26 Chapter 26 - Future Proofing

Darrien woke the next morning, his body felt like someone had pressed weights onto each arm, he felt weaker then he had ever been, something had physically drained him even though he slept the entire night, he had yet slept in for an extra few hours, which was the strangest point of this whole process.

His eyes looking over to the curtains as he slowly exited the bed, his body starting to respond as he let out a small yawn, moving over to the curtain's as he peeked outside into the garden, the entire manor area was massive, it was almost crazy to how powerful the Blackrose clan had become. He took a moment to look around the room.

The room was close to a Victorian feel; the old heavy curtains blocked most of the sun, many paintings around the walls and the four poster bed with curtains made everything seem more old-fashioned.

Darrien walked into the bathroom that was attached, taking the time to clean himself, a few moments inside he would freeze as he looked down to both his wounds, both of them completely healed as he just stared for a moment, his eyes going wide as he quickly then realized something, his toned body had changed.

He moved to the mirror with a stunned expression, his toned body replaced by one that was more muscular; he could even see a small six pack starting to form, his eyes almost watering as he was now one of the few people with a body that would make people jealous.

"How is this possible, I wonder if it was someone from the Blackrose clan, they have amazing magic to heal and maybe improve my body, though creepy that they did it so quickly!"

He said shivering as his mind went to the profound healing that they had performed.

He placed all his thoughts into the back of his mind, quickly getting dressed after finishing his shower, his clothing and items having appeared here, he was again surprised, but he placed these thoughts again to the back of his mind, otherwise he may have gone insane by the type of ideas this clan had.

He would move to the door, his hand pulling open the brass handle down as his almost jumped out of his skin, the strange cat woman standing outside, her black ears twitching as she looked up to him with an uninterested gaze, he felt like his heart was getting stabbed by this woman as she held no importance or interest in him.

She would nod her head, Akatski had waited for him outside this door, able to take small cat naps while staying alert was one of the reasons she was assigned to him, ready to keep an eye on the male for a reasonable amount of time without him being able to escape.

She would look up into his eyes and start walking away, beginning to wave for him to follow. "We have prepared breakfast; you have a choice between Continental breakfast or English full... Albion full?" She was confused at if the wording had changed though she did not care.

Darrien followed as he listened to the cat woman, clearly only hearing parts as he looked around the hall in amazement, it was such an exciting place to gaze around, the walls covered in many paintings and other such ancient items. He would eventually get into the hall, his eyes landing on the massive amounts of food on each plate, his eyes lighting up with delight at this was pure heaven.

"I'll just help myself!" He said with a big grin, sitting down at the first seat he could find, moving his hand as he started just to grab an empty plate, his eyes looking around as he would reach out to grab some sausages, though within a second he felt his hand getting slapped by the cat woman standing next to him.

He would stare at her for a second, confused as neither he or she spoke, his hand reaching out to get the sausages again before feeling the warning slap hit his hand back.

"Who are you, denying a man his breakfast is a punishment." He said in a harsh fake tone with a joking tone behind it, though it seemed the humour is lost with the cat woman who would shrug.

"You must ask me for the food; then I will put it onto your plate for you, it's rude to get your food here."

She seemed very serious as he looked to her and then around the room, spotting Karen opposite him as she was getting her food, a small smirk on her lips, clearly enjoying the show.

"Why can Karen do it then but I cant?"

Akatski just stared at him for a moment before calmly responding. "Mistress has requested for this; I have to follow her orders, you are the guest and have to be treated correctly."

Darrien felt his annoyance rising but would play the game, sitting back as he knew Karen was enjoying this show so that he would put it into reverse.

"Fair enough Akatski, please give me some sausages, cut them up into small pieces for me."

He would watch the woman grab some of the sausages, cutting them into pieces, after she was done she would look to him for confirmation that it was correct.

"Feed them to me."

Karen felt her blood rushing as she heard this command, looking over at them both in pure shock as she watched the maid doing as he commanded, putting the fork to his mouth with the sausage on it. Getting fed by the woman was making her anger, his mouth taking the sausage from the fork, they looked like a cute couple.

"Stop that Akatski! Stop feeding him!"

Darrien would stand up, looking angry as he looked at Karen. "Let me eat my food then, either do that or I will keep doing embarrassing things all day!"

Karen stared at the man, her eyes looking over his body as she just noticed, he had become different, and she had not even realised it, her face blushing as she huffed. "Fine, do as he wants Akatski."

Darrien felt like celebrating, his first victory again Karen in years; he wants to jump around and observe.

He had won against the end game boss.
