2 Loki

Today's the day I'm getting my beast, I hope it has a fire ability. "Loki, come down," said my mom. "Ok, I'm coming." I looked in the mirror and saw myself looking at a 5 foot 2 inches, 10 years old with black hair, almond-like skin, and sliver grey eyes that looked mysterious; like they were thinking of something.

I was walking down the stairs when I heard my dad quip, " Well how's the champion who gets his beast today". Grinning I replied, " I'm fine dad. How're the king and queen". My dad chuckled "your mother and I are fine. Eat your breakfast so we can go and get good seats at the ceremony." As my mom came in with a plate full of pancakes. I thanked her and ate. We finished eating and started walking out of the house when I saw a girl the same height as me with bright brown hair and eyes that looked like they were changing colors running towards me screaming, "Loki, how long does it take for you to get out of your house. I've been waiting". I gave her a questioning look, asking, " Really Astrid, how long." She giggled, "A minute, but it doesn't matter let's hurry to the ceremony, my mom doesn't like to wait".

We had finally sat down when we saw 2 people coming towards us there were a boy and a girl. The boy and the girl were twins. They both had dark skin colors, the boy had black hair while the girl had brownish hair. They both had dark brown color eyes and were about the same height, the boy was taller by just a few centimeters. The boy yelled quite loud while bowing and said, "What's up man and woman." I had chuckled and got up and hugged him while replying, "I'm fine Alex. How are you and your twin sister, Alice". Alex opened his mouth to say something when someone interrupted him.

"Welcome children of the future. Today's the day you all will awaken. I will call your names and when your name is called you should come and take a sip from this. It's a glass jar filled with honey from a beast in the central continent that will be in the hands of Miss Betty". One by one people came up after their name was called. After half an hour my name was called and I had started to walk up the stage. "Loki, here take this" Miss Betty said as she was standing with a cane to holding her up. I had thankfully replied "Ok, Miss Betty" and had taken the sip.

I started to feel mana for the first time and had started to practice the Zynx that was imprinted into my mind when I was born. I had started to practice it skipping the first step (gathering mana since I had already been filled with mana) and went directly to the second step which was to purify it. Inside my core was where all the mana, I had started to turn my mana into a hollow sphere where inside was all the impurities. I started to pull the impurities out drop by drop and put it aside till it all floating next to my mana. People always said this was the hardest part of the awakening and I had finished it easily. I moved onto the last step which was refining. I started to take all my mana and compact it into a cube trying to continue making it smaller and more compact. I had finished after what seemed like 1 hour but in reality, only 1 minute had passed. After I had finished performing Zynx my core had started to turn white. When it was done, it started to change colors over and over with the colors of the rainbow until it had stopped on the color black. Then the shape of a creature had started to form becoming more clear than before.

Finally, you could see what the animal was; it was a snake. I had gone back to my seat and asked Astrid how long was I up there for she replied to me in a voice that seemed jealous "Not long, at most 2 minutes. So what's your beast?" I told her secretly "no". She started to laugh and said in a scary voice while pinching my ear, "You better tell me, Loki Grey, or else you will feel pain." I pulled away holding my ear, and weakly said, "A snake now leave me alone". She started to talk to me but I ignored her and started to focus on the snake in my mama core. The snake, which was coiled, had started to move all around inside my mana core. When it had finally stopped moving my mana core became less black until I reached the Black Iron stage. It was trying to break past the barrier. When it couldn't break it, it looked at me. Its eyes look like they had seen everything in this world. It looked like it was trying to tell me something so I tried to talk to it. "Hello, do you want a name"; it nodded. I was trying to decide what name to give it when I forgot to think of what gender it is. I looked at its tail to find out which gender it was, turns out he's a boy. (If you look at the end of a snake's tail if it is male the end of their tail will be thicker and longer while females will be thinner and shorter.) I named him Grey after my last name and because he is grey all over.
