7 Chapter 5 Onmyouji

Hours have passed since they've started their journey to the Land of Dawn, climbing mountains, passing furious rivers and walking long terrains until they've finally saw the first one in the map, the bamboo forest. Before entering the forest, Hayabusa noticed that Kagura was not in good shape. She was breathing pretty hard and was intensely sweating. He decided to have a stop walking for a while and have a break, the girls seemed a little bit tired but Kagura was the one who was having a hard time the most.

She was always like this ever since their childhood, she had great magic capabilities but it's the opposite when it comes to physical power. Getting sick constantly was a huge hinder for her to be stronger. There were even times where she would not go outside her home for weeks because of her condition, that's why her mother asked him to take care of her until she can take of herself.

Hayabusa let them take shelter under the bamboos and took his leave to find some food for them. Hanabi and Angela were left to take care of her, but the moment Angela checked on her, she was already dozing off. She decided to talk with Kagura to pass time.

"So um, your umbrella have some magic powers?" she asked

"W-well it's true but it's not just that, this seimei umbrella have the power of different souls but that doesn't mean the holder has nothing to do with it. The greater the magic the holder possess, the more techniques the umbrella can handle. Even with my great magic powers, I still have some difficulties in using it, specially when I use a spell that requires huge amount of magic power" she explained it thoroughly even in the state she was in.

"Is there a chance that somebody can use the seimei umbrella?" she asked.

"Technically yes but you need to destroy the link between the first holder first and there's only one way to do so" she paused for a moment making Angela more curious and when she was eager to know, she looked at her with cold eyes.

"Death, the first holder needs to die in order for the link to be destroyed. Once it's destroyed, the soul of the first holder will be sucked into the umbrella, staying in the darkness for eternity" her tone have shown a slight touch of sadness.

"S-so there are h-human souls in there, not only shikigamis?" she was pretty scared asking that question but her curiosity overcame her emotions.

"Yes, all of the souls that have been slained by the umbrella will be sucked into it and the worst part is you can see them while at it" The last thing she said had shivered Angela in fear, she'd probably can't probably endure that. But even so she still continued their conversation.

"C-can you get them out?" she asked

"Im afraid I don't know the answer to your question but now that you've I think I remember something about it" she looked up at the sky, thinking what it was.

"Ah I remember it now, grandma always told me some interesting stories but this one was the most intriguing".

"And what was it? What its about? Her excitement got the best of her, cutting of what she was saying.

"It was the story of the first Onmyouji"
