16 Chapter 14 Close Call

Is this.. really the end? I even haven't said goodbye to them. He said to himself as the bullet was getting nearer a tear fall from his eyes. Live on, Kagura, I won't be there for you anymore but I'll be watching you, the thought of it made him emotional but in the end he still smiled then closed his eyes waiting for his death. It's already been a while but he was still alive so decided to open his eyes and saw a shield that surrounded him, the bullet wasn't able to pierce the should through ensuring his survival.

"That was close! Are you okay Mr Hayabusa?" it came from a voice from above his head, it was a toy puppet.

"A-angela?!" he asked as he wiped the tears of his eyes. The puppet smiled back as it looked at him, suddenly a blast of flowers appeared in front of him, it was Kagura teleported with her umbrella with Hanabi. She noticed a bullet stucked in the shield and got furious.

"Grrrr, who did this?!" she shouted.

"I don't know! Suddenly someone started shooting at me!" he claimed.

"A bullet? Sis?!?" the boy who was still apprehended by Hayabusa, seemed to recalled something.

"And who is this magician kid anyway?!" Kagura asked him.

"Wait, did you just say "sister"? " Hanabi held his face up at her. "Are you saying that the one who did this is your sister?" she seriously asked him face to face.

"Y-yes, she is a sniper, a great one actually. I remember that she said she'll always protect me though I haven't seen her since" he felt threatened with her eyes so he answered with full honesty.

"Great, now this makes things much more easier" she stood up as she get him out from Hayabusa's hands. "Huh, a-aren't you mad at me?" Harley had some hope with him as she looked at him then smiled innocently.

"H-hey!! Don't be fooled Hanabi, his sister is responsible for almost killing Hayabusa!!" Kagura was getting mad at her decision.

"Hm? Just who is getting fooled exactly?" she wielded her katana then put it on his neck. If you don't show up yourself in five seconds, I'll kill him!!" she shouted at the top of her lungs assuming the she heard her.

"five.." she started counting as the blade was getting nearer on his neck.

"four.."

"HELP ME SISTER!!!!" Harley was shouting, begging for her sister to save him.

"three..."

"I think.. you're going too far" Kagura told her as she kept continuing.

"two.. "

"I don't want to see this" Angela said as she covered her eyes in fear

"LESLEYYY!!!!!!!" He shouted her name with all of his might while he continued crying for his life.

"Sorry kid, but it looks like it's time for you to sleep" he already felt the katana touching his skin as she was ready to cut his head off.

"Wait!!" A lady with a long red braided hair showed herself to them, it was his sister, Lesley. She threw her gun to the ground then raised both of her hands on her sides. "Now get off that blade on him" she commanded.

"Not so fast, Kagura, check her pockets, check everything that you think where she can hide some weapons" Kagura obeyed her order and touched her body "There's none!" informing Hanabi as she stored back her katana before letting him go. He fell to the ground and hold his neck coughing.

"Harley!! Are you alright?!" Lesley went to him worried as he continued coughing. "Y-yes, thank you for saving me sister" his were still red due to his cries but he smiled. They had a good warm reunion then they apologized.

"Im sorry that I almost killed you, I didn't mean it, Its just that he was in danger and I need to make a quick decision" she bowed down at them, she's really earnest for their forgiveness. Harley pitied her sister while looking at her, he felt responsible for everything that have happen so he apologised as well. "Im sorry too, for everything that I've done" feeling embarassed, he looked side ways.

"Well, everything's fine now so there's no reason to be angry anymore, I accept your apologies" Hayabusa said then gave Lesley a hand for her to stand up which she thanked him for. They noticed that the was starting to set and it would be dangerous for them to continue their journey, fortunately there was a place where they can sleep for the night, it was a small house that was built from bamboos, it was where Lesley made it as her hidden base. It was small but sufficient for everyone to sleep. As they headed to their destination, Kagura noticed that Angela was looking pretty sad.

"Are you okay Angela? you look kinda pale" she asked.

"N-no I'm fine thank you, it's just that-"

"About the laboratory?" she was surprised that she got it right which made her eyes widen a little.

"Yes, Im just worried about Dr. Gogh" she answered.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure that we'll get there tomorrow" her words made her feel better as she smiled and nodded. They've reached the house Lesley was talking about then called it a day as they've fallen deep asleep peacefully.
