13 Unjust

Devastate was without words, the pain from his missing arm became dull. Though, the pain was subsiding the anger within his soul came alive in his fury.

Baldur was a being without morals for he showed nothing for anyone. He was actually worse than the blind, the meaning of monster was really what he was.

Baldur smirked looking at Crusher's skull, it was like he had no shame. "I think the skull would fit you."

Devastate had to control himself or else risk his very life. If he were to lash out, he would most surely die and leave Belle alone. The commitment he made to her was something he was going to keep.

The roaring from the waterfall was much like his soul roaring out in rage.

"I suppose it will.", he spoke coldly as Baldur approached him.

Baldur smirked looking behind him, Sawtooth walked in with his twisted grin on his face.

"Heh, I hope you like it.", Baldur said this as he tore the skull apart in two and place the top half of the skull on Devastate's massive cranium.

Baldur laughed as he took the lower jaw of the skull and placed it on Devastate's lower jaw, the skull was painted in a crimson color to signify the loyalty to Baldur and his clan.

Devastate felt a sickening feeling in the center of his gut, the feeling of Crusher's skull on him made his entire being itch.

Sawtooth snickered as he spoke, "I got tired of Crusher and to see his skull on him makes me glad."

Baldur smirked walking by Devastate, "Crusher was not even that tough."

Devastate turned around slowly, he listened to their words. He didn't want to do anything to anyone, but that was inevitable. Belle was his top and only priority

The feeling that he had for Belle, was the only importance that he cared about. He accepted that he couldn't save anyone else, only Belle could be saved by him.

The behemoth was going to do something very different, he was going to be worse than Baldur. The only way you can defeat a monster is to be a much stronger and sinister monster than the previous one.

Belle had spoke of never seeing him as anything else but her hero, her savior. He wondered if that would change, would she view him differently if he became this so called monster.

He had the title of second of command and with it the power as well. He may as well stop pretending and accept this new found direction.

When the time comes he would fight Baldur and kill him.

Devastate walked out from Baldur's cave, his gaze shifted to everyone in the clan that followed Baldur. The skull he wore would no doubt catch many eyes, those who looked up to Crusher would surely look at him in pure hatred.

That was okay, he would accept such eyes. He was not perfect, nor was he good or bad. Devastate was nothing far of a monster to some while to one he is her savior.

Baldur was talking to Sawtooth behind his back, he looked back at them as they talked.

The talk he had heard mentioned from others was now coming to light.

"I know of another clan close by, I say we give them a visit.", smirked Baldur.

Sawtooth looked at him like that was the best idea he had ever heard, "Sure, and we can take some hostages?"

This clan would go from one to another, and raid each and every clan until they had complete control of everything. These hostages they speak of were the evidence of forcefully making them do their bidding.

Devastate glared at Baldur, this feeling of rage will be his fuel to kill Baldur one day.

The behemoth knew that this was a horrible direction, but by staying he would learn of Baldur's weakness and exploit it.

He of course could take Belle and leave, the only risk would be that he would be followed and most likely killed by Baldur and his lackeys.

Devastate would follow through with the tasks that Baldur wants him to do tonight. Afterwards will he decide his plan of action.

The only thing about night, it always seemed to roll in like a fog. The darkness would remain giving cover to gluttonous beasts that live on being unmerciful.

The valley was proving to be a perfect place for a clan, with steady teamwork and communication did they get the camp done. The evening was coming in, and the bone walls were set.

The youngsters were already asleep after playing and practicing their skills. According to Grim the amount of blind herbivores were fairly plentiful where they were. With blind herbivores around there was no doubt that blind carnivores were nearby.

Gambit was able to find a good amount of herbs, which meant that if someone were to get hurt they would be completely covered.

Scarface was resting quite early, the wound on his side seemed to be doing better, of course with the forced rest by Gambit.

Bloodmaw was quite glad that they were able to get this place up and to do it fast as well. With the amount they had, it was easy to get the camp done. When more join they will no doubt increase the size of the camp to accommodate the new recruits.

Swiftscale was beside the youngsters as they slept, he took the title of tutor seriously. When the youngsters become old enough, he would most likely have his work cut out for him.

Teens were fairly difficult only cause they push things to far, that and they are inexperienced when it comes to knowing that they are not ready yet.

Ebony was looking out, it always seemed like she was looking for something. To some they know what she is looking for.

Swiftscale couldn't help but think back to what he talked about with Bloodmaw. He wanted to help her find out if her mate was dead or not. That would be difficult though only cause he didn't know who he was or what he looked like.

As well as he didn't want to put her through the heartbreaking truth. The truth hurts more sometimes than being lied too.

A silhouette soon appeared in the distance, Ebony took notice of it and she blinked. "Hey guys?"

Grim walked over and he looked out, his eyes narrowed sharply.

Bloodmaw came up beside Grim, he frowned. "It's just one."

Ebony looked at him, "It is?"

Swiftscale looked out, "You suspect that this is a trap?"

The silhouette was running, but how they ran didn't seem at all clumsy. New faces were hard to determine if they were trustworthy or not. Just how this individual ran, it was panicked.

Grim frowned walking out toward them, his guard was up.

Bloodmaw followed Grim, "You stay back."

Gambit looked after them, his sharp eyes clearly picked up something on the silhouette. "They are hurt."

Grim blinked as he got closer the individual fell to the floor.

Bloodmaw looked surprised, "What the hell?"

The ragged sounds of hoarse breathing came from the individual, their back was heavily torn up. Grim looked at the wounds, he looked back at Bloodmaw as he walked up.

"The poor bastard...", spoke Bloodmaw looking at the wounds.

The wounds on the metriacanthosaurus were great in size, something had definitely gotten a hold of him and didn't want to let go. Though, it was starting to get dark his body had orange stripes throughout his dark colored body. His breathing was ragged which gave hint to having broken bones.

Bloodmaw looked to where he came from, his eyes glared in that direction.

Grim looked in the same direction, he looked back hearing a sound and saw that it was Gambit. "We told you to stay back."

Gambit frowned, "I can't ignore someone who is hurt. He needs treatment or else he is going to die."

Bloodmaw kept his attention on the dark forest ahead of him in the distance. "Take him back."

Grim nodded as he lifted the wounded brute and walked toward the camp, Gambit followed him.

Bloodmaw noticed another silhouette approaching from the darkness, and then another.

Ebony blinked looking at Bloodmaw, Swiftscale took note of two more individuals coming out of the dark forest.

Grim put the wounded metriacanthosaurus down before quickly walking back out to Bloodmaw.

These two individuals came out, both were rexes. The way that they walked didn't sit well with Bloodmaw, for they appeared to be to calm.

Grim stood beside Bloodmaw and he glared toward the two.

Both of the rex before them didn't seem fazed by Bloodmaw or Grim. One of the two rexes had a heavy amount of blood on his mouth and serrated teeth.

Bloodmaw blinked when one of the two rexes charged at him, but was surprised when they stopped.

A loud snarl came from the other rex behind the one that charged, it was then the thought occurred to him. The one rex that had blood on his mouth was blind, but they ceased to the snarl.

"Who are you?",spoke the rex behind the blind one who bared his teeth at both Bloodmaw and Grim.

"I'm Bloodmaw and this is Grim.", replied Bloodmaw who was surprised by the rex who was talking to him.

Never had he seen a blind rex with someone who was not blind, further more the rex talking to him was a female.

"I see you two moved in.", she spoke taking notice of the camp behind them.

Grim looked at the blind rex who was snarling uncontrollably at them.

"I'm sorry for my mate to lash out at you, he doesn't know much of control.", she spoke as she made a sound which in turn calmed the blind rex.

"Did he attack someone else?", asked Bloodmaw.

"Yeah, he attacked the brute who you just took. I would appreciate that you bring him back.", she exclaimed coldly. Her tone made the blind rex bare his bloody fangs, his body shook in a loose rage.

"Why?", replied Bloodmaw.

"He destroyed my nest, along with our offspring.", she spoke harshly.

Grim blinked as he looked at Bloodmaw, Bloodmaw on the other hand frowned in sympathy. "I'm sorry for your loss, really I am."

Ebony was watching from the camp, both of the strangers were so strange to her. Only cause she was use to seeing the female rex being bigger than the males. In this case the female was smaller than all three brutes. Not only that but the blind rex at her side was fairly massive, he could easily overpower them all if he really wanted too.

"Will you give him back, if you really feel anything you would let us end his miserable life!", the female said this with pain.

The loss of her offspring had obviously blinded her eyes, and her mate being a blind beast showed no remorse for anything in his way. The wounds on the metriacanthosaurus proved his viciousness and lust for blood.

Bloodmaw went silent, Grim on the other hand kept his eyes on the blind beast before him.

Her mate was a solid dark brown color with a red hue, the top of his face was a thick white color sort of like that from a skull, and once more he had like horns coming out from the top of his cranium.

The female was a solid light brown, but she was small compared to all three of them.

"You wish to end his life.", asked Bloodmaw.

"I do!", exclaimed the female with tears in her eyes.

Grim took on a fighting posture as her mate snarled in a animalistic way, his drool had blood in it as it fell from his powerful jaws.

What would be the right choice here, to kill someone ruthlessly over the fact they had destroyed a nest. To lose something so precious was a common occurrence in this world. But it was not the end of the world, they could try again.

Bloodmaw looked at the female who shook in her sorrow, he looked at her blind mate who seemed to understand her. He acted blind but was he really or did she give up on being in a clan that she returned to the blind. He didn't know.
