15 Beseige

It all happened violently fast, the force of such an attack would be engraved into Baldur's mind. Sawtooth looked like a frozen statue as he watched what was happening, everyone within the clan was also stunned as they stopped what they were doing.

Baldur's head was inside of Devastate's powerful jaws, one of his fangs had punctured Baldur's left eye which was the reason for his shrill cry.

The blood that poured out from Baldur's head was a sign of how hard Devastate was biting and digging his fangs into his flesh.

Crusher's skull which was on Devastate's head seemed to be getting revenge onto Baldur as well for the fangs upon the top jaw were also into the brute.

"GET OFF ME!?!", roared Baldur violently for the loss of his eye was bringing forth his anger.

Devastate opened his mouth only to clamp down hard on the same spot, a distinct chomp was heard after. Baldur's anger doubled due to him not letting go.

No one said a word, nor did anyone help the leader.

The only downside of being a tyrant, when you are being attacked no one would come to their rescue. Furthermore, to see someone attack the leader would bring new found fear.

You would have to be crazy to attack Baldur, in this case it was not because of insanity more so it was out of rage.

Devastate showing his strength slung Baldur to the side, his fangs scraping along the left side of Baldur's face. A loud thud erupted when Baldur hit the floor, everyone moved out of the way.

There was a deep silence that filled the air, the top of Crusher's skull had flung off and landed ironically near Baldur.

Heavy amounts of blood poured from Baldur's face, he clearly didn't feel pain but the loss of his eye had no doubt startled him.

Lifting his head he looked up and saw no one, Devastate had fled when he had the chance and after such a attack he hurried to Belle.

Baldur snarled loudly as he stood up, "FIND HIM!?! KILL HIM!?!"

His thunderous command made many flinch as some ran after Devastate.

The lower jaw of Crusher had fell off of Devastate the moment he ran to his nest where Belle was. The night would bring a new fear upon the one who had attacked Baldur.

This would bring on hell, and Devastate knew it.

Belle looked at Devastate with such kindness but she noticed something was wrong from how fast Devastate was running.

"What is going on?", she asked.

Devastate didn't stop, he moved his head down as he carefully maneuvered Belle onto his massive head while still running, "We are leaving! Hold on!"

"Whoa!", exclaimed Belle as she was moved onto Devastate's head.

Devastate was running into the trees, and the heavy shrubbery. The branches would break to his strength and size. Belle held onto him with her head down in order to dodge the many branches and leaves.

Devastate blinked and turned quickly as three brutes came out in front of him. "Damn!"

The three brutes had Baldur's marks, he was no doubt after him. If Baldur got his claws on him he would surely die, and Belle would surely suffer the same fate.

Seeing a large fallen tree that separated two lands did he quickly ran onto it, Belle looked behind with wide eyes. "Oh no!"

Devastate glanced behind him to see Baldur charging in on him. "Shit!"

Baldur was charging at him as he roared, "YOU WILL PAY FOR BETRAYING ME!?!"

Devastate looked ahead as he looked back, he narrowed his eyes before saying, "Get ready to jump!"

Below the fallen tree was a fast moving river, he decided to jump off. If he didn't Baldur would surely get a hold of Belle and him.

The behemoth got ready to jump, his eyes went wide as Baldur grabbed a hold of his leg suddenly.

"NO!?!", yelled Belle as Devastate smirked at her as he shook her off of his back.

"I will be right behind.", Devastate said as he watched her fall before glaring at Baldur.

"YOU WILL DIE!", roared Baldur with fire in his eye as he sank his claws into Devastate's leg.

Devastate clicked his tongue as he used his powerful tail to hit Baldur, this attack caused Baldur to let go and try to balance himself onto the fallen tree. The behemoth took this as his chance to jump, the water below soon made contact with his back.

Baldur snarled loudly his entire being seething with rage as he watched Devastate fall. "I WILL KILL YOU!?!", he roared after him.

Bubbling, the sounds muffled due to the water.

Rushing water would take them somewhere, but anywhere was better than where they were. Baldur would not rest until he killed him, but of course he knew that.

Devastate lifted his head, the behemoth looked around and panicked when he didn't see Belle. "Belle!?!", he called out as he coughed out water.

He looked around before his head was swallowed again thanks to the water. Popping his head out again did begin to look terrified. Where was she!?!

Devastate couldn't lose her now, he had promised to protect her. The water obviously didn't care as it continued to take him to god knows where.

Going under again did he feel the pain in his leg, Baldur left him with a parting gift how nice of him.

Devastate couldn't think about that for long, he had to get out of the strong rapids. He looked out of the water before deciding to make his way to land, he hoped that Belle had done the same thing.

Coming onto land did he look to the water before looking around, he still couldn't see her.

"Belle!", he yelled loudly.

The rapids had taken him down fast, and no doubt that the rapids did the same for her. She was much smaller so she was probably further down than where he was.

Devastate ran down the side of the rapids, the darkness proving to be against him. His eyes focused for any kind of movement, he stopped every now and then as he looked around.

He actually was starting to think the worst, his entire being was shaking and it was not due to the cold but to not finding Belle.

The behemoth was panting, the wound on his leg fairly deep. He looked around as he continued to walk, he still hadn't found her yet.

Devastate blinked when he heard a voice down further from where he was, his heart leapt into his throat. "Belle!?!"

The voice got louder as he got closer, the pain from his wound he ignored. When he saw Belle he was relieved, the panic disappeared in that instant. Belle hugged herself, she looked at him in fear but it went away as she scrambled to run to him.

"Oh My God!", she exclaimed very happy to see that he was okay.

Lowering his massive cranium, Devastate looked at her. He was checking to see if she was okay. "Are you okay?", he asked.

Belle looked up at him and she nodded as she touched his face softly, "I was so worried!"

The behemoth blinked in surprise as Belle smacked his nose. "..!"

Belle looked at him visibly upset, and scared. The tears that came out of her eyes proved that. "Don't do that to me ever again!?!"

He was always worrying her, he didn't mean to do that to her. His expression seemed softer as he spoke, "I am sorry, I couldn't live with myself if anything happened to you."

Belle blinked at his words, she looked down before hugging him. The way she was hugging him made it seem like he would disappear from her. So to make sure that didn't happen she hugged him.

Devastate could see that she was scared, to have someone care about him this much made him feel uneasy. If something did happen to her, what would he do?

He doubted if he could handle another loss, the fear of losing her really made him see the world as a relentless monstrosity. She was all that he had. He couldn't trust anyone now not with Baldur out to get him.

"We have to move.", he spoke slowly as he looked at her.

Belle nodded softly as she looked at him, "Where would we go?"

Devastate looked at her with unsure eyes, "I am not sure but anywhere is better than where we are."

Belle looked around as he lifted his massive cranium, the rapids had took them to a different location. One that he didn't know.

Devastate began to walk, Belle was close to him while she hugged herself. The darkness gave the forest a foreboding look, the possibility of being attacked was incredibly high.

The behemoth stopped as he lowered his head, "You are still recovering so I can't have you walking."

Belle looked up at him as she carefully got onto his head, she blinked noticing his wounds. "You are hurt!?! Where is your arm!?!"

Devastate lifted his massive head as he continued to walk, "Got them from that bastard."

Belle looked at him surprised before looking like her heart broke, "You keep getting hurt..."

"Hmph, I can handle it. Besides, you are more important.", lightly laughed Devastate.

Belle looked at him a little flushed, her expression became affectionate. "Still, I don't want you to hurt or suffer."

Devastate merely smirked, "Tell the world that."

How could he allow himself to be smitten by a raptor? He never believed he could be since he didn't like raptors. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't help but care for this raptor. Belle was just so different from the rest.

"I do.", replied Belle. "Since that doesn't work I have decided."

Devastate looked at her as he waited for her to finish.

"I will work hard and pray for you to never have to be alone and to make sure you are always happy.", finished Belle with a smile as she looked out to the sphere in the sky.

"..!', hearing these words did he close his eyes and scoff. "Cut that out."

Belle merely replied, "No. You will never be lonely cause I am here with you."

The behemoth opened his eyes, he looked up to see the moon.

Stopping on a small hill, the moon shone down on the both of them. "I will make sure my prayers and wishes are heard by the moon. So one day if I leave this world the moon will be beside you always.", softly spoke Belle as she looked down at Devastate.

The behemoth didn't know why but it seemed like the moon became brighter, of course it was for he was crying yet again. How could she make a prayer or wish like that. "Nothing will happen to you...", he replied in a faint emotional voice.

Belle was to pure for this world and him, she didn't want him to be lonely or sad. To think such a being could exist. But that scared him only cause such kindness could easily be killed by this cruel world they live in.

Belle smiled softly at him, "In that case nothing will happen to your happiness. I won't let it."

As they shared this moment together they had to decide where to go. Devastate began to walk in a direction, he didn't know where to go but if he was with Belle then things would be fine.

Baldur stared at the raging rapids, he hadn't of moved from that spot. Sawtooth slowly approached, "Everyone is looking for him."

"...", Baldur looked to be in a deep trance before looking at Sawtooth.

Sawtooth flinched, "..!"

Baldur glared, "We will attack every single clan, no one will escape me. Not even Devastate!"

Sawtooth lowered his head, the fear in his eyes evident, "Yes! Of course!"

Baldur looked at the water below before walking away, Sawtooth looked after Baldur before looking down at the water. "He had that raptor with him..."

Baldur stopped, "He did didn't he?"

Sawtooth looked at Baldur who smirked cruelly.

Baldur walked on, "I'm going to reel him in and it's going to be fun."
