39 A comeback

I was dueling who I thought was a new camper since he or she had a protection mask. But from the way they fought you could tell her/his experience level was pretty high.

The though of Rital flooded my head giving the person a milli-second of my vulnerability. His/her copper sword's tip was pointed at my neck forcing me to surrender.

"Who are you." I asked intrigued.

As the masked fighter removed her mask my jaw dropped to the ground.

Rital's POV:

I removed my mask and Seth dropped his sword in shock. I was lightly smiling.

Looking at his face I thought he was disappointed and I felt my heart drop. My eyes began to look at my feet when I felt a his strong arms wrap around me lifting me off the ground.

This caught many of the other campers attention and they watched as we hugged. I lightly giggled as he twirled me around.

He put me down but didn't pull me out of the hug. "You scared us." His husky voice whispered into my ear.

I shivered at his warm breath on my necks me pulled away from the hug and looked into his eyes smiling.

"I missed you." I let out in a whisper.

"I missed you too princess."

As I looked around everyone looked confused and I realized no one really knew why we were hugging so passionately.

Jake came storming into the crowd and pulled me away from Seth. "I don't think you want to be around him Rital."

The tension was so high you could cut it with a knife. "Guys let's talk about this elsewhere." I said walking away from the scene. The boys followed behind me giving each other death stares and staying away from each other

Everyone stood there in shock absorbing what just happened as we walked off.

Once you 3 get alone Jake goes out on a rant. "ARE YOH SERIOUS! He almost killed you the first day you came at camp and now you two are all buddy buddy giving each other hugs and giggling at one another!"

"Jake calm down." I started but he interrupted me.

"Not to mention the fact that you are the daughter of the snow goddess and he is the son of the god of fire. You guys are complete opposites."

"So what?" Seth asks stepping up to Jake and pushing him back.

"Guys stop it! Can I just stay in peace. I just woke up from a coma!"

"Yeah, and Seth's the reason you were in it." Jake whisper underneath his breath.

"What did you say to me fish face?" Seth yelled but I jumped in front of him before things could get to far.

"Let's walk away guys, just take some time to cool down. Got it?"

After a while, both the boys nodded and stormed back to their cabins. I went back to the training grounds to see everyone taking about me. As I walk away Mayar runs up to me and shouts, "RITAL, I know you just woke up but who are you going with to the Gods ball?"

"What ball?" I asked

"Oh my God! It's one of the most important events in the entire year! You can't miss it!"

"I don't know, I don't even have anything to wear."

"I figured, So I made you one!" Mayar grabs my arm and drags you to her cabin.

As I entered I could smell heavy perfume and see posters of cute men all over the walls. Mayar goes over to a Wardrobe and pulls out a stunning baby blue ball gown. It was fitted on the top but puffs out past your waist. On the bottom there is a little snow flakes completing the dress.

"I-I love it!" I said.

"I knew you would! Now let's talk about your date? Did anyone ask you yet?"

My mind was instantly flooded with Seth as I imagine us dancing together on a dance floor with his hand tightly on my waist as we sway to the music.

"Or do you want to be asked by someone..." she added. I looked at her surprised. "Come on, I can see that look on your face. You want a certain someone it ask you, don't you?

"I guess." I sighed. "But I don't think he will ask me."

The entire day everyone was asking each other to the ball and taking about what they were going to wear. I went up to my cabin, and after spending all afternoon there, I decided to get dressed to take a walk in the forest. I put on a slightly oversized sweater and tucked it in to my gray skirt. I threw on a pair of booties and marched out of the door down to a pathway leading into the safe sections of the forest.

As I walk down I hear someone is following me. As I get nervous ice appeared at my feet making me slightly smile. I kept walking to hear someone behind me. I turned around in a flash to see who it was but no one was there.

I suddenly felt a warm pair of hand wrap around my waist making me shutter. I turn around and saw Seth there smiling and I couldn't help but smile back and pull him into a tight hug.

"Hello Princess." He said as I blushed and bit down on my lip. "I have a question for you."

I raised an eyebrow gesturing him to ask. "Will go go to the dance with me?" He said pulling out a small box. As he opened a gorgeous ring was revealed with gems and a snowflake in the middle.

I held my breath and smile nodding my head gratefully. "Yes!" He picked me up and spun me around as I giggled.

Once he put me down he took the ring out of the box it was in and slipped it on my index finger. "A perfect fit."

"Now it seems like you have somewhere you want to be but I advise you to go to dinner. It has been a long time since you have eaten a real meal." He said softly lifting my chin up to meet his eyes.

I nodded and grabbed his hand as we walked towards the dining hall.
