we had already played a whole bunch of matches in Kalorant and after we got tired of it, we turned to a game, I had recently purchased. I mean I did purchase the game recently but what I meant was I purchased the whole studio developing the game with it too. Kinecraft had been super popular for a few years now, and even though this purchase burned a somewhat significant hole in the budget, but because I was the one who pushed for buying the studio no one dared to complain. after implementing some minor ways to earn more money from the game, we have predicted that if the studio continues this revenue we are gonna recover the amount we bought the studio for in less than five years. Which is miraculous, to say the least.

we had started a new world from scratch and I thought it had only been a few hours since we started playing it, but when I looked at the time on my taskbar. it was already 5 P.M. I shut down my PC and got up. the others looked at me with curious eyes. the man third from my right spoke up " bro, leaving so soon?"

I nodded to his question "gotta go grocery shopping with my girlfriend."

he sighed "come on dude, did you forget, bros before hoes?"

I flipped the lever to my system and only my setup went down in the table. "hey, you wanna be fired?"

he sighed once again "young people" and then shook his head.

as soon as I went out of the room, Mike greeted me and reported to me "the board of directors were very pleased with your decision to buy the Mozang studios after they got to know about the revenue it has been making after the studio implemented the changes you ordered them to make. also, Captain Kent called me and said that Ian Hoyles has lost one of his testicles but the other one is completely functional, when Mr.Hoyles got to know about his son's condition he was only told that he was kicked by Miss Caitlin, he was also told that his son was facing charges for trespassing, Mr. Hoyles said that his son is a grown-up now and he should face his problems himself. since he was only charged with trespassing he will only have to face a fine while that detective and the bodyguard is a whole different story."

I smiled "that's cool"

we got into the private elevator and mike pressed the button for the first floor.

he then looked at me seriously "sir, have you been ignoring miss Caitlin's calls?"

"What are yo-" then it hit me "oh shit! I switched off my phone when we started the meeting!"

"it's not worthy to be called a meeting but, yes Miss Caitlin was worried so she contacted me instead, and I told her that you were attending a very important meeting."

I grabbed Mike's shoulders and shook him hard "thank you brother from another mother, and father"

mike pushed away my hands "yes, yes alright, now you need to think about how you are gonna explain a meeting which lasted more than six hours."

I shrugged "I will think of something on the spot."

when we reached the first floor, I saw Caitlin talking about something at the reception. she seemed pissed. I walked up to her and then hugged her from behind, there were many people leaving the building but none of them reacted since most workers don't know what the person they work for even looks like. when the receptionist saw me hugging Caitlin, she stopped speaking whatever she was and just stared at me in awe. Caitlin turned to look at me and then retaliated in a tiny voice "let go, this is too much PDA for me." I let go of her after seeing her blush cutely.

"So what's going on?" I said as I looked at her and then at the receptionist.

Caitlin shook her head and said it was just a misunderstanding so I turned to the receptionist for an explanation.
