2 Three conditions

Aryaman was not happy when his parents told to meet a girl named Mohini. He was well aware of the reason why they wanted him to meet her - marriage. Of course! What else could be the reason that his parents called him early in the morning saying just go meet her once. 'We are sure you would like her' said his parents.

They had always tried to set him up with any random girl that their relatives, who considered matchmaking their sole reason to take birth on earth, suggested them. He never understood why they we so desperate to get him married.

He protested but this time they won, so unwilling he agreed to go.

On his way to the cafe he thought-

Don't you dare think that I will marry her. No way. If I can not say no to my parents that doesn't mean that the girl cannot reject me.

He thought of ways to get rejected.

Plan no.1- if the girl comes even one minute late then he will shout at her. She certainly would run away. Plan no.2- He won't speak much and will ignore her questions until she gets pissed off. Plan no.3- if he speak then he would try to sound rude. Mind you he was totally against body shaming and was a man abiding his prinicples so he would never desperately hurt someone's feelings but he had to make her angry somehow so that she would deny to marry him.

Little did he know how tables would turn once he reached there. All his planning would end up in a drain because fate had planned something else for him.

He reached the cafe at 3:50. "How can I help you sir." Asked the attendent. "I have a reservation. Table no. 9". " Sir come along with me."

He wasn't expecting her to be there on time but when he entered the cafe, he saw a girl immersed in her novel.

Her boyishly cut, black hair fell onto her brow haphazardly. Her large brown eyes behind round wire-rimmed glasses were dreamy. Her expressions while reading were more than enough to make her look fascinating.

But something was strange about her. As long as he remembered, he had never seen her before yet she seemed utterly familiar. It felt like the piece of his heart that was long gone missing seemed to have come back to its former place.

"Thanks mom, dad. If not for you I would have lost this treasure. She had me falling for her in at the first sight itself." Muttered Aryaman to himself. He even cursed himself for being such a potatohead to make all those plans.

He had decided that he would do everything and anything to make her his. Now, don't you get him wrong. He won't do any such thing like kidnapping her or blackmailing her the way those mafia people do in most of the books. Ohh, how he wished that it would be so simple to capture her heart.

He just wanted to stand there and continously stare at her but suddenly her phone rang and she was dragged back into the real world.

She answered the call. Whatever the person on the other end said made her blood boil. Anger was clearly visible on her face. But she looked adorable with puffed cheeks, saucers like wide eyes and lips truned into a thin line.

Oh my my, what the hell is happening to me? Said his subconsciousness.

Finally she hung up and looked around. Probably she was looking for him. Her brown eyes met his green ones. He smiled but she did not respond. She seemed confused. Maybe, she did not recognise him.

"I guess you were waiting for me", Aryaman said as he walked towards her.

She stood up with expressions laced with confusion.

"Umm... Mr. Nanda?" She asked.

"No need to be formal. Aryaman is fine" he said while extending his hand towards her. She took it. Her small hands felt delicate but her grip was firm. Seems like a beautiful yet strong lady.

"Have a seat." She gestured towards the seat in front of her.

After they both settled down she started speaking- "Before we decide anything I have something to say."

Was she going to turn him down? Did she love someone else? Please God, that shouldn't be the case.

His chain of thoughts was broken by a waiter who came to ask for their order.

" umm... hot chocolate is fine." She said. He too asked for the same and he left.

"You were saying something."

"If you want to marry me, you have to accept my three conditions." She said boldly.

"May I know those conditions?" He asked. Since she did not say anything about loving someone else, he was relieved. He could accept no matter how many conditions.

"First, I won't change my surname after marriage."

"Accepted. Next" he replied without even thinking.

"You should always trust me. Mind you most of my close friends are male. I can't bear it if my husband himself has a doubt on my character." She said. He was impressed by her straightforward nature. He replied- " Indeed trust is the foundation of any relationship. Don't worry, I will trust you forever."

"I am glad to hear that. The last one is that you have to respect me and... m-my work." She said hesitantly. While stating the last part she wasn't looking at him in eyes unlike before. She was trying to say something else then she might have decided to save it for future, I guess.

"Since I have agreed to all three conditions does that mean you are ready to marry me?" He asked.

She spoke after a second, probably thinking thoroughly.

"Since you have accepted them all and you don't look bad either, I have no reason to reject you." Her face adorned a genuine smile.
