What was displayed on the screen was the stats, threat levels, and parameters of the Male Spirit. Looking at made the members show different reactions. There are noticable variables that was on it which made this Spirit be categorized as [Absurd].
After calming herself down Kotori ask with a visible confusion and shock forming on her face.
".....Why was it showing [Spirit] and [Inverse Spirit], that goes the same for the [Angel] and [Demon King], Reine? Are you sure that this isn't an error right?"
She did know about [Spirits] and [Angels] which is the main categorization of their tasks but this is the first time of her being presented of an actual [Inverse Spirit] and [Demon King].
"An [Inverse Spirit] and a [Demon King] is the counterpart of a [Spirit] and it's [Angel]. An Inverse form of a spirit occurs when Spirits are exposed to severe negative emotions. In this transformation, they undergo a radical change in appearance and emotions, their Reiryoku energy readings to go straight down into negative parameters at high levels, and gain an armament called a Demon King in the place of their Angel" Reine calmly explained.
Kotori knew of this since she has been taught of this when she became the commander of <Fraxinus>. And for what she knew, an Inverse Spirit is something that they should avoid or guarded up against.
Why? Because Inverse Spirits tend to cause havoc and destruction at their wake. Spirits have another form which is called the Inverse Form, which they enter when exposed to severe negative emotions. While in this form, their appearance becomes much darker and their behavior becomes much more violent. Their powers while in this form remain the same except their Angels are replaced with Demon Kings and the source of their powers are not their Sephira Crystal but their Qlipha Crystal.
The primary armament of a Spirit while in their Inverse Form. They are described to be the opposites, or darker versions, of their angels. They also appear to have the same abilities as their Angels just darker in color and nature.
"That shows that this Spirit had undergone through something extremely terrible that it resulted him to go Inverse," Reine calmly explained to Kotori who was showing a slight frown about the information she received.
"Then, does it mean that he should be just a [Inverse Spirit]? The data showed here is that he has the state of both a normal [Spirit] and an [Inverse] one at the same time. Is this an error perhaps?" Kotori asked in a dubious manner.
"No it isn't. This Spirit somehow was both showing spirit fluctuations of those of a Normal Spirit and an Inverse one at the same time. It could be seen that he is using his [Angel] and [Demon King] subconsciously all this time"
"Using both...?"
"To be precise, his sword that was shown just recently was his [Angel] and those floating blasters was his [Demon King]"
"Huh? I thought that the counterpart also has the same capabilities and traits of the other one. Why is this two showing a different kind of weapon from each other?"
"The weapons are probably split into one another forming something different from one another. That is one of the answers that I could think of."
"?"
Noticing Kotori's expression, Reine further inquired.
"In other words, his situation is that the [Angel] and [Demon King] of his both has a sword and the blasters in it's complete form but was rendered instead by some unknown force to take the form of both an Angel and a Demon King separately at the same time"
"...that should've been impossible, right?"
"Yes. As far as our observations and data towards Spirits in Ratatoskr has, this would've normally been impossible. His Sephira Crystal could be considered as unstable"
Sephira Crystals and could be also called as a "Spirit Crystal" are mysterious, round, orb-like gems that contain Angels. They turn humans into Spirits and serve as the power source of their Spirit Form. How do they know this function?
Because Kotori herself was a human turned into a Spirit after all.
"His <Sephira Crystal> probably is on the verge of being a <Qlipha Crystal> or maybe vice versa. Or maybe we could say that his Crystal is both a mix of <Sephira> and a <Qlipha> Crystal at the same time. A Spirit Hybrid if we may say"
Hearing what Reine was saying, Kotori couldn't help but ask once again. This is the first time they are encountering this type of Spirit after all.
"... seriously?"
Reine nodded.
Kotori sighed upon seeing her best friend's response and decided to question this matter later.
A hybrid, or so Reine called the Spirit is something that is filled with mysteries and possibilities that may either help them or antagonize them in their future operations.
But there was another thing that they needed to discuss.
"Reine, about his parameters, this is absurdly high for a normal Spirit to have. There were also parts that were labeled as <???> which means unknown. Tell me Reine, is there any Spirit who had this kind of status and parameters within this past 30 years?"
"As far as the records go, the Spirit who probably had absurdly high stats and parameters was the First Spirit, <Deus>. She could be considered as the strongest spirit that ever existed. Other than her, this Spirit could be considered the second strongest among all of the Spirits that we knew"
"As I thought... Do you think he would enter into negotiations or talks?"
Kotori pondered in her mind and voiced it out. How couldn't she? She would've believed that this Spirit was an Inverse if it started to cause chaos all over the place. Inverse Spirits tends to have a violent and incomprehensible nature to cause destruction all over the place.
But on contrary, this Spirit has a rationalized behavior. Up to the point where it acts literally like a 'human'. To back this up, they also have some photos and clips about this Spirit roaming and blending with the people in the city.
"I don't know for sure but I think he would" Reine answered as she slightly caressed the teddy bear hanging on the pocket of her uniform.
"Is it really possible though? We are talking about a Hybrid here, an unknown variable. On top of that, this Spirit is also classified as an Inverse Spirit based on your analysis and observations"
The one who spoke up was Kannazuki who was looking at the other monitor which displays what the Spirit is doing. His eyes and tone were filled with seriousness unlike the jolly and carefree antics that he shows frequently.
"...this is just a feeling. Call it a woman's instinct if I may say" Reine said blankly as she also stared to the monitor Kannazuki was looking at as well.
"You know this could result to many peoples death if you don't take this seriously"
Hearing Reine's response, Kannazuki broke of his gaze on the monitor and then looked at her with a stern gaze.
"I'm just joking, don't take it seriously. About what you said on how I could prove that the Spirit would be capable of conversing with us, any more information would be discussed in a formal meeting later"
"Mm. Understood"
"You two.... don't act as if a fight is going to happen, geez"
"Yes~ commander is so cute whe—gufaah!"
"Don't play with me like that you idiot!"
Kotori stood up and kicked Kannazuki on the guts. This however brought him pleasure rather than pain...
"Ugh, yes yes~ Gah!"
"This idiot—"
Before Kotori could finish her words, she was interrupted by a sudden call.
"Commander, Reiryoku activity has skyrocketed in an instant on Spirit X! At this rate, an space quake would soon occur!"
"Threat Level and destruction range analyzing... what?! The space quake is larger than before and by its size, it would devour everything within total of 100 meters in height and length round it! No, it's even getting larger!"
"Evacuation procedures should be set in motion in the nearby areas. The space quake alarm has been triggered as well!"
Noticing the sudden change, the demeanor of Kannazuki instantly turned serious and stood up as he wiped the dust on his clothes.
"Kotori, it seems that this Spirit is trying to make something. Is he perhaps trying to summon his [Angel] or [Demon King] in its true form?"
"Reine, what do you mean by that?"
"As you may have observed, did you notice that he has an incomplete [Astral Dress]? Also, we did not ever hear him once call the name of his [Angel] or [Demon King] during his battles. We could either say that he doesn't know what his [Angel] or [Demon King] is or either it was still sealed and waiting or waiting to be awakened"
"Ah, mouu! I don't care what the hell he is doing but if it leads to one mass destruction, we won't hesitate to take him down"
"But you will still try with the best of your abilities to save him if possible, right?"
"Yeah, it is our job after all!" Kotori said with a proud and fierce smile etched on her beautiful face.
