7 Chapter seven: Can I Ask You For a Favor?

How Embarrassing. Zhi looked at him, trying her best not to show any emotion. Can he just stop smiling at me, already? It's a distraction. "That letter was given to a young boy named, Tadashi Gao. My hero. Who do you think you are answering HIS letter!" Zhi spat out. This was really all she ever wanted but now she knew she couldn't have it. Tadashi was exactly the type of person she vowed to take down in life. She couldn't in good conscience entertain any type of relationship with a thug.

This answer surprised Tadashi.

But that's who I am.

Hadn't she already recognize him earlier?

"I'm still that boy Zhi Ruo," I promise.

"You killed people," Zhi said with fear in her voice.

"You have seen me do it before," Tadashi said honestly and sounding a little hurt.

Zhi thought about it. "But, you did that to save me."

"And this time, I did it to save myself. Those men came to MY house. They planned to kill me and my friends. They would have killed you to Zhi."

When he put it like the that, Zhi felt sort of silly.

Was she over thinking it?

She didn't treat Howin any differently, and she had actually watched her kill three people in front of her.

How could she look down on him now and give up on her hero so quickly?

Zhi quickly took the vanilla ice cream cone from him and put on her biggest and brightest smile.

Ok. If it's like this, then I'll do by best to trust him this one time, Zhi told herself, at least ontil she got to her laptop to find out just who Tadashi turned out to be after all those years.

It's not like he's the only one that has killed someone in front of me.

"Thank you for the ice cream. I really am, but I'm going to have to kindly pass and tell you no. Under the circumstances. I just think we shouldn't." Zhi said as she gave him an innocent look, "It's just that it was so long ago I wouldn't want you to feel obligated to accept." she quickly added after watching his smile vanish.

Ha, take that Tadashi. You think you can come to sweep this girl off her feet just like that. Not this girl.After what I saw you do, you would have to work extra hard for it, Zhi Ruo thought to herself.

Tadashi's heart plummeted to the ground. So this is what it feels like to be rejected. The rejection was like a hard punch to the face.

All those poor girls.

He suddenly felt guilty for how he had been turning women down in the past few years.

A certain few incidents popped into mind.

Tadashi was stunned. Did he just feel actual guilt? Tadashi Gao had actually just felt guilt?

He looked at Zhi like he had found a treasure. The most powerful and most precious treasure in the world.

Is Zhi the key to me becoming an actual normal person again?

Suddenly Tadashi had a sneaky idea and a mischievous smile spread on his face. She might have said no today but he was going to change that. "Ok then, I have a favor to ask you. Is that ok?"

Zhi sighed with relief.

He took that so well that she happily accepted before even hearing the question. "Yeah sure. Sure. No problem. Whatever it is, I'll help.

"Really?" Tadashi looked over with amazement in his eyes. That went better than he had expected.

"Yeah, if there is something I can help you with then the answer is, yes. After all, you did save my life twice now." And I saw dead bodies in your house, I don't think I have the nerve to turn you down twice today.

"Perfect!" You better remember your words, Zhi Ruo. Tadashi gave Zhi a sweet smile and turned to leave. "I'll be back soon."

"What." Zhi was confused. Her eyebrow twitched. Why do I feel like I just got tricked? But holy cow did he say yes to my confession letter?

She shut her door quickly. Safe behind the cover of her house, she let out an excited "YESSSSSS!!." The little girl in her beamed with joy. She shouted on the top her lungs and danced all around the house. "He said yes! He said yes!"

Back at Tadashi's house, he was busy ordering people around like a mad man.

"Pack my bags, I'll be staying at a different location for a while. I want all the necessary things handled within the next fifteen minutes."

"I want three men following my father at all times and one following the scumbag assistant of his too."

"Call my contractors. Have them start on fixing my house... Scratch that calls them in 3 days."

The bodies were already cleared up, thanks to Xiaobo and Minzhe. So that was good. There were just a few things to adjust but Tadashi went to find Xiaobo and Minzhe first. They were now back in the kitchen eating sandwiches that they clearly just made.

Xiaobo or Bobo was the shorter of the two. He always found ways to make up for his lack of height though. Right now he had his feet up on the table boasting loudly about how he killed more men than Minzhe.

Minzhe or Mr. Min was the taller one. He loved nice things and flaunted it. Which in his line of work is considered unusual. Normally assassins tend to dress rather bland as they mean to blend in. Minzhe though was a metrosexual and a narcissist at that. Mr. Min had his sleeves rolled up as to make sure not to get dirty while eating and at the moment was shooting daggers at Bobo from his eyes.

At that point, Howin had already made her way to the bosses side. She looked at the two men opposite her with disgust. "Do you guys ever take anything seriously"

Actually, now that you mention it," Bobo said looking angrily at her, "We take it seriously that our teammate was keeping a secret from us."

"That's right," Mr. Min chimed in, " Explain yourself a trader."

Howin beamed with pride. "You're just jealous."

"Alright, listen up guys. Tadashi quickly regained order.

Bobo took his feet off the table and got serious. Mr. Min and Howin both quieted down and gave Tadashi their undivided attention.

Over the next thirty minutes, they sat and had an important meeting discussing the next week.

An hour later Tadashi was sitting on Zhi's couch looking as charming as ever.

"Um. Your back so soon?" Zhi had a surprised look on her face. "And I see you brought luggage?" Her eyes were locked on two large suitcases by Tadashi's feet.

"Yes. Well, as you're already aware, my house is currently under construction all of a sudden. That's why I was pleasantly surprised when you said you would help me out." Tadashi said giving her a big cheezy grin.

"What now? I said what nonsense?" Zhi thought back to their conversation.

**"Yeah, if there is something I can help you with then the answer is, yes. After all, you did save my life twice now."** "Crap! I did say yes, didn't I."

While Zhi was beating herself up Inside Tadashi looked around. The inside of her house was different than he expected. Her house was designed nicely but there was nothing luxurious about it. Tadashi was only surprised considering her rich background. He knew for a fact her family was rich considering his 1st million was handed to him personally by her father.
