25 Chapter 25: Could This Work?

Zhi was mortified. What would Fang Mi do to her if she were to find out that she had a manager, would Fang Mi misunderstand and think her father set this up?

Fang mi was now a top actress in her stepfather's company. If CEO Ruo started to support his real daughter who knew where that would leave Fang? Fang Mi had already made it very clear Zhi could have nothing to do with her dad's company. Fang even committed murder just to make her point.

This was all just becoming such a big mess. Zhi was just trying to earn some extra cash for her real job. How did any of this happen? I'm not really even an actor. I'm a game developer, a coder, a hacker not an actress.

Zhi Ruo was lost in her thoughts. I already told Tadashi I was an actor so if I turn Howin down right now he will no I was lying. He can't no the real me. What hero would save a girl like me? I'm just a hacker for hire and an amateur game developer.

There were times that the jobs Zhi took were illegal. Zhi Ruo had offended people that would kill just to find out who she was. Tadashi could never understand any of this. There were even times where Zhi was flat broke and raced cars for extra cash and occasionally when things got really rough she would take small acting roles.

Zhi couldn't help but feel ashamed. "Tadashi cant know how beneath him I truly am."

Zhi shook her head. He can't find out. I won't let him. Not yet.

Why couldn't we have met again in a year from now? Just one more year and I would have put enough money away for my own company and he could have met me as a wealthy and powerful woman. Then nothing from my past would even matter anymore.

Zhi's mind shifted back to Fang Mi. I wouldn't even have to be scraping up money if it wasn't for that poisonous snake. She and her mother are wrapped around my father so tight he can't even breathe.

I have to expose that little she-devil. I need to rip out that mother and daughter duo root and stem.

Zhi looked at Howin. She seemed very determined to fulfill her promise to make her famous. This could actually work out. It would solve all of my problems at once. Tadashi won't know how pathetic I am and I'll make enough money to start my company. It was almost perfect, she could then use the company to save her father and win over the love of her life... if it all worked out.

I just have to lie for and pretend for a year.

Zhi put a smile on her face. "Let's make me famous."

Howin was ecstatic. Her usual wicked smile appeared. "Ok, First things first. Let's get out of here."

Zhi was suddenly lost. "What do you mean?" Zhi wanted to cry, please just let me die on this bed. Her ribs and chest were killing her. She didn't want to disappoint the overly enthusiastic Howin but this acting thing was going to have to wait.

"Don't worry about it, everything has been all planned out."Howin stood up and started to sloppily throw her belonging from her bed into her tote bag.

"You really didn't have to do anything Howin."

"I didn't, Tadashi did."Howin cupped her hands together and her eyes twinkled. "Awe, young love budding!"

Zhi's face went bright tomato red. "Who said anything about love?"

Howin laughed.

The hospital door opened and Tadashi stormed it. His eyes immediately fell on Zhi. "You're awake! Your face is very red. Are you feeling ok? Howin is she ok?"

"Yes boss, she is perfectly fine. Is it time already?"

Tadashi's worry from the last few days had clearly done work on his face. Zhi wanted to hold him until the stains of worry disappeared completely. But it was Tadashi that picked her up instead. He gently held her in his strong arms and placed her in a wheelchair just outside of the room. The entire time Zhi didn't feet any pain. Tadashi had actually placed a heating pad on her chest which was helping. Zhi was disappointed. Why couldn't he just hold me a little bit longer?

Tadashi rolled the confused Zhi to the roof of the hospital where a private helicopter was waiting. "What is going on?"

Of course, Tadashi couldn't hear her over the helicopter and instead, he wheeled her over and lifted into the chopper. Tadashi took his time buckling Zhi in and placing earmuffs on her. His hands occasionally lingering on her smooth porcelain-like skin. Those simple gestures were enough to send chills down Zhi's spine.

Howin looked at her boss with disbelief. "I guess the boss Really does have feelings." she suddenly felt embarrassed staring at the 2 of them.
