24 Chapter 24: Howin Is My What?

Two days later Zhi slowly woke up to a loud woman yelling. "No, I told you I wanted all reporters gone. If you won't grant me this little request then I will do it myself." Zhi could hear a high pitched man squeal and let out a cry, "Nooo..."

The angry woman stormed out of the Room. Zhi opened her eyes to see she was in the same hospital room as before. The room was large and very comfortable. To comfortable. "How am I going to pay for this?" Zhi tried to pull herself up, a sharp put instant tears in her eyes. The pain forced her to fall back down hard. Her chest and ribs felt completely broken. With a deep breath, she found it extremely hard, almost impossible to breathe. Every breath was like being kicked all over again. "Why did Shi do this?"

Zhi Ruo's mind tried to sort everything out. She had definitely been kidnapped by Shi Cho. She had definitely heard her admit that someone had hired her to kill her. "Who did I offend?"

Could my stepsister finally be making her move? That doesn't make sense. Fang Mi had just done the most unimaginable thing possible just to blackmail me. Why would she go to the trouble to murder someone in front of me to just hire someone a couple days later to kill me and not do it herself? That just doesn't make sense? And Tadashi. Why was he there? He and his friends definitely saved me that night. Zhi scanned the room, could he be here? Her eyes fell to the floor. There's definitely somebody sleeping there. But it seemed to be a woman sleeping here. There was a pull out bed set up with pink feminine sheets and pillowcase. There were a tote bag and suitcase, both sloppily thrown about on the bed, its contents spilling out everywhere.

Zhi Ruo didn't have to wait long for an explanation. Howin came strolling in the room with a candy in her mouth and a frustrated look on her face. "Those morons. A sick girl needs rest." Howin's eyes met the wide sleepy eyes of Zhi Ruo.

"You're awake? We have so much to discuss!" Howin seemed different today. Zhi couldn't quite place the difference but she seemed more carefree, almost happy. Confusing considering how and was previously cursing someone a second ago on the phone. Howin jumped to the side of Zhi's bed and squeezed her hand. "How do you feel love?"

"Honestly, I just feel really sore. That's all."Zhi announced like she was answering a truly worried friend.

"Well, you did get your chest kicked in pretty hard. But your handling everything so well, it's honestly impressive "

Zhi suddenly didn't want to disappoint this woman. "No need to worry! But Howin are you staying here? That's too much. You should go home and get some good sleep."

Howin gave a sad face."Are you trying to get rid of me?"

"No.No. It's not like that. I swear!"

"Good because I'm your new manager as of two days ago. You're going to be seeing a lot more of me."

"What happened now?" Zhi was confused. Howin's my what?

"Don't be daft darling. I said I'm your new manager." Howins gorgeous face hardened with determination, "I'm going to make you famous!"

Zhi was so taken aback she almost didn't believe what she was hearing. "You're a manager?"

"Not just anyone's manager. I am your manager Zhi Ruo!" The girl in front of Zhi was clearly very proud of herself.
