7 Sudden Proposal

A week have passed.

"Madam Wayne, this is the report from the last week and information about Ms. Luna Robert." Her private secretary put the black leather file on her desk before he went out of the office oom, leaving Victoria alone in the spacious room.

Once the secretary went out, she strides to the desk and picks up the file. There's also a few photos of Luna Robert on her desk. Flipping the document one by one, she finally satisfied with her own choice.

She then looks at the photo's taken by his men, there's a bunch of the photos shows where she's been this past week. All of them look normal, her background check also clean and her grade was not bad too.

"Hmm..maybe it was fated when two different people from two different world met in this small town," she speaks softly and took her phone on the table. Dialing James to inform him.

On a sunny day on the weekends,

Luna finally got her day off. She wants to lazy around for the whole day. After having breakfast, she helps her grandmother with the gardening at their lawn.

They had a bunch of plant at the front lawn. It's all her grandmother obsession toward the flower. She is so into the roses and lilies. After helping out her grandmother, she helps her mom with the laundry before she went upstairs and take a bath. The sweaty smell mixed with the grass smell makes her a bit dizzy.

After taking a bath, she went to her bedroom and turn on her computer. Its been days since last she open it. She just wants to download a few movies and watch it later at night.

While she's been locking up in her bedroom, her house was visited by the guest downstairs.

"Hi, please come in." Stella inviting the guest to come inside her house. She looks at her husband, Adam, who also had no idea who is the old lady that visiting them today.

"I'm sorry for suddenly coming here. Are you both Luna's parent?" Victoria starts once she sat down on the sofa in the living hall. She still surrounded by her calm and elegant aura around her.

"Um, yes we are," Stella answered and look at her husband after that.

"Did our daughter troubling you, ma'am? I am very sorry if-"

"No no, it not like that," Victoria interject her, she thought that Luna's parents must be thinking she comes here wants to make a complaint or something like that.

Stella sigh in relief, at least she knows now that Luna did not create trouble with this old lady.

After sipping the tea that Stella poured on the cup and they sit down on the sofa at the living hall, Victoria looks at them with a calm, business face.

"Actually, I came here with an intent to make your daughter as my granddaughter-in-law." She straight to the point.

"Pft! What?" Stella almost chocked with the tea she sips before she looked at the old lady with a shocked face. Not only her, but her husband also looks surprised by the sudden proposal.

"I admire your daughter's politeness and gentleness. Her act has piqued my interest. I have a grandson who I believe will love your daughter with his life. Thus, I am here to propose a marriage between your daughter and my grandson."

"I..um, did Luna knows your grandson?" Stella scrunch her eyebrow a bit. She never heard Luna mention any guys name before. And…she always thought that her daughter doesn't have an interest in any guy too.

"She had once met him a couple of days before." Victoria reply.

"Um...I see. But, are they both in love? I mean, to marry someone, they at least need to be in love, right?"

"Of course, but love also can be formed once they married. Like our old folks' tradition, right ma'am?" Victoria averts her eyes to the old lady around her ages who she assumed is Luna's grandmother.

"Yes. It's true. I married my husband when I was young. We don't know each other too, but then we still lead our happy life." Deborah said while grinning happily when she remembers her old days with her husband.

Meanwhile, Stella and Adam look at each other with a bit creased on their forehead. They totally feel it sound illogical. Their daughter was just 18 years old this year and for the next few more months, their daughter will go through commencement day and lead a college life after that.

Looking at both of the parents, she knew they must be not willing to let her daughter go just like that. Victoria then took out two files contains the information about them and the deal which she would offer them. One I for the parent and another one is for their daughter.

"I understand, as parents, this must be difficult for both of you. But I am a persistent person. I'm assuring you, that this offer wouldn't let your daughter in pain or in danger near the future."

Took the file from her hand, Adam put it aside and nod his head. "Will you give us time to think about this, ma'am?"

"Of course, but my time is limited. The offer is only valid until next Friday. I hope I could hear your answer in as soon as possible?" she raises her eyebrow a bit.

"Sure." Adam reply in polite.

The chat continues again but with a different subject this time. Victoria spends around one hour before she finally went back to the mansion. In between one hour, Luna was sound asleep in her room not knowing what happens downstairs.

Luna wakes up when it almost dusk.

Growl~

"Uhm...I must be hungry for skipping my meals." She rubs her stomach and looks at the clock hanging on the wall.

Slowly, she sits up and closes her window's curtain. She checks on her computer's screen before she smiles when she saw that the movie she downloaded before was done.

"Yosh..time to get something to eat." She stretches up for a bit before she went downstairs.

"Mom…I'm hungry." She said lazily and walk down to the dining hall, searching for her mother.

Flinch a bit, she turns to look at her daughter. She immediately covers the dark cloud on her face and replaces it with a happy face.

"Oh, you're up."

"Mm..I'm hungry. What's for dinner?"
