2 Chapter 2: The Beginning

After reading more of the book Scott seemed to understand what was happening. He quickly opened a notebook and started taking notes about what he understood from the book.

Michael Matthew was a god before he decided to settle on Solazar. His original name was Solazar. He was the God of Life. The book had many adventures of him saving humans from disasters. He appointed 9 people to have one of his powers to keep the sacred universe in line.

Scott was surprised that his father was a real god and he suddenly felt the responsibilities it would carry when he gets the powers. But his idiotic childish brain said otherwise. He was then thinking, what were the cool powers in the DNA?

Meanwhile,

After the funeral ended Jeff went back to his apartment and he checked his e-mails. His job application was declined again. He almost smashed his computer as he got angrier.

"If the next application fails then I will have to join the fucking military. God fucking da-"

Another e-mail comes in as he speaks. He immediately rushes to check the e-mail. It was his job application that was declined for the last time. He smashes his laptop and goes to sleep angrily waiting for the next day to come.

The Next Day,

Jeff wakes up tired and pissed. Meanwhile, Scott wakes up excited to meet up with his brother as he wants to show the book. Jeff was contemplating life and if it at all matters anyway. As he was contemplating his unfair life he took out all the plates from the cupboard and started smashing them while reciting.

"I lost my mom smash, recently my dad smash, Can't find a job smash, having the worst life ever"

Jeff suddenly got an idea.

Scott while safely keeping the book and the DNA in a small backpack got dressed and ready to visit Jeff. He pulled out of his garage and headed straight for Jeff's house. At the same time, Jeff went up to the rooftop of his apartment and sat on the edge rethinking his decisions. As he was sitting there making up his mind on whether life is worth living, he saw Scott's car pull up into the apartment. He stood up quickly but did not jump. He was waiting.

Scott gets out of his car and tries calling Jeff on his phone, but Jeff doesn't pick up. From being excited, Scott starts to worry. He rushes up to the elevator that conveniently reaches the ground floor. He goes up as he holds the book in one hand. As Scott reached his brother's room he saw that his brother's flat was left open and everything was a big mess. He saw a note lying there, it read:

"To whoever is reading this letter. I am sorry for all the bad choices I made for you, mom, dad, and Scott. Today I am going to reach my parents as I have found out that my life is worthless and there is nothing to live for. I apologize for my misbehavior in the past. I hope to be a better person if reincarnation exists.

Deeply Thankful For Everything,

Jeff Matthew"

While Scott was reading the letter, Jeff sat down and thought about how his death will affect others. How will people see him after he dies? How will people react?

Scott ran upstairs and saw his brother standing on the edge looking at him with fearful eyes."Jeff! Stop!" Shouted Scott. Jeff started shouting:

"There is nothing left in this world for me, Scott. I guess God never actually planned my life..."

While Jeff was going about how his life has changed and is not worth living, Scott slowly starts walking towards Jeff. He quickly grabs and gets a hold of him. He brings him down to a safer place and explains to him, "Jeff, I know it's been hard for you ever since you moved out. I could see that you were struggling financially and I also wanted to help, but I was so busy I couldn't help you. I'm sorry. I wasn't a good brother. Added that you are the only person left in my life after mom and so- I mean dad died" Said Scott to Jeff as he calmed down.

They both started walking back downstairs, that's when Jeff said, "I'm sorry, Scott-" as soon as Jeff said this he stopped walking, pushed Scott, turned back, and jumped from the building. Scott quickly tried running towards but he couldn't catch up, Jeff was too far ahead. As a last-minute ditch, Scott opened the DNA tube and injected himself.

Jeff reached the roof and kept running forward until he didn't feel the floor below him. He kept falling and falling. Suddenly, Jeff feels a sudden thud. He opens his eyes, just to be in shock to see his brother who caught him right before he fell on the floor.
