The Giant Minotaur

As we walk through the large lively forest, I start to talk with Marianne. "So why did you want to go adventuring with us if you know how dangerous it is even if you want to sightsee?" I ask.

"My two mothers who are retired huntresses. Picked me up from a dungeon I was all alone and abandoned I don't know how to explain, it but I want to know the area that I would be in if I wasn't picked up and this seems like the closest to that." Marianne explains.

"Trust me, you don't want to live in a dungeon. The only ones you may be able to live in are the rare event dungeons as they don't run out of food when they appear, but most dungeons are too dangerous to live in." Travis replied.

"True, I do miss the taste of pizza and my morning coffee. However, I'm still curious if it'll be better than Earth, as I always get bullied for my family and race." She remarks.

"Once you get back home, tell your mothers about becoming a huntress. If you still want to live in the dungeon after exploring and becoming a huntress, that's okay. Just don't let it tempt you too soon. Especially a dungeon like this abnormal dungeons have a sixty percent mortality rate." Travis explains as we continue our search for hours seeing beautiful scenery.

"Let's head back for the day. There's not going to be any activity tonight." Travis says, and so we head back to the encampment. We meet up with our groups.

"There won't be any activity today. We'll have to wait for something to happen, I guess, so we can leave." Travis says I wave to Julian, signaling her to talk to me in private, and so we step out for a minute.

"Out of curiosity, what will happen when they see I'm a Nephalem? I know I'm supposed to hide it from the guild members, yet the guild master still sent me on this mission." I ask Julian curious.

"I've already let their leader, Jason, know he was very understanding as long as you're helpful with this dungeon. I doubt they'll think poorly of you and he'll tell them to keep it a secret." Julian responds.

"I see I'll use my abilities only when I have to." I tell Julian as we head back in and have dinner.

(All they serve here is vegetables and fruit. I've also had a headache since I regenerated my arm. How long will this last?) I think to myself before i head to bed. "Nux! Nux! Wake up, we got to get outta here!" Julian yells as smoke fills the room.

We all run out the door. The entire forest is ingulfed in flames. Dead elves littered the surrounding homes. A small exception of elven warriors fighting in the distance.

We climb down the ladder as Julian, Frank and Jason jump down. (damn there strong.) Once we touch the ground, we see a group of cultist wearing red cloaks speaking an unknown language.

"My guess is these guys caused the fire and are the reason this dungeon is abnormal. We need to eliminate them. Marianne, you need to go hide." Julian says, and marianne runs away to find cover as a giant javelin pierces through Crux's chest.

"Crux!" Jason yells as a ginormous abnormal minotaur with four arms and spikes on its back appears. Wielding a mace, two swords, and a war axe. I, Travis, Piro, and Trex focus on the cultists that are spreading wild fire. My claws are exposed, and they shoot fireballs at me. However, they unexpectingly don't burn me. I slash and kill some cultists as Frank, Jason, Julian, and Dylan fight the minotaur.

While fighting the cultist, I saw Dylan's head being decapitated, Jason being thrown, and Frank taking a heavy blow from a war axe.

I rush to help but on the way the minotaur grabs Julian by the neck and stabs her stomach with the sword. I jump, grabbing the minotaur arm, gripping it tight, my claws digging deep into its flesh.

It screams in agony as it drops Julian and swings its mace at my side. I start to cough up blood from the blow I just took to my ribs. (That definitely broke something.)

I hold my side as I swing my claw at the minotaur, cutting one of its arms to the point it can't wield a weapon anymore. (One arm down, three to go. I can't keep using weak attacks like this or everyone will die.)

"Nux duck!" Trex yells while casting spells."Fireball! Icicle spear!" A large fireball and spears made of ice hit the minotaur as Piro runs over to heal Jason and Frank.

"Don't worry about the cultist. There's only a few left and Travis is taking care of them. You two focus on killing that minotaur!" Piro yells towards me, and Trex.

"You got it Piro! Wetlands!" Trex shouts the ground around the minotaur, turns to mud, and he starts to sink in. (Alright you know how to use magic now focus on the pain nux focus!)

"Mind surge!!" I yell, the minotaur, grab his head, and screams in misery. (Argh my headache is getting worse.)

"Solidify!" Trex says turning the mud around the minotaur back into dirt, entraping him. The minotaur grunts while being infuriated.

"Eruption of darkness!" I enchant and giant spikes made of blacken metal pierce the minotaur. He starts to breath heavily (damn he's still alive) I think to myself while panting.

"This better be it. Acidic barrage!" Trex shouts as balls of acid beam towards and melts the minotaurs flesh. As the minotaur takes its last breath, I look around.  (There's piro he's still healing Frank? Wait where's Julian??) I look around frantically.

I see her laying up against a chard tree, blood oozing out of her stomach. I run towards her. "Why hasn't piro come over yet to heal you?" I ask while putting pressure on her wounds.

"Frank and Jason were also very hurt. Their wounds also need a lot of attention. We should've looked into getting another healer." Julian says before passing out.

"Hey, you can't die here. What about meeting up with your childhood hero!?" I ask while tears run down my face. A tear drop falls onto her wound magically, healing her cut stomach.

"What happened?" I ask while piro and the others rush over. They look relieved and then take a glance at me.

"It's about time some of your angelic abilities showed. Your right eye is now golden as mine are. She'll be fine with just a bit of rest. Sadly, Travis is the only member of Jason's squad that has made it out of this whole ordeal alive." Piro says while looking down.

We saw the portal open back up. Sadly, there's no way we can carry Frank, Jason, Julian, and our fallen comrades' corpses back, so we'll have to just take their bages." Piro says as we find Marianne hiding and carry the rest of the team back through the portal.
