3 Part 3- Explanation

Iris looked at Aster with confusion in his eyes. Iris murmured, "I love you, but I do not want to marry you." Iris looked at the floor full of shame. Her eyes full of sympathy.

"Would you care to explain, my love?" Aster looked up to find the moon's glow on his confused face.

"I fear, that if I were to explain why I cannot marry you... I would be in danger of your sorrow and rage," Iris declared.

"Tell me anyways!" Aster yelled, his voice was as loud as a barking dog.

With a sigh Iris explained, "Aster, you are like the brother I never had. In addition to that I'm in love with another man."

After a long pause in their conversation, hurriedly, she blurted, "Aster I'm sorry! But I thought it would be fun to toy with your emotions...but I never really thought you would actually fall in love with me. And I thought you wouldn't mind since you're the god of the underworld"

"Wouldn't mind!" Aster growled. "You thought I wouldn't mind!? I may be the god of the underworld but I have feelings too you know!" Aster spit in Iris's face with disgust.

As tears dripped from her eyes, she muttered "I'm so sorry!"
