7 The real story begins

The next day has arrived and it's time for all students to get back to their classes. The second they came in the class there was a heavy and dark atmosphere. As all students sat down at their seats it felt like the tensity of the class was gripping them with abnormal strength. The teacher sat up from his seat standing in front of the students with a grin on his face. He looked, staring at the students with a larger grin and said:

"I gave you all two days to get used to the school, but now I think we need to start getting serious now. My name, which you all have been asking for, is Maxwell. Now, you can finally stop calling me 'teacher' and start calling me by a more dignified name, such as Professor Maxwell".

The atmosphere got heavier and heavier as the seconds passed. Peter turned to Seth with a worried and surprised look on his face. Peter then noticed something about Seth. He looked more lively, he looked like he was ready to have fun. It was odd to peter because that was the only time he saw Seth grinning, with this kind of emotion. Peter froze. He saw how much Seth has changed after the teacher said this. Suddenly he shook his head, he realized that he should snap Seth out of it. Peter got up from his seat walking over to Seth, but before he could try and talk to him, Clementine slapped Seth right across his face.

"Hey, you need to snap out of it. All of the other students are freaking out. It's like you and the Teacher's murderous intent is clashing. Calm down control yourself you dirty Katsu".

She walked off annoyed. Seth looked down at his desk with a blank expression. Seth knew she was right, he couldn't control himself when it came to these gruesome thoughts.

"Alright, that's enough! We need to assign you to your teams".

The climate in the room changed and so did the mood. The terrified feeling of the students became slightly more relaxed. One of the kids raised their hand.

"What do you mean by teams Professor Maxwell?"

The professor excitedly clapped his hands together.

"You're going to need teams in order to rank up and fight. Each and every one of you need a team to back you up, or you won't survive".

Everyone was shocked. Survive? Did this school have a chance of death? Were people going to be murdered here? As the students thought more and more, the more questions they felt the need to ask. A girl raised her hand.

"So what you mean is that this school isn't safe? I thought this was the number one best school for-"

She cut herself off. The Professor started to scratch his head.

"The number one school for the smartest students which supplies a good career plan for the best students; plus training, which involves murderous intent, so I figured you'd know that when you entered."

Peter raised his hand for the professor to call on him. Once he does, Peter stood up.

"We were not informed of any of this. Our parents just figured it was a decent school..." Maria looked over to Peter.

"Yeah! I think that's what happened to all of us".

The professor ignored what the students said, and instead smiled.

"That's right, We still have to determine your teams".

Peter's expression changed then he grinded his teeth.

"We don't want to kill! We don't want to do anything like that! Why does this school have such an absurd policy anyway?"

The professor sat back down on his chair.

"If that's what you really feel then you won't survive. What we are doing is protecting you before they are let loose"

The students seemed to be shaken and terrified. Everyone question who was 'they'. The professor had a large smile on his face. He slammed his hand on his desk out of nowhere. Everyone who wasn't paying attention to him, began to pay close attention now.

"If we get first place, each one of you will be rewarded with 500,000 dollars. You'll be expected to do missions, which also give you rewards. The greater the mission, the higher the pay. Now, the rankings are pretty simple. currently all of you are rank D. Once you rank up, pay will gradually become better. each rank determines who you are in this school, so rank up and do well! You don't have to worry about 'Battle and War' for a while because only the seniors get to do that. Every year there will be a War. These Wars are fights against different schools or classes. There are a total of one hundred schools like ours, and currently we've faced 97. This is perfect for you all because you get 3 years to prepare for the final battle, which is a very big deal. Since you students need to know one another as much as you know yourselves, you'll need to be with each other 24/7, which means you will all be living with each other."

Everyone froze as they listened to everything Professor Maxwell had to say. They still didn't quite get it. The girls thought about living with each other situation. The girls stood up gasping.

"What if the guys do bad things with us?!"

The Professor glared at the girls.

"So you'd rather die? And besides, I know everything. If that happens, ill be sure to give them the punishment they deserve."

He smiled evilly. The girls sat back down slightly shaking their heads. Professor Maxwell straightened his posture and yelled out.

"Now we'll need to get you guys in groups! Pick your teammates. you'll need a group of 5 people."

Peter let out a large smile. Everyone got to pick their friends to fight alongside with.

"thank god we get to be with people we're familiar with."

He said. Peter gestured to Maria to meet him at Seth's table. Maria then dragged Neva along with her. Peter, Maria and Neva walked over to Seth's desk in unison. Peter counted,

"1, 2, 3, 4. We need one more."

Peter sighed then started looking around the classroom. He ran to others, asking them to be on his team; but they all told him that they were already in a group. Peter ran back to Seth's desk.

"I'm not sure if there's anyone left."

Peter started to panic a little. Seth looked up to Peter then pointing into a direction. Peter turned to where Seth was pointing then he saw Clementine sitting at her desk alone. Maria's expression started to change very quick then she pulled Seth close to her. Peter turned looking at Seth. Peter, Seth and Never turned over to Maria and she began to talk. Maria nervously said,

"We can't let her join. She and I have bad blood if you don't remember."

Seth nodded and then shrugged. Peter tried talking Maria into letting Clementine join the group.

"Come on Maria. She's the only person that's available. we have no other choice." Maria crosses her arms then looked down slightly.

"Alright, but if she tries anything funny I'll kill her."

Neva nervously giggled. Peter walked over to Clementine. Peter smiled and said:

"Looks like you're the only one that's left. How about you join our group?"

Clementine stood up and thought about it for a moment. She looked back at Peter and said,

"Fine I have no other choice I suppose".

The sets of groups in the classroom are all finally established. Professor Maxwell started to clap his hands.

"Alright class since you all have your groups already we need to set living arrangements! There needs to be a leader for each group, and these leaders will control each mission. Word of advice, the leader needs to be skilled and full of knowledge. Once your team leader is decided, the person needs to come up to me and i'll give them their key to their dorms. Don't worry, your living conditions will be a good size."

Peter turned to his group and smiled.

"Alright so who should be the leader…"

Said Peter. Each of them stated that Peter should be the leader, except Seth. Peter shockling stepped back.

"That's flattering but are you sure? Let's let Seth make a decision as well."

They all turned to Seth. Their eyes were gleaming at him, wondering what he would say.

"So what will it be?"

They asked. Seth shrugged then pointed to Peter. Neva laughed joyfully.

"I think it's decided! now so get the keys to our dorm already!"

All of the leaders went to take their keys then came back to their group. The day went by pretty fast after everything was explained. Class ended and it was time for them to go to the cafeteria to feast. While Seth and his group walked to the cafeteria, they agreed to pack their bags and meet up at the front door of the dorm. The group got their food and sat down at their table. Peter looked up with a jolly expression. Peter was happy to be the leader of something so special to him. He noticed Maria was a bit scared, from what the teacher said, then he grabbed her hand. Maria tried pushing Peter off but it was useless. Clementine even started to giggle a little as everyone joked around and laugh. Seth realized that he has never been around people that had this much fun with him. Peaceful moments went by as they all had a great time. Two older kids began staring at them from across the table, then they began to walk up to Peters group. One of the boys, who was an upperclassman, grabbed a tray of food then threw it all over Clementine's face. Peter, Maria, and Neva suddenly froze. Seth sat there staring right at the upperclassman without saying a word. Seth got angry. Clementine was in shock, but then she looked down at her hands and stood up quickly.

"I'm going to the bathroom."

She said in an annoyed tone. As she went off to go the bathroom, Maria and Neva accompanied her. The upperclassman pointed at Clementine. The two boys laughed as they loudly exclaimed:

"That was hilarious! The girls are so freaking beautiful, it almost made me feel guilty!" The other upperclassman agreed with him. Peter walked over to them in anger.

"You're going to regret that."
