Chapter two

Ava's point of view

Sophie and I arrived at the airport 20minutes before departure time.As Sophie continued talking to the front desk lady I cringed as I saw her taking our suitcases and placing them behind her.I have heard far too many stories of people who lost their suitcases at the airport and only received them days after.I have to many lovely clothes in there and I didn't need them vanishing into thin air.After we bid the desk lady fair well Sophie reminded me to take out all my important documents as they needed stamping before we could enter the plane.

As we got closer towards the plane I groaned as I remembered why I never took any flights, mainly because I always hated taking lots and lots of turns before you reach your airplane.Luckily after getting our documents checked out and we entered the plane we discovered that Sophie's ticket was number 25 and mine 26.Thank god that our seats were right next to each other and luckily mine was by the window.

After being sitted for about a minute or two I suddenly remembered that I forgot to call mum and dad.I quickly grabbed my phone and dialled my mother's number and immediately after two rings she picked up.

"Hey mum sorry I can't stay on the phone for too long the plane is about to take off but we made it."

"It's okay sweetie we'll talk once you land."

"okay bye."

Not even waiting for my mother to reply I dropped the phone call and placed my phone onto my lap and quietly stared out the window wondering what it would be like in North America. Sophie didn't even tell me which city we'll be living in so I'm guessing that it's a surprise.

Not long after my phone call with my mother I saw the plane doors closing shut as airhostesses took their positions on different parts of the plane and kept on talking and demonstrating but I wasn't paying any attention well not until the captain started talking and told us to all put our cellphones on airplane mode.

After placing mine on air plane mode I  felt the airplane moving and quickly looked out the window to see the plane slowly rounding all the bends of the runway that suddenly when the runway seemed straight it started picking up speed then I realized that we were taking off.North America here we come.

The ride on the plane was quiet except for when the air hostess came by and asked us if we would like anything and I of course said yes nearly everytime.Ordering snacks whilst watching movies I downloaded before leaving. Sophie fell asleep as soon as the plane was in the air and woke up as soon as we landed for fuel.The rest of the way she was wide awake.I often saw her smiling and blushing at her phone as she kept on scrolling through pictures in her gallery.I knew that whoever it was must have had her wrapped around his finger and knowing myself I was going to find out sooner rather than later.

I for one was awake the whole ride but later on stopped watching movies and spent most of my time listening to music through my black headsets with a white flower design on both sides.As I could feel myself starting to get sleepy after a long time I heard the air hostess announcing for all devices to be switched off and sit belts put on.

I felt my face filling with excitement as the plane dropped slowly but quickly until finally it landed with a thud and started racing down the runaway.Finaly we have made in one piece.
