38 Extinct Devil House member.

Amara was always quite fast despite her massive size. Now she was even faster and as time went on Adrian could feel more of her power be shared with him through their soul contract. Even as she was flying she was still draining more and more mana which was worrying.

He walked up to her head and jumped on the tip of her nose to look at her eyes.

"Are you ok? You are taking in a massive amount of magic. You could blow up if you can't handle the strain you know?"

'I am fine, master.'

"You can finally talk?"

'It is easier now.'

"Fine, if you feel like it becomes too much feel free to unleash as much as you can. The destruction you cause matters little. You matter more than that."

'Yes.'

He sighed as he sat down looking at the underworld that he passed over. As he expected it was mostly wilderness which was a welcomed change to the modern world. Plus the powerful whirlwinds hitting him in the face felt refreshing.

Everyone else on her back was also looking around as this was a truly new world. They did not expect to see such a sight win their long lives which made all of them take a moment to appreciate it.

The Underworld was a truly beautiful place as it was full of wilderness and strange wildlife. Of course, those creatures were mostly scurrying away from Amara as they had no intention to fight a dragon.

Even so, they were not entirely putting their guard down as they had their weapons drawn for any enemy that might find them. August looked around as he ordered the Fume Knights to high attention.

Being in a strange land of a different world had him completely on guard. Adrian was even more on edge as he had no idea where was a good place to set up base to not antagonize anyone from the start.

If he choose somewhere that was already owned he started a fight he was ready to win, but it was better to find a nonclaimed area. The Underworld was a giant landmass full of unclaimed territory so he knew he just had to find one of those.

That was exactly what Amara was looking for, but not just any random field would do. She was looking for a mana vein as her new sense let her feel the literal veins of magic in the ground.

Some were small, others large but they did not measure up to her standards. He had zero clue where she was going so he decided to just enjoy the scenery of the Underworld.

He sat down and laid down on the small ridge and closed his eyes. This was one of the first times he got to relax so was going to take it. Seraphine and Priscilla walked up Amara's head toward where Adrian was sitting and they noticed he seemed relaxed.

They both walked up to him and laid down next to him. Seraphine called out to him as he seemed asleep.

"Adrian, where is she going?"

He shook his head as he had zero clue.

"Nowhere for now. She is looking for a powerful mana vein where we can set down Anor Londo. Plus she is getting away from the original area we appeared in. She drained the mana for miles, which will draw attention. Once we find such a place we can take a moment to prepare."

Priscilla thought of something serious.

"If we do set up a whole fortress city what will the ruling powers of this world say. It can't be good can it?"

He nodded.

"If they find us, they will either ask us to submit or die. That or try to recruit us so for now we keep out of it now. Hold the phone, Amara slow down."

She did as he asked as at that moment Adrian noticed something below with his near hawk-like vision. He saw a single person sitting by a small fire who now was frozen in terror as she looked into the sky.

That was the expected result as a 110-meter long dragon flying in the sky.

"Amara, land there. Try not to squish the woman. Seems we found our first native."

Seraphine drew one of her swords with a smirk as if she has just seen prey.

"Interrogation time?"

Adrian grabbed the nape of her neck and picked her up easily like a kitten. She never liked when he did this as it was embarrassing. She started to kick and squirm in his hand, but he just smiled at her cute display.

"No, you psycho. That comes after if she does not comply with our demands. Be civil at first and then let your inner sadist flow."

Priscilla shook her head at both of them.

"Please leave the torture for the very end. Let's just ask first, please."

Both Seraphine and Adrian smiled as they were joking. He placed her back down as he got ready to talk to this woman. He wondered if she was a devil or fallen which would change things depending on which.

When Amara landed she did so a decent distance from the woman. She had fallen to her knees and she was shaking in terror. Adrian, Seraphine, and Priscila had jumped off and were walking toward her.

She just about passed out when she looked at Adrian as she could swear a demon was looking at her over his shoulder. It emerged from the armor and was standing over his shoulder with burning red eyes.

It looked like a giant dog made of shadows, but she snapped out of it when she heard Adrian speak. He kneeled in front of her, but he still towered over her as she was only 5'6 which made her feel like a child in front of him.

"Hey, mind answering some questions of mine? You really don't have much choise so please do so for your sake. The alternative won't be pretty, but I can compensate you for it if you do."

She looked up at him and nodded with fear. She placed her hand over her heart to calm herself. She did not want to die so she was going to do as he said to not die. When Adrian saw she was lucid enough to question he started.

"Alright, is this Devil or Fallen Angle territory?"

She took a deep breath before she answered.

"Neither, this is the middle ground between both, sir."

As he heard that it meant that this was for sure not a good place to lay claim to. If he did so he would be flanked by both Devil and Fallen.

"Alright next question, where can I go to get out of either. The unexplored areas even, the wilds land that no one had claimed over."

She thought about it and pointed North. It was where she was going to escape from her house.

"I don't know how far out, but what we call the Untouched areas. It is either too dangerous or far too isolated to conquer. My goal."

'Good to know.'

As Adrian was deep in thought Seraphine looked at the woman with a careful eye. She had long dark blue hair, purple eyes, and quite a large bust. It was equal in size to Seraphine's own, but it looked larger as she was much shorter and she was far less athletic.

Overall she was a very gorgeous woman who rivaled Serpahien and Priscilla. Unlike them, she was more soft than firm.

"What is your name?"

She looked at Seraphine and answered.

"Lathia Vassago."

When Adrian heard that he used his boosted intelligence he got from maxing it out to review his memories of the Light Novel of DxD. Call it a blessing or a curse, but he could review everything in his life from his birth to his death in slow motion. Not nice to be atomized by a death bolt.

'Vassago was one of the extinct devil houses. Wonder what ability they had.'

"Lathia, what is your special ability called? I am interested."

She decided to be honest as she just had to look at the squinted eyes of Amara and the shadow dog. They looked ready to murder her if she did not do as they wanted.

"It's Nullification. It can nullify most abilities we can see within a limit. if the being is much stronger it will only weaken it at most while we will suffer a backlash. If we are stronger the backlash is to the affected."

Adrian got up and began to walk toward Amara.

"Well thank you very much miss devil. My last question is why are you out in the middle of nowhere."

She got meek and quiet, but he noticed something else. A drive and purpose in her eyes.

"I am running from my house for the simple reason that I would die if I stayed. I am just the daughter of a maid and a noble from house Vassago."

Priscilla was looking at her with her Life Hint ability and found a great amount of life force in her soul. It was honestly great which meant she has a higher potential limit than most.

"So what is your goal in going to such a dangerous place?"

Lathia gripped her leather pants and stood up.

"Training I guess. I wanted to grow enough so I could at least have some say in my house. To not die without trying I guess. I know it is stupid, but it is all I could do."

Adrian raised an eyebrow as he smiled at her drive. It was not something extraordinary, but it was more guts than most had. More guts than Rias for sure. He would put the girl in her place when she was born. On his lap with his palm.

He giggled when he thought of that. It made Priscilla and Seraphine roll their eyes as he had just thought of something lewd. He coughed and asked his other point.

"Well, I guess this is fate, how about I offer you something? You teach me what you know about magic and locations in the Underworld and I help you become the head of your house in the future?"

Serapihe and Priscilla looked at Adrian with squinted eyes as they thought he was doing if for her looks. Sure looks matter, but he rather recruit the ugliest person with potential than the pretties without a shred of it. Does not mean he would date the ugly one though.

Lathia looked at his eyes and saw a great deal of confidence. He extended his hand toward her with a confident smirk.

"If you need more proof how about a devil contract. You offer your loyalty to me in exchange, I give you house Vassago on a silver platter. If I fail, you get the ownership of my soul."

Seraphine had once thought looking at all this.

'Which is the Devil, Adrian or her?'

The female devil looked at Adrian's hand which started to look more like the hand of the Devil. It made her frown as she felt inferior as a Devil. She reached out and grabbed his hand.

"I agree to the terms of the contract."

A bright red glow went from their hands which meant that Adrian just got himself a good source of information. Sure he had read the Light Nove, but when things become real and this far back none of that mattered.

"Welcome to our small group. I hope you enjoy your stay."

Adrian bowed in a joking matter before he started to walk back toward Amara.

"Oh, I am Adrian Blake, call me which ever. Being honest I think Blake sounds much cooler. If you want you can call me Captain as my men. I don't care. The Demon Dog that has been looking at you is Hannibal."

Seraphine looked down at her and placed her hand over her chest before giving a small bow.

"I am Seraphien, I have no last name. I guess I will take Blake as the big guy is my lover."

Priscilla did the same as her as it was just a custom they had.

"I am Priscilla and I also have no last name. Same as her."

Lathia bowed slightly as a form of respect. She was after all taught by her mother to show respect to those who show it to you.

"It is good to meet you."

Amara lowered her head for everyone to get on so once they were back, they all looked at Lathia with intrest. August crossed his arms as he looked at her.

"You possess a very powerful soul. What is your speciality, physical or magical?"

Lathia looked up at the giant that August was, but found him inferior to Adrian

"I am a mage I guess, if needed I can hold my own in a physical confrontation. Who are you?"

Adrian pointed at him and sighed.

"My cousin, August. Also my second in command. Well introductions can wait, we need to leave and soon. We are being hunted after all."

Amara took off before they stayed any longer. She followed the directions given by Lathia and started to head toward the border of the Devil and Fallen territory to reach the unexplored regions.

Adrian's excitement was on the rise. He should probably poach Grayfia's mom as he did not know how old Grayfia was. Mom and daughter maids sounded nice.

'Good thjng only Hannibal knows'

<The system knows.>

'Can I fuck you?'

<Processing???????>

'I will take that as a maybe. Sweet.'
