Being Artorias For a Time.

(Sorry for the weird schedule. This is part of the story turned out harder to write. I did not want to release a crappy quality Chapter.)

Adrian dragged Artorias by the leg outside as even though he was healed he was completely spent. He could barely move and even though it was shameful, Adrian was still going to use him to show off.

Artorias was trying to muster up the strength to not make a shameful display in front of his future sister-in-law, but he was failing. He looked at Ciaran with hope for her to help, but she just smiled at him.

She was too relieved that he was alive that she did not bother to stop Adrian. He pushed his way out the fog gate and he saw Seraphine sitting on Kalameets' right foot.

From the look of it, he was asleep as he rested his head on the ground in front of her. She was polishing one of her greatswords as there were no enemies around. They were all too scared of Kalameet to come anywhere near them. As for the ones without the instinct to analyze danger they were incinerated to ash.

When she noticed Adrian was coming out she expected him to be helping Artorias walk, not dragging him out like a big fish. As her helmet was on her lap she covered her mouth to avoid laughing.

She could barely hold her laugh back and when Artorias heard her he felt his honor as a knight was gone.

"My honor as a knight is forsaken. How cruel fate is to one such as I."

Adrian looked down at him and smiled.

"You know this is why you almost died. Your honor as a knight did not protect you from the Abyss you know."

Adrian stopped dragging him and let go of his foot. Seraphine jumped in his arms making him glad to have a gorgeous woman like her as his lover. It reminded him of his sex friend as that woman had a body to be envied.

He kind of missed her as even though he was paying her for sex she was nice to him. As a cripple and someone with no family anymore that was hard to find. His war buddies had not met up for a few years so she was his closest thing to a friend.

Which reminded him, he wondered what happened to his money. It was a shame he could not lounge as he wanted, but he did have his leg back so that was fine with him. He would just become an oil Barron or something.

"Well Seraphine, this sad sack of shit is my brother Artorias. Ignore his shameful display as I turned out to be the superior fighter. The short girl behind him is my future sister-in-law Ciaran."

Artorias and Ciaran both got called out on their biggest inferior complexes. Ciaran was a lord just like Adrian, Artorias, and Ornstein, but she was a normal human height.

She was actually average at 5'6 which made her feel tiny compared to Seraphine who was 6'3. She also noticed the mocking grin Seraphine had as she pushed her larger chest forward.

Adrian noticed that and he winked at Artorias who got the message.

'I win.'

Ciaran felt completely defeated and she glanced at Artorias with a sad smile. When he noticed he forced himself off the ground despite the fact his body was bursting with pain.

He hugged Ciaran and shot Adrian a look He knew Ciaran did not like talking about her height as it was something she was ashamed of. Plus, Artorias felt shamed as he failed in his duty.

"Please, do not make a mockery of my plight brother. I have enough of that already."

Adrian looked at him and shrugged.

"Fine, anyway this lovely lady here is Seraphine. My lover."

She politely bowed to both Artorias and Ciaran. She was just jealous of Priscilla's height and larger chest so she wanted to do the same to someone shorter.

"I am Seraphine and the big lugs lover. One of them at least."

Artorias glanced at Adrian confused.

"You? You got a lover after eons of being single. I can't remember the last time you were close to a woman as you were so focused on fighting and dragons. I can see you tamed Kalameet. Making the impossible possible after all."

Adrian nodded as he walked in front of the Black Dragon. The dragons center eye looked into his which did not cause any danger. Adrian placed both hands on Kalameet's face gently and scratched his scaly hide.

It made Kalameet close his two eyes relaxed. Being treated nicely like this was a good change compared to all the ones who tried to hunt him down.

"You can say that. Now, that I have managed to save you, brother, I have things to accomplish in this time before we go back. Like put Manus in his place and take his soul."

Artorias popped his previously broken arm. Even if it was healed he still felt phantom pain of it being shattered.

"Knowing you, you want to absorb his soul. I do not recommend it, even I lost myself to the Abyss. We need to save Sif. I left him down there with my shield as protection."

Ciaran moved to his side and tried to help him stand. It was kind of funny to see how both Artorias and Adrian were tall giants at 11 feet, but their lovers were shorter than them.

"You can't. Not in this state."

Artorias looked at his side at Ciaran as he answered determinedly.

"I will be fine, this is my mission and I have to complete it."

Adrian looked at him shook his head.

"You cannot Artorias. You must not cause more changes to the timeline as who knows what will happen if you do. One thing for sure is that you need to 'die'. This is the time and place you died."

Seraphine nodded.

"This place becomes a famous grave where Sif guards your resting place. You will need to leave one of your rings and your sword as that is the same sword Sif uses. It grew larger from the souls of those who tried to take your ring."

Ciaran looked at Artorias as she also knew it was true.

"He is right my love, you need rest. Especially as your mind might still be compromised."

Adrian looked at her and gave her an interesting request.

"Can you make Artorias' shrine look real? I need people to truly think he died here so Artorias you might need to leave that sword here as Sif in the future uses it as his personal weapon."

Artorias sighed as there were so many rules to time travel. As for Ciaran, she started to think up ways to make it look at real as possible.

"Well, I will see what I can do. You should talk to Gough when you can. You were close to him even if you two did not agree on dragons. Even though he enjoyed dragon hunting he respected your order in their dragon taming."

Adrian nodded as he looked at Artorias' armor.

"Take off your armor and give it to me. I will lend you my armor for now."

Artorias knew what he was trying to do.

"Let me guess, in the future Knight Artorias saved Oolacile and put an end to Manus. However, I was in reality already dead so you are putting history right?"

Adrian confirmed it so he unequipped his armor staying in his tunic and demon leather pants. Adrian did the same and equipped his armor so Artorias put Adrian's armor on.

Once both knights had switched armor, but not weapons. Those were going to stay with Adrian. He put on the helmet as he started to get on Kalameet's back.

"Well, I will be seeing the both of you. Remember what I said, do not cause too many changes. I am only putting history where it is needed. Also, you better be careful with that armor. It might turn you to ash if you activate the magic in it."

Artorias gulped and decided to be careful. Still, he wondered how his brother could move in this as it was insanely heavy. Every step felt like he had a mountain on his back.

"Go, brother. We will work on my shrine."

Ciaran already got to work.

"I will make sure we do not cause too much change. I will try to make the shrine as genuine as I can."

Adrian held his hand out for Seraphine who jumped up and grabbed his hand. He pulled up and placed her next to him as Kalameet took off. He flew toward the Oolacile Township which would be much easier with the help of a dragon.

Just getting around was made many times easier especially when your ride could rain fire down on any enemy you wanted. Seraphine watched in awe as Kalameet's corrosive flames melted stone, enemies, and almost anything it touched.

When they landed in the middle of the town many abyss creatures charged out, but Kalameet activated his calamity eye and the effect was amazing. Anything in his line of sight was petrified to death.

Adrian and Seraphine jumped off as they admired the destruction brought by the giant dragon. She pulled on Adrian's hand making him look down.

"What?"

She pointed at the destruction caused by Kalameet.

"Remind me to make sure he is always happy. When will you release Amara?"

"I don't know if the me of this time will notice. Amara is a big dragon after all. For now, let's go take on the Father Of The Abyss."

"Makes sense, well let's go kill the big bad monster. You do want his soul right?"

Adrian looked at Kalameet and waved him off.

"You can do as you please for now."

That was all it took as he took off flying. Even if he was loyal to Adrian, he still liked to go on his own. As the last Ancient Dragon being alone was normal for him. Seraphine placed her helmet on as Adrian led them through the Oolaciel which had fallen to the dark.

It was kind of depressing looking how a place known for its miracles had turned into a place of the dark. All around Abyss creatures roamed which he called bobbleheads.

Several of them fired dark sorcery at them which they dodged as getting hit by them would not be nice. He charged at one of them and landed a burning kick to the face of it which exploded its head.

Seraphine swung down with her right sword which eviscerated more of the corrupted residents of Oolacile. After a while, Adrian hung back watching as she masaccured her foes.

"You know you look hot when you go around killing things."

She kicked the leg of one of the bobbleheads and once it was on the ground she forced her foot down. Its head cracked with a sick crunch as brain matter and blood went everywhere.

"Thanks, I really try you know."

She placed her swords on her back as there were no more enemies left. Seraphine was glad he liked it when she fought as it was something she enjoyed. She felt that when she was human she most likely was a battle maniach.

"Trying to remember your past?"

She nodded.

"I guess, I know I had no family as I would have a tiny feeling about them. No, I think my whole life was spent on the battlefield."

Adrian kicked open a chest and pulled out the Silver Pendent.

"Well let's find you a hobby then."

She thought about it as they looted everything they could get. It was not much as Oolacile had long since been looted for all it was worth. They explored the ruins and once they found nothing else they approached an elevator.

They both nodded and stepped on the weight that started to bring them down into the casm of the Abyss. It was a good thing that this one here was still not as developed as the one in New Londo as that one kills almost everything.

Adrian wanted that power for himself along with the fire of the Witch of Isolith's lord soul As for Gwyn's he planned to give that to Solaire and Nito's would be given to Seraphine.

She was undead already and as long as she did not become a skeleton they would be fine. He had a system after all which managed to save Artorias more or less from the Abyss.

They walked off the elevator into the dark Abyss-covered tunnels with care. Adrian had to say this was a really good sword and armor that he would not have minded using. Too bad he liked the Fume Knight better.

He held the Wolf Knight Greatsword along with his Fume Knight greatsword. Time to roleplay the build he used when he beat the Nameless King for the first time. Dual Greatswords.

"Come on and let's get me, my soul."

Seraphine nodded.

"Got it."

No Joke. That was the way I beat him the first time. All damage, no blocking or dodging.
