22 Amara Get's Even.

Cough and Andre both had already made quite a few arrows as it was very simple to do. All it needed was metal and they had huge quantities of that. Adrian would leave most of the gear of his foes with them to smelt down which netted them a huge amount of steel and titanite.

Still, it was still a small part of his mountain of heart, and just looking at it made his hoarder mindset go insane. It was so large that felt that if nothing was done he might end up with a mountain as tall as Everest at this rate.

'System, can you extract material from this?'

<No.>

-New Item created.

-Mineral Extractor

-3 million souls.

'That is the same as the Dragon Cores, why so expensive?'

<System is made to push the user including in money management.>

That annoyed Adrian, but he could not change the system now. It reminded him of something.

"Oh, Adre remember that Titanite Demon I gave you. What happened to it?"

Andre walked to one of the giant tables and placed down a huge stack of Black Titanite Ingots. There were so many that it looked endless and it was a great material to use.

"Melted the bugger down to make these. If ye need some upgrades we can use these."

Adrian nodded as he placed another pile of gear down.

"Here is more for you guys, can use as much of the extracted material you want. I know you like to experiment with it."

That made them more willing to work, but while they did that August brought up a good point. He knew something about the Archives that would make this much harder.

"If we are going to be hunting Seath, we will need two teams. One to distract him as while he is connected to the Primordial Crystal he is immortal and heals from any damage caused to him. The other to destroy it so we can kill him and rain fire on him."

Seraphine thought about something to smoke Seath out.

"Why not just have Amara, burn down the archives with Seath in them. It will smoke him out into the open where Amara, Scorn, and Devastator can kill him."

Everyone else felt it was a good idea, but someone else intruded into their meeting to stop such ideas.

"BLASPHEMY! How could you even suggest destroying all the knowledge contained within? It is precious and should be protected and studied."

Logan ran to Adrian and kneeled in front of him begging him not to do it.

"I beg you, my lord, don't do this. All of that is history and unknown spells never before seen. You must not do it, I offer my loyalty and will make new spells for you from what I can learn."

Everyone looked at the mad sorcerer who was obsessed with learning from Seath's archive. Adrian knew that he would end up going mad if he started to learn from it like this. However, he thought maybe he went mad because his mind was not strong enough.

"Logan, I will allow you to learn from the archive if you can raise your intelligence to a higher degree. At least twice your current one."

Logan was both confused and shocked at such a high number. No one in Adrian's group was normal as all they did in their free time was hunt the time loop stuck enemies. Most of their stats numbered in the 60s or higher.

"Why my lord?"

Adrian pointed at Logan's face as he explained.

"Simple, if you try to learn with a weak mind you will go mad. Now, we set off, to the Archive. Remember, Seath is deep underground, and to kill him we will need to destroy his crystal. You can come if you want, but do not touch anything."

"I swear it on my honor."

No one believed him as sorcerers were known to be liars. Once they all had rested for an hour they set off toward the Archives. It was not far from Cough's forge, but it was still a walk away.

In the sky, Amara, Scorn, and Devestaro always flew around Anor Londo to guard it against intruders. The two Undead Dragons usually slept as they focused on recovery. At the moment they did not have much use with how damaged they were.

Adrian looked at Sif next to him and patted him on the head.

"Use your nose buddy. If there is danger, let us know."

The wolf nodded as he focused on his instinct. He had lost too many people he cared about and he did not want to lose more. They expected the trip to take a while as they all knew that Seath had expanded his archives underground to protect himself and his treasure.

However, now it would make their job a lot harder as they could not hurt him. As they stood in front of the Archives, they saw an armored boar charging out toward them. At this point, such an enemy was more of a food item so Solaire just shot a lightning spear at its face killing it.

The poor creature flailed as its meat was cooked by the power of lightning. It would need some more work, so they stored it away to make a rotisserie style of cooking. They stored it away as they proceeded inside.

Seraphine looked around and saw that the winding hallways seemed odd.

"Either Seath was very paranoid or he hated company."

Every single Fume Knight including Andrian answered her question.

"He was both."

Adrian was the one to explain a bit better as he saw another boar charge at him. He grabbed the tusks and with a big spin broke its neck. When they heard the sickening crack it showed how strong Adrian really was.

"Seath is both of those things. Born with no scales and destined to die, all of it made him hate the Everlasting Dragons with a passion. He betrayed them all for a chance at immortality, look where it got the mad worm."

They stopped talking as they saw a Bonefire which Adrian lit up. Solaire noticed the elevator and walked toward it.

"We go up then."

They all stepped on the contraption as Solaire pulled the lever taking them up. When they made it up they were immediately fired upon by crystal arrows so Logan and Solaire sniped them from range with miracles and sorcery.

As they continued they noticed the crystal golem looking into the corner which Adrian cut in half with a well-placed sword swing. When it was destroyed he smashed it open to pull out the broken pendant.

"What is that thing?"

Priscilla asked him as he was holding the broken item which he showed her.

"A broken pendent."

She could not see his eyes as every single Fume Knight had that enchantment to their face. However, she could feel how the pendant seemed important to him.

"Uncle, do you recognize it?"

Adrian nodded.

"I think so, but for now it does not matter really. Let's go."

Everyone nodded as they walked into a large part of the archive that made Logon geek out at all the books he could read. He was about to rush out, but Harold grabbed him by the nape like a cat.

"Captain, the sorcerer was about to ignore your orders."

"Tie him up. We can't have him going messing things up.

"NO! UNHAND ME! I MUST R-"

They stuck a gag in his mouth and tied him to a pillar. Solaire and Seraphine shook their heads at the shameful display by the sorcerer. Sure knowledge is nice, but must he risk the whole mission for this.

Adrian pointed at Lucian another Fume Knight.

"Do you mind keeping an eye on him?"

The knight shook his head.

"No, I will make sure he does not escape."

August gave an order to split up as this place was huge.

"Carnage, Gabriel, Baldwin I want you three to stay in this general area and start to pack up all the books. Do not read them as who knows what curses they contain."

"Yes sir."

The three knights nodded as they got to work storing away all the books in their inventories and keeping guard over the entrance. They did not need more mad sorcerers trying to ruin everything for them.

Adrian motioned for the rest to follow him.

"Come on, let's find Seath shall we."

They got to the second floor and they took the elevator they found up. As they went up Sif, ears drooped and he began to growl. It made them all raise their guard. As they walked into the crystal hallway they had to break the sharp crystals as there were so many.

Eventually, they got in front of the boss room where Seath was staying. Sif had his ears drooped and from the look of it was nervous. Adrian walked in front and before he looked at his small group.

"Solaire, Seraphine both of you come with me. All of you enter only when I give the signal."

August nodded.

"We got your back captain. Just give the word."

Priscilla wanted to come with him, but he must have a reason. She smiled at him as she put on her helmet that was made with her horns in mind.

"Good luck and don't die again."

The three of them walked into the fog gate and came face to face with Seath who was royally pissed off. He did not have much metal facility left as his search for immortality had all but left him insane.

"Solaire, Praise the sun with all your heart."

Hearing Adrian say that filled him with so much faith in the sun that it made his miracles stronger.

"PRAISE THE FUCKING SUN!"

When he activated his Sunlight storm it made over 20 lighting spears that rained down on Seath. Feeling them hit his body filled the Paledrake with so much pain that even the fact that he healed instantly did not take away from it.

The distraction that Solaire brought made Adrian charge toward Seath and threw his longsword to impale him through the eye socket. A sword in his brain was painful and it enraged the scaleless dragon. Too bad the sword was launched out immediately leaving no wound.

That was all Adrian wanted to know so he called back his sword like he was thor. It was one of the best enchantments they had as throwing your weapon was useless if you could not find it after.

He grabbed Solaire and Seraphine as he changed toward the wall next to the fog gate ready to ram through it. He could not kill Seath right now, but he did know that Seath could be hurt.

Solaire and Seraphine braced for impact and when Adrian smashed through the wall August, Priscilla, Sif and the rest of the Fume Knights were ready. Adrian looked at them all as he put down Solaire and Seraphine

"Run, we pissed him off."

They did not even ask as they broke out running away from him. They ran through the crystal maza as they heard the enraged roars of Seath. Adrian had done what he was after to piss him off so he could lure him to the outside.

'Amara, Scorn, Devestar get ready.'

The three dragons were ready and Seath in his madness did just as Adrian expected. He smashed through the rooftop of the Archives and at that moment the three dragons blasted him with flames causing him to burn.

Seath might be immortal thanks to his crystal, but he was facing another immortal. A true one at that and when he sensed Amara he was enraged beyond words. She was the very last true Everlasting Dragon and it caused him unimaginable jealousy.

She was also enraged as she blamed Seath for the death of her race. For once he had a lucid thought and it was nothing good. He was going to rip her scales off one by one and show her what it was like to be without them. As the three dragons kept him busy Adrian and his team started to rush underground toward the Ancient crystal.

He had already found the path down and it was all about time. If they took too long Seath's sorcery might be able to hurt his dragons before they could put him down. This was one advantage Seath had as he could not truly die as long as he had his crystal.

Three on one was not very fair, but the battle was never about being fair. Amara knew it all too well as she was there when Gwyn slaughtered her kin. Her 4 wings flapped with pure might as she charged at the traitor with rage in her eyes. He was why her race was all dead and she had a score to settle.

Her head rammed Seath into the sky where Devastator swooped down with his back legs extended. He sunk his claws into Seath's soft flesh which could not put him down, but the pain they caused was worth it.

Scorn brought Seath outside of the city and smashed him down into the ground. When he was on the ground Amara blasted him with her powerful flames causing unimaginable agony to Seath.

His immortality was working against him and he felt parts of his skin turn to ash only to be regenerated. Devastator and Scorn rained fire on Seath and with three dragons trying to turn to ash he could barely fight back.

However, he felt something disappeared. He could no longer feel his connection to his crystal as Adrian and his group had already destroyed it. Amara got a message from Adrian and it was one she wanted to hear.

'Rip his head off for me. Take the soul, but don't consume it.'

She looked at the burning traitor who no longer held and she took the chance. She flew down and grabbed his head with her right claw. She gripped it tight and ripped his head off.

With the head of Seath in her hand, she roared to the sky as she held it for sport. The crystal cave was actually the easiest part of it as Adrian had the help of a very useful Drake. Russ was small enough to fly in the cave and he flew down while Seath was distracted.

Adrian slumped down on Russ as he was kind of mentally exhausted with this. He had to avoid death for everyone as been though they would revive, he did not want to make someone of his team lose their memories.

On the other hand, he also felt annoyed he could not just kill Seath with his own hands, but some enemies were just annoying like that. At least Amara got her revenge for her race and Russ felt useful again.

A plus was that the archives were more or less whole. Now they just had to find out what to do with Seath's corpse as Adrian did not think it was edible. Questions for later.
