22 Not you too

Although Treya was angry at her brother she was worried about him. She had been appalled to see him shift into that terrifying demon form. She looked for him all over the forests by the castle nearly forgetting about the escaped witches. In truth she hoped she wouldn't find the women. She wasn't sure she could hold her anger inside. They were the reason her brother was in this state. They were the reason he seemed to turn on her. She loved both her brothers but Lanthier was different. He was the dark presence that kept her safe as a child. He was the demon she would run to when she had a bad dream. He was her young father. The only parent she ever knew. She felt that if she found those witches she would pull their hearts through their chests savoring the blood that came along with them. She felt that if she did this however the demon who raised her would never forgive her. This is why she wanted to steer clear of them. They had bewitched her powerful elder brother or at least one of them had. She remembered the sweet smell of the witch's room and crinkled her nose. She prayed to the lord Amiy she would not catch that scent. She gave up her search in the woods to find her other brother Damos in order to catch him up on the last nights events. She followed his dulled aura to the great hall room. Damanos was there drinking. He looked slightly slumped over. 'What the hell'? Her brother rarely drank. Never to the point of intoxication. Not since he was a teen.

"Hello dear sister." Damos smiled at her but he kept his head down.

"Hello Damos." She stared at him wondering what was going on, he had a large scratch on his face that should have healed by now so none other then Lath must have given it to him. It would heal, the scratch just needed more time to disappear when it came from the powerful king. Had they found Lanthier? Was he hurt? Her brother felt way to powerful last night she was so scared he might rip his own body in two trying to find a way for his inner evil to separate from flesh. Separation was an old wives tale but after what had happened last night she was nervous this might be real too.

"Sister I am glad your here! I have found my mate sister. I love her!"

'What the hell was this idiot droning on about. If he found his mate he needed to mark her and be done with it. What vamp or demoness would not murder for the chance to be this mans mate. They had more important matters'.

"Damanos I'm worried about Lath. I saw him change, he shifted into something." Damanos tilted his head up and locked his dark eyes on his sister's.

"You should be worried sister, it hurts, it hurts not to have her near. I know because I feel it too." His voice sounded like it came from another realm. A whisper that sounded like the devil himself was talking through her brother. Damanos knew his sister was confused. "Sister my heart belongs to the witch that had just arrived. The farther away she gets the more it hurts." He took another swig of whatever he was drinking and sat there wallowing in his depression. Treya could feel her mouth gape open. She was stupified. Was she the most levelheaded sibling ruling this kingdom right now. Her, the warrior who thought only with her claws and fangs. She hated to admit it but she didn't want to be the responsible sibling. She killed many a foe but she was a little scared of being the one in charge of Dradien. She didn't want to think her way out of this situation her family had gotten into. She was the brute force and muscle her brothers had teased her of being. She seemed to have no choice but to take the reigns since the most powerful men in the world had been bewitched. Apparently Treya would have to find them and do her very best to keep them alive until they could release her brothers of their internal prisons.

"Lord Amiy." She mumbled to herself.

Treya called for more liquor and drank with her older brother. Tonight she would drink herself numb, tomorrow she would hunt down those b******.
