14 Dreaming of Herself

Mira tossed and turned. Her dreams were so real. She saw herself. She was talking to herself then she was somewhere else. Lanthier was angry, or was he confused she couldn't tell. She wasn't at the castle anymore. but other places that seemed familiar and other places she might have been. She was talking to herself in her dream and then she was stabbed. She felt it above her heart. She woke up panting glad to be away from the pain. She rubbed above her heart at the cross shaped scar she had there. She hated when her dreams ended like this. This dream was always painful. Not just because of the physical pain, she always felt so sad when she was hurt by the same faceless person of her nightmares. She always felt like that pain robbed her of something. She felt that the deep cuts were leaving a void. The only good thing about this dream is she didn't have to worry about it coming true like other nightmares it never did. She wondered what the rest of her dreams tonight meant. This was so frustrating. She wished she didn't dream at all because she always deciphered them to late anyway. Mira got up from her bed and stared out the window. It had been two days since Mira had spoken to Lanthier. She didn't think she would get to see the castle anytime soon. More troops seemed to be mobilizing toward the forest everyday. They must be searching for the witches she thought to herself. What if they were real? What did they want? Would Lanthier fight the witches? If he hated them like he hated her they must be a threat. Mira knew the king was on edge with her like she was going to spring up into action at anytime and attack him. If he wasn't so scary she would sneak up on him and yell "boegy ugey ugey" for a good laugh but she knew this was a terrible. She could feel the dark energy that surrounded the king. That's why she started believing she was really in some fairytale land with monsters and kings without wifi or cars. Or monsters as kings she laughed at her inner joke feeling like she was going slightly delusional. She went over to her window and stared out at her garden in the darkness. There were so many stars in the sky it was well lit, the moon was a beautiful crescent casting its light down on the statues and plants. "Hmm." She let out a sigh. "Heaven." She stared for a while and then went back to bed. She dreamt of being in the garden. She was looking into a fountain watching her reflection. "Hold on Emiraine, I will be there soon, just a little longer!" Her reflection promised. Mira reached into the water but her reflection was gone the water instead rippled around her fingers and Mira's dream changed toward the constantly shifting quite visions she was used to.
