1 Dark cold cell

Mira woke up in darkness on a cold hard floor head pounding. What the hell happened. Her teethe chattered as she rushed to think of the last thing she could remember. It was so cold here.

Ok, last thing she remembered was babysitting her mother. Mira remembered picking her up off the ground and putting her in bed after a night out. ''Hmm, no, think Mira there has to be more." She pushed herself to remember despite the cold and her headache.

While she was deep in thought the room grew colder. She stood up from the ground knowing she needed to find a way out of this place but all of sudden her feet felt like they were yanked from under her and she landed on her back.

"Now tell me where the hell you came from!"

"What?" She didn't know there was someone else in the room.

"Who are you"?

"Ma'andy". She whispered. Mira hated feeling like this, defenseless, confused, and scared. She was about to ask the booming voice in the darkness where she was Despite her fears when suddenly she felt herself being choked by the air around her.

"The first words out of your mouth and you choose to lie". Shouted her terrorizer.

'Oh shit, oh shit'!

She tried to gasp as her eyes watered. The pressure let up and she coughed out "Mi'ira, my na'ame's Mira. Fru'uum Hartford."

She felt a cold hand on her chin although she swore she heard no movement. "What are you doing here witch?" Although she was scared to not give an answer she didn't know what this crazy person wanted to hear.

'Witch'? 'What am I doing here'? 'Could you please kindly answer these questions scary sir'?

"I, I don't know where I am. I don't mean to be here". She managed to sputter out. The man in the darkness let go of her chin. She was glad because it felt almost as if her skin was burning from the cold hands. She rubbed her throat and chin.

"You all know better then to be here, unannounced in my Kingdom". His tone was softer now, by no means pleasant just slightly less scary. She stayed quite, She didn't know how to give the right response to a psycho. The pounding in her head increased as the darkness somehow got darker.

Lanthier watched as the witch finally awakened. He watched her in the dark as she lay there thinking, her face scrunched as she concentrated. He remained ready in case she was able to mumble a spell. 'I cannot believe a witch had the b**** to set foot in my lands'. He could feel his self growing angrier. He crossed the room ready to interrogate his prisoner. As he neared her he caught her scent. 'so strange, like nothing he'd ever smelled before, like a mixture of sweet smells, well he had never been this close to a witch this must be what they smell of'. She rose and he knocked her back. 'Who the hell was she, did he tell her she could stand'! He had let his anger subside for a second while he thought of her strange scent but she just reminded him that he needed to show her who's doorstep she landed on. He asked who she was and where she came from while listening closely to her heartbeat. He was seething when he caught her in a lie. He held her throat tightly with his power until it seemed like she was ready to spit out information. 'Mira what a pretty name for a witch'. This time she told the truth, and she was genuinely scared, and seemed to not know what was happening.

'Still he could not just let a wand urchin enter his territory when she pleases. He would have to make an example of her'. As he was thinking of how to deal with her she lost consciousness. 'Annoying'.
