7 Escape

Winter landed swiftly feeling the rooftop against her feet with the cold wind brushing against her cheek she could whiff the nauseating smell of blood mixed in the air, she breathed lightly feeling completely out of place and continued to jump carefully from  one building to another, avoiding being seen by anyone. 

"Fuck, Fuck , Fuck…. How did I end up being here of all places, but where am I? What is  this place? How did I come here?"  Biting on her lips she tried her best to remember.

Suddenly Winter felt a sharp piercing pain in her skull, banging her head with immense pain and making her dizzy. She started losing sense of her surroundings and slipped off from the roof. She could feel her body falling down  and Winter plummeted into the ice cold lake with a splash. Her body felt an electric shock passed through it and she started losing consciousness from the instant cold hitting her body. Winter felt her body drifting into darkness... Losing all its will to fight. 

"Are you going to give up on living so easily little one?" The voice echoed in winters ears. 

"What is there to live for?" She whispered.  

A laughter echoed into her ears.  She felt frustrated and angry. She no longer wanted to talk to this voice. She felt her body in extreme pain  and started shivering because of the cold…

"You will find your reason to live soon!" The voice softly whispered into her ears. 

A smirk emerged across his face. He looked at her enchanting face intently while he carried her  into his embrace back to the castle. He kept her close to his body to provide her some warmth through him. He sighed inwardly to himself and tried to conceal himself within the shadow of the castle. He started walking slowly to not wake her up and stared at her for a moment. He honestly felt she was really a silly being…. 

Raine was also not sure why he felt the need to protect her, why he went after her and saved her for a second time. Even the effort trying to hide her like this…  He stopped at the place where he could see the window to his room and stared up to the castle's window. Just as he was thinking about how he would be able to  climb up there he heard a soft and gentle voice coming from behind him.  

"It's interesting to find you way out here."  

He tilted his head back and was jolted on seeing the Queen standing behind him. He was frozen with shock. He  couldnt move an inch. Just as he was contemplating what to say or do he heard a soft laughter ringing again within his ears. Yet voice saying gently to him, "Don't mind me, continue onto your rescue, but do see me once you are done Raine."

Raine nodded his head and jumped  into a tree. breathing heavily with winter still in his arms, close to his body, he swiftly landed into his room. He lightly sniffed his surroundings making sure he had no unwanted guests in there. He gently put Winter into his bed. When he looked back at her he noticed her cold supple body, with water droplets still on her, her pale face and and beautiful curves made him squint his eyes and he felt his body slowly heating up. He turns his body. leaving his back facing towards her.  

"What is this ungodly feeling." Whispered Raine to himself. He moved away from her, shaking his head, and proceeded to lock all the windows properly  making sure she doesn't escape again while she was still injured. 

Coming back to her, he saw her wet body and felt troubled, He must change her out of the wet clothes, but how is he going to change her! He had never seen a female naked body before. 

Not wanting to go beyond uncharted territory he grabbed a thick blanket and covered her body with it. Then he turned her body slightly such as her back faced him. Unhooking the dress he lay her on her back once again making sure the blanket doesn't expose any part of her body to him. He grabbed on to the dress from sides gradually pulling it off her body swiftly. He removed the dress and tucked her nicely in the blanket. 

Raine looked at that exquisite black rose dress in his hands and then stared at the young girl curled up under the blanket. Many questions running through his mind, so many answers he wanted to know, but all he could think about right now was about her identity…

"Who are you?"  He thought to himself. After making her comfortable and cozy he turned his back and started heading towards the door. He did not even care that his clothes were soaking wet from jumping into the lake to save her life. Scratching his head  he felt there would be a lot of troubles coming his way.

He locked his door making sure nobody entered as he headed off to the throne room. Raine felt uncertain what's coming his way, walking through the halls, not caring for the eyes that glares at him. He wondered how much anger and jealousy can one clan have within itself. 

When he approached the throne room he came across the guard "lookie here, Dick is standing guard" Raine grinned and walked through the door. Feeling the cool wind kissing his cheeks, Raine continued walking towards the throne with a smile on his face. 

Tilting her head slightly staring at the young man before her she as she spoke, "Must you enrage Joey?"  

Raine stares at the Queen slightly shocked and said, "He has a name?" Slightly laughing to himself. 

Queen Lilith looked at him amused. "You are still wet? Why didn't you change before coming here Raine or picking a fight with Joey was your top priority today ? " 

Raine shook his head and said, "Of course not my queen. You are my top priority of course." Smiling  towards her.  

Lilith leaned back into her throne. Slightly raising her brown, "How admirable, but that young beauty should be your top priority currently. I won't say much, but your true purpose lies with her. " Lilith's Pink's lips curved into a smile.

Looking  at his confused stare she got up from her throne walked close to him, she leaned every so close to his ears and whispered to him, "There are spies within our Castle. The truth will reveal itself with time. Continue to be my right-hand man. To the next step and your path reveal self." 

Raine was rendered speechless With her words, bewildered he simply stared at the empty throne.
