I woke to a sharp pain stinging in the right palm of my hand. I release an unsettled groan cradling my arm close to my chest. Dark veins protrude to the surface of her pale skin. I quickly reach for the bottle of dark grey pills hidden in my dresser. Kicking the covers from my feet I rush into the bathroom. I grab a glass cup and fill it with water before swallowing down two pills. My head spun with disagreement causing me to grip the sink roughly. It took just a few moments for the pain to subside and my vein to return to there normal hue.

I took in a deep breath looking up into the mirror. Her blackberry, dark purple, mid-length thick hair fall in loose curls, and is always painstakingly styled and maintain. I eyed my angular face with a square jaw, eyebrows so thick, and narrow, my expressive purple eyes; glossed over so they sparkled like a hundred diamonds. Nose well-formed, so that on a face of skin all the same caramel hue, was a bump just above her dusky pink lips.

I suddenly felt a rage of frustration overcome me as my beast surface at the back of my mind. I growled lowly, snatching the bottle of pills from the sink, walking back into my room. She hates hiding away when this sudden darkness takes over our body. It has been something we've been living with our whole life, and something we'll never get use to. I reach out to my beast wanting to calm her down before we could get too upset.

"Malva!" I release a deep sigh breathing in Ash scent; My beast rumbles softly when we caught a wiff of the infamous charcoal scent.

I quickly put the pill bottle back inside my dresser drawer, "Come in."

I turn my head to the right and lock eyes with dark gray ones. Ash, stepped slowly into the room, was a stubborn girl with a troublesome feel about her. Her grey hair is hip length and curvy down her back. She has a long face, a round chin and defined cheekbones. Her eyebrows are neat, and her beady, dull eyes are this charcoal gray. Her nose is flat over small plump lips. She was detached, humorous, insecure, and steadfast all in one.

My dear sister.

"You, of course, are not ready," she spits out in her judgmental tone.

I turn to fully face her with a small humorously smile, "Don't let my appearance fool you, Sis."

Ash cross her arms over her chest watching as I move to get dress. I swiftly threw on black leggings and a white tank; similar outfit to match my sister. My wolf finally starts to rest at the back of my mind; conserving her energy for later.

"Alpha, has requested a word before we head out to the training grounds," Ash inform me once I was ready, "Let's not keep him waiting any longer."

I roll my eyes and let my beast snap her teeth subtly. We exit my room and walk strangely in sync towards the office of Alpha Shade...our father. He was alpha of the Darkwolves. Shade dark soulless eyes only brightens when gazing upon his mate. His dark brown hair is very short and curly over a narrow face and round jaw. His presence alone can cast away light from the sunniest of places. He was tough on us growing up, especially me.

Ash and I have been sparing since we were ten; started training when we turned eight. When we first shifted he had us do it over and over until we could do it without complications. He had us spare against his strongest warriors and eventually each other. It was the beginning of our sisterly fued that only seems to grow the older we get. But it was no secret who was stronger.

"Come in," Shade called when Ash knocked on his office door.

The sweet smell of bayberry and maple scent invade my senses. Ash actually release a squeal as we barge into the office and into our mates arms. Claec and Slate were sent off to take care of some issue cause by a neighboring pack. My Claec has been gone for almost a full week and it was driving my wolf and I crazy. Ash and I still don't have the slightest clue what Shade had sent them off for. It puzzled us why he didn't sent us since we were the future of this pack, but they do have responsibilities as well. It's just weird.

"Miss me," Claec tease while pulling me even more closer to him.

"You have no idea," I mumble into his chess happily.

"What fucking took you so long," I hear Ash growl into Slate chess.

Slate was Ash's mate his black, long hair hangs over a full, triangular face, with a softly shaped jaw surround by a trim beard and hollow cheeks. His eyebrows are fine, and his almond-shaped, lively eyes are light gray with flakes of blue. He was the completely opposite of Ash; he was kind, charming, funny, and a badass all in one. I love him besides the fact that he was mated to the winch that is my sister.

"It took a little convincing to get those wolves to corporate," he confess, a smile lace in his voice.

My mouth open to question what he meant but Alpha Shade voice wash mind out, "Morning, ladies."

Ash and I instantly turn our attention to Alpha Shade, but stay completely planted on our mate's laps. We nod respectfully to our Alpha who waited patiently behind his desk. He slowly stood to his feet moving to stand before his desk.

"As all of you know, we have a full schedule this week with initiations and the pack wide meeting. Malva and Claec you're to help your mother with setting up the meeting. Ash and Slate you're with me..."

Ash look to me with a knowing smile, but I just focus on Claec fingers massaging my hips.

"You girls are both up with the last initiatives and I want no mercy. If you don't see any potential you have my permit to kill them."

We rumble in approval at our alpha's words. He only wants the strongest of wolves to join the pack and we couldn't agree more. The Darkwolves have plenty of enemies that want to see us fall. Shade had spent years strengthening our pack to become one of the strongest. One day it'll be ours and we our determined to follow in his footsteps.

"Of course father," Ash agreed wholeheartedly.

"Your reunions are over for now," he instructed gravely, turning back to his desk, "go spill some blood."
