The Whereabouts III

"Beneath us?"

"Yes. I can feel a familiar aura, and it could only belong to Frankenstein." Raizel replied.

"Then—"

"Yeah, let's go." Takeo replied.

"There, I see a passage." said Tao, pointing towards the right side of the church where people could be seen going down.

They immediately proceed and walked towards it. Sensing that they couldn't go wherever they please without creating a fuss, Raizel's sleepy red eyes brighten in crimson glow. At that instant, everyone in the church, except the three of them, was paused. It was as if they were frozen in time.

"Quick, we can't let Raizel-nim use his powers for too long." said Tao.

With their incredible haste, they vanished in thin air, consequently appearing on the steps near the passage that leads downwards.

Raizel released his mind control and everyone continued on about their business knowing nothing of what happened.

The three walked down the staircase. At the end of it, they were met with another heavy door. Takeo was about to open it however, before he could even try, the door opened out, and a middle aged man wearing white robes came out. The man had straight but yellow teeth, and his eyes were dark. It was shallow and sunken.

"Hé! qui es-tu !? Ne savez-vous pas que cet endroit est interdit à tout le monde sauf aux prêtres de cette église ?!" said he, chastising.

Sensing the different air around Raizel, he looked at the Noblesse's eyes. As he did so, he suddenly paused, and stepped back.

As they entered the door, they found themselves in a gray room full of elderly men and women, sitting around a wide table as if they're in a meeting. Seeing these three unfamiliar faces, they erupted into a burst as if questioning them. They are, however, speaking in french.

"qui es-tu?!" asked one of them.

"sors d'ici!" said another.

"Pourquoi ce prêtre vous a-t-il laissé entrer ?"

The crowd didn't last long, however, because one by one, they dropped unto their chairs or to the table. As Takeo looked towards the other end of the table, Tao was there, standing.

"I couldn't stand them yapping so I took the liberty of giving them some rest." Tao said. "Some of them looked like they haven't slept in a while."

"Sure." Takeo replied. " Let's search the surroundings. It doesn't looked like Frankenstein is here."

"How about that one?" Tao pointed towards the other side of the room. "That cabinet looked new compared to the rest of the furnitures here."

They went towards the furniture and Takeo put his bag besides him to lift the cabinet. lifting it aside, they discovered an elevator door behind.

"I guess that's what we're looking for." Said Tao.

Takeo picked up his bag as they entered the elevator.

"Is it still working?" he asked.

"Uhm, I don't know." Tao said. "Let's see."

Tao opened the cover of the floor buttons and rewire the wirings inside. A minute later, there was light in the elevator, and the floor indicator goes red.

"I guess yeah." Tao pressed some buttons, and the elevator door closed. Not a second later and they began moving down.

"Where are we going?" Takeo asked.

"The deepest floor." Tao answered.

Few minutes past and the elevator stopped moving. "Here we go." said Tao. They reached the bottom floor. Slowly, the door began to partway.

After seeing the sight before them, both Takeo and Tao could not hold the surprised. What could they have beholden? Who was it? or What is it?
