1 Dark Lightning

On a dark night a teenager looked up at the bright stars, thinking I wonder how it would be to travel the vast universe. Thinking about all the anime shows he watched, his favorite being Dragon ball Z, and reflecting on what his social studies teacher once told him, that "if they had could travel the universe they would probably run into a bunch of different life forms." That got his mind going, so basically there probably is a Saiyan race out there somewhere, "man if I could just leave this life and start somewhere new everything would be great."

Axel went back into his house, and his mom asked him "what where you doing out so late?"You know you have school in the morning, Axel looked at his mom and replied "I was at a friends house he just got the new Mortal Kombat 11 so I wanted to check it out and we lost track of time."Axel's mom replied "you shouldn't play too many video games, you never get anything done when you do."

The next day at school, Axel was getting ready for football practice after school, he was pretty popular but he always tried to stay out of the spotlight, but his athletic abilities wouldn't let him do so. Since he was young he was always the fastest and jumped the highest and excelled at almost any sport he played. "AXEL!! Just because you had 7 catches for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns last game doesn't mean you can slack off in practice," his wide receiver coached yelled. "Yes sir I got it," Axel always had his mind on other things he was big into sci-fi and anime but most of his teammates didn't know only his close friends that he grew up with.

Later that day Axel got home, and his older brother was on the couch listening to a podcast about a 12th planet just a little bit outside our solar system. He looked up at Axel and asked him "what do you think is on that 12th planet," and Axel replied "I don't know but it would be cool if we could visit it." Axel's older brother Marcus was very big on space and aliens, and watching conspiracy theory videos on MeTube. They both enjoyed watching anime and other super hero movies and often debated about which characters where the strongest.

Sometime later that night it was breaking news a meteor shower was coming straight towards their island. They lived right off the gulf coast of Texas, the news warned everybody to stay in their houses so they wouldn't get hit by the meteor shower even though most of it was supposed to land in the gulf.

Later that night around 3 o'clock in the morning, Axel was getting up to go to the bathroom, and as he was walking down the hall he saw a super bright light flash in his back yard, it startled him and he contemplated if he should check it out or not.

Thinking about all the movies and anime he's watched he figured why not check it out, he opened his door very quietly because he didn't want to wake his mom up. When he got to the back yard he saw at faint glow behind the palm trees with a 12 inch deep hole. As he got closer he saw it was a crystal black rock with a symbol on it that looked like a purplish black lighting bolt. He was hesitant to pick it up because he didn't know what it could be and he didn't want to get burned even though it was emitting any heat, but he's curiosity was killing him so of course he reached down to pick up the rock, and as soon as he's hand touched it, a black lighting bolt struck his body from dark clouds formed out of nowhere in mili seconds, in the clear night sky and a voice went off in his head and said you have inherited my dark lighting powers it will give you immeasurable powers if you can withstand the pain, his body started to heat up, and black veins started to bulge all over his brown skin and he screamed in agony till eventually he passed out.
