The Breakout

"A Breakout?!"

"A monster brea- AAAH!"

"RUN AWAY!!!"

"A Breakout has happened!!"

"Someone call the Hero Guild!!"

"HELP!"

"NO! NO! STOP!! AAAHHH!!"

"NOOO! DON'T EAT ME!! NOOO!"

"SOMEONE SAVE ME!!!"

"AAAAHHH!!!"

Screams and cries of fear and agony reverberated throughout the entire restaurant.

Carnage and chaos were unfolding, as the guests, the staff, and even the owners of the restaurant, were mercilessly massacred.

Today was a special day for the restaurant.

It had been one year since the restaurant had been built, and the owners were celebrating by inviting a lot of rich and powerful people.

Furthermore, they also created an event to commemorate the anniversary of the opening of the restaurant.

It only let couples enter the restaurant, and they also prepared a lot of gifts and free food for the guests.

Even if you are single, you can still participate in the event, as long as you bring a girl or a boy, who would be your partner.

The owner had planned the event carefully.

They had hired a lot of waiters, and a lot of cooks.

And they had prepared a lot of food.

The plan was to attract the attention of a lot of people, and thus increase the reputation of the restaurant.

It was supposed to be a grand event, and it was supposed to be a very successful day.

But, their dream of having a big and prosperous event, was destroyed in an instant.

And the cause of it was...

"A Breakout! A BREAKOUT!"

"This can't be happening! This can't be real!! AHHHH!"

Just a few minutes ago, the air had begun to warp, and the space had begun to twist.

A black hole had suddenly appeared, and monsters had started coming out of it.

"GRRRRR..."

The monsters were hideous and grotesque, their skin was red, and their bodies were muscular.

Their hands were huge, and their fingers were sharp, like claws.

Scars of burns, cuts of blades, and bruises were visible on their bodies.

And their faces... their faces were twisted, deformed, and ugly.

They looked like humans who had suffered extreme torture, and they looked like demons who had gone mad.

The monsters didn't hesitate and immediately began slaughtering the people.

Their sharp claws tore apart the bodies of the helpless guests, their mouths bit down on the flesh and bone of the screaming staff, and their teeth gnawed at the heads and limbs of the crying owners.

"KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL!!!"

The monsters' screams were horrible, like a chorus of demons singing a song of death and destruction.

"GRRR!! GRRR!!! KILL!! KILL!!"

The screams of the monsters, the screams of the people, the screams of the owners, all blended together into a horrific symphony of carnage.

The screams, the cries, the pain, and the agony, it was a cacophony of horror.

But, even amidst the chaos, a single, cold, dark, and sadistic laugh echoed.

"HAHAHA!!"

In the middle of the battlefield, there stood a single man, laughing maniacally.

"Dark Zombies?" Nell muttered, his eyes gazing at the words which appeared in front of his eyes.

[Type: Undead Monster

Name: Dark Zombie

Level: 1

HP: 50

MP: 0

Attack: 30

Defense: 10

Agility: 15

Magic: 0

Skills: Claw Slash, Bite, Rage, Regeneration]

The window showed the information about the monster.

The level was only one, and their stats were average.

'These monsters are weak.' Nell thought as he watched the Dark Zombies rampaging through the restaurant, and slaughtering the people.

"But..." Nellas gazed at the humans who were being slaughtered, "...why aren't they attacking me?"

For some reason, the monsters weren't attacking him.

The breakout gate had appeared right in front of him, but the monsters were ignoring him and were attacking the other humans.

'Why is that?'

There were only a few theories he could think of.

Maybe, the monsters didn't see him as a threat and were only attracted to the screams of the humans.

Or maybe, they had sensed that he was not an ordinary human, and was one of their kind.

Regardless, the fact remained that the monsters were ignoring him.

'Whatever,'

Nell shrugged.

He wasn't sure why, but he didn't care.

He had no intention of fighting the monsters.

"I just need the boss monster."

He was here for a single reason, and that was to acquire the item.

'And, that's...'

Nellas's gaze fell upon the black hole in front of him.

The breakout gate was still swirling, and a lot of monsters were still coming out, one by one.

'...in there.'

His target was the boss monster, and the item that would drop from it.

'The Darkest Night...'

The name of the item, the name of the weapon, was enough to make Nell's blood boil.

'It will be very helpful for evolution.'

The Darkest Night was a weapon that was capable of increasing the user's power.

It was a dark, cursed weapon, and it was known for its ability to strengthen the user's body.

It was a powerful weapon, and it was a treasure that could only be found in the deepest part of the dungeon.

'And, today, I'm going to get it.'

He wasn't here to save the people, or to stop the monsters.

'I'm not a hero,' He thought, grinning evilly, 'I'm a villain.'

And, in his mind, villains didn't do good deeds.

Furthermore, everyone in the restaurant was a rich, spoiled brat, or a noble, so he didn't really care if they were killed.

'They can die, for all I care.'

It was true that, as a villain, he would kill without hesitation, but he would never go out of his way to save others.

'And, today, I'm only going to fight for one person, my future wife, whoever she is.'

So, with a dark and cruel smile on his face, he began walking towards the gate.

"Time for some looti-"

But before Nellas could enter the gate, he heard a voice shouting out to him.

"HEY, YOU! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?"

Nell turned his head and saw a woman, a beautiful, voluptuous woman, shouting at him.

She was on the ground and was crawling backward, her long blonde hair was disheveled, and her blue eyes were filled with rage.

"DO SOMETHING!" She yelled, pointing at the monsters.

Nell's gaze fell upon the woman's hand, and his eyes widened in surprise.

"That's..."

It was a golden bracelet, the sign of...

'Blonde hair, blue eyes, golden bracelet...'

'Isn't she the Divine Slayer's wife?'

Her appearance, her voice, her attitude, all matched with the information about her.

"HEY, YOU ARE A HERO, RIGHT? SAVE ME, I WILL GIVE YOU SO MUCH MONEY THAT YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING EVER AGAIN!"

The Woman continued to yell, her gaze fixed on the young man as a zombie continued to approach her.

She tried to back away, but the monster quickly caught up to her.

"S-stay away!"

She screamed, but the zombie ignored her. It raised its claws, preparing to attack her.

"P-please!! Please!! D-don't kill me!"

The woman begged, tears streaming down her face.

"S-save me!!"

Her pleas fell on deaf ears, and the zombie brought its claws down, slashing through the air.

"NOOO..."

However, right before the claws could touch the woman's skin, a hand grabbed the zombie's wrist.

"Sorry,"

Nell said, his grip tightening, and a cruel smile forming on his lips.

"She is mine."

Nell didn't know why the woman had come here, but it didn't matter.

What mattered was that she was here, and there was one thing he wanted to do with her.

"Wait for sec until I get what I want, okay?"

"Ge-" The woman was about to ask, but the sound of cracking bones interrupted her.

The zombie's wrist snapped, and the monster howled in pain.

"AHHHH!!"

With a quick and powerful motion, Nell broke the monster's wrist, and then, his fist collided with the zombie's face.

A loud crack resounded, and the zombie's head twisted to the side.

The monster's body flew across the room, crashing into the wall, and a large hole was formed.

The zombie's corpse slid down, its neck twisted at an awkward angle.

"Well then," Nell shifted his attention back to the woman, and a wicked grin spread across his face, "It's your turn."

He slowly walked toward the woman, and her expression changed from shock, to fear, and then, to anger.

"You bastard! Don't, this isn't what we agreed on! I am married, so, stop right there!" She yelled, her voice trembling, and her body shaking with terror.

However, Nell just ignored her and took out his phone from the pocket of his pants. After that, he clicked a picture of her.

"This will be enough."

Saying that Nell turned around and looked at the Zombie he had just sent flying.

"Hey, get up. I am done with her. You can kill her now."

"Ah!" The Zombie let out a low groan and with a cracking sound its neck got straightened.

It stood up and looked at the woman.

"Wait, what?!"

The woman's eyes widened in shock and her mouth opened in disbelief.

"Don't tell me you are a bad guy."

"It doesn't matter," Nell nodded, his eyes glinting dangerously, "Since, a person who has killed her whole family don't deserve to live."

"Wh- How did you-" The woman's voice trailed off, and her words were cut off by Nell's.

"Now then, I will just take what I want from the Dungeon, and you can kill her, or eat her, or whatever."

The Zombie gave him a nod, and then, it lunged forward.

"No, don't!"

The woman opened her mouth, but, her scream was cut short as the zombie reached her in an instant.

"AAAAAAAAAAH!!!!"

The zombie's claws dug deep into her abdomen, tearing apart her intestines and liver.

Blood splattered everywhere, staining the zombie's body, and covering the floor in crimson.

Her body was torn open, and her organs were ripped out of her.

Her corpse was a gory mess, and her lifeless eyes stared at nothing.

The zombie began feasting on her corpse, its jaws chomping and crunching on her flesh.

The sounds of bones being broken, and flesh being chewed echoed through the room, and the smell of blood filled the air.

Nellas just ignored it and went towards the gate.

'Well, now, let's find the boss monster.'

With a malicious smile on his face, he stepped into the gate, and the darkness engulfed him.
