Subsidary Realm: A brief Return

The search of the Ruins revealed nothing in regards to the changes of the Divine Family. A large caved-in hole where the additional room used to be. His Astral Sense not picking up a single thing. But the decrease in Demon Beasts had the Alchemists worried. Three of them left to report back to Glory City while 5 others continued with Yang Xin.

With the knowledge discovered from the previous refined people coupled with the Light stones, Shen Yue had access to another Teleportation Array. It was near the border of the Toxic Forest. Using it transported the group to the Abyss Prison Realm.

Astral Sense went out in several directions taking stock of those of strength and the location of a few items that triggered against his brushing. But the Astral Sense was not something the people of this Dimension were used to.

Appearing not to far from the trading town, which was his target overall. Which was run by the Divine Flames Family. Nie Li wouldn't come here for a few more months. If at all with the changes made by Shen Yue.

Shen Yue and Yang Xin currently were walking the streets of the market. She couldn't get over how the people were stronger for the most part but seemed to lack food. It was the opposite of Glory City.

"There it is." Shen Yue muttered lowly. He walked over to the old person looking at the trinket. It was a golden ball that had the Legendary Blizzard Spirit Gem inside. As one of the Nine Great Spirit Gems, it was a God Like item for all Snow Wind Attribute Demon Spiritualists. "How much?"

"Five bags of food." The old person said. Shen Yue did not waste time with the person and dropped five sacks. "Thank you!"

"Do you have any people in need of desperate Medical Attention?" Yang Xin just felt the living situation of the people was a pity. The old timer nodded. "Take us to them."

"I have some small matters to see to." Shen Yue instructed the 1st and 3rd Officer to go with. "Just in case you run into trouble." They didn't argue and went with. "Come with me, something needs to be done first."

"Yes sir." The 2nd Officer followed along happily. They stopped in an alley which was a weird matter since know one was detected. "Is everything ok sir?" The way he looked, caused the Officer to shudder.

"You are a woman.. why did you keep it hidden so long?" Shen Yue leaned against the wall staring at the officer. The means she used were pretty extreme to stay hidden. As in she cut her breasts off and had an artificial phallus created from demon beast parts. The technique she used to keep it viable were very troubling but more than enough to fool even his Astal Sense. "Do not trust the Dark Moon Family?"

"That is not it at all." The 2nd officer was prepared for this. But didn't think it would happen while they were out on an excursion. She thought more time was available. "How did you find out?"

"Blood work. I was running some tests on everyone and couldn't for the life of me understand why some readings were off. So I did other tests to check something out. Your chromosomes are off. This would not have been an issue because of the medicine I was going to prescribe would have an adverse effect only."

"I didn't want to lie but I didn't want to lose my position after the advancement."

"Eh, that was not in danger. Merit got you here. Plus the techniques used will help me adjust matters for future screening. If you share them of course. Sexual preferences are not my concern if it does not interfere with work." Shen Yue pulled out a few elixirs. "Stores these in your space ring and make sure you exchange out the supply in Medical Pouch II."

"That's it?" The 2nd Officer was shocked. She watched him fumble with the item he just acquired.

"Oh!" Shen Yue removed the Legendary Blizzard Spirit Gem out. Passing it over he stuck it in the center of the 2nd officer's chest. "This combined with the Metal Seed Technique will increase your strength pretty quickly. It fits with your Snow Wind Attribute."

"This power..." The 2nd officer started to tear up a little. But she steeled her resolve quickly. not time to be sentimental. "I will make sure to increase my efforts!"

"No problem." Shen Yue was about to walk out of the alley but she grabbed him. "Yeah?"

"Since it is ok for me to reveal I am a woman, any chance you can fix this area?" The 2nd officer pointed at her chest. And downward. "I think it would be a good prank to pull on the other officers later. Minus the phallus of course."

"Hmm, not a problem. Remind me to do so later. Keep the phallus, I am sure that will mess with them even more so." It would make for a funny joke and he needed a laugh.

*Woom!* The Connection to this Officer increased greatly. Almost up there with those he first Connected with. The invest already strong and defintely worth it.

The two left off to head back to work. The officer much happier than before and had to keep her face neutral while moving. Searching different areas for anything else before heading to the final destination.

Making it to the smithy was easy enough. Yang Xin accompanied by a few guards and the Black Tiger continued to help people after meeting up once or twice. The two officers that went with her, return to follow Shen Yue after deeming the place good enough.

The safety of the town overall was pretty decent.

The officers were looking around at the weapons the moment they entered, however.

"How much for the sword?" Shen Yue asked. His cultivation restrained to the Black Gold Rank 5. The fatty shopkeep didn't give him any trouble. Even more so after feeling the same from the guards with him. "Food, Medicine, or Herbs." He was stating what he had for trade.

"Soul Concentrating Pill, Soul Nourishing Pill, or .." Before the fatty continued he watched Shen Yue pulled out a sack of Soul Nourishing Pills. A total of 75 inside. ".. this.. this will do."

Shen Yue did not give him time to think. He opened the glass and grabbed the sword. Fire immediately wrapping around as it tried to rebel for a brief instance.

*Drip!* The sword melted down and was absorbed into his Metal Seed. The quality of the sword was pretty good. A few hums and Shen Yue could feel a change coming on for the technique. Insights could be drawn later though.

"Just like that.. it's gone." A few customers said. "Li Fu sure gets the weirdest customers."

"That sword was made from Black Blazing Gold.. it was unparalleled in sharpness, slices through metal like mud. It also contained a Scorching Blazing Crystal!" The fatty Li Fu exclaimed. "Sir.. are you an Alchemist or a Blacksmith by chance?"

"Yes to both." Shen Yue answered. "Looking for metals, you have some?"

"Of course I will round some up. Please, head to the upper floor while you wait." Li Fu said as he softly encourages Shen Yue to go up. "What a tough body you have." He was unable to push Shen Yue even an inch.

'I need to inform the master at once!' Li Fu moved away as Shen Yue accessed the next floor.

'Mostly nonsense here on this floor. The metal is even inferior.' Shen Yue spread his Astral Sense out as he walked around. Nothing got his attention or triggered on the third floor. Not even the weird little animals in a case. Exchanging for a few weapons he made due. Then walked to the other side. "Oh?"

He almost forgot about the Arcane Scrolls and the Attribute Daggers. Walking to the scrolls, he didn't want all of them. Only a single one was worth getting really. That is what his instincts told him anyway. Plus, he was not going to pay that abnormal price for them.

"Is sir Alchemist interested in the scrolls by chance?" A young man with black hair and a somewhat regal demeanor came over. The odds they would not run into this person was a problem. But not to much of one considering. From what the Officers reported, The Families in the Abyss Prison Realm were trying to figure out what happened to the Silver Wing Family. "I am Li Heng, a pleasure to meet someone so talented."

"Yes, I am interested in just the one." Shen Yue pointed at the one scroll that glowed to him. But by the looks of the scion of the Li family, nothing was going on. "How much for it?"

"These scrolls are indeed.."

"I do not care about the selling pitch. I just want the one." Shen Yue pointed to the one scroll not wanting to waste his time. "How much for the one?"

"Well, with it coming from the Age of Darkness, so the Demon Blood..." His selling stick was thrown off a bit by Shen Yue's abruptness. Considering he didn't want to offend the Alchemist, he treaded softly. "..so far know one has been able to use them.."

Shen Yue's eyes narrowed just a bit more. His anger was building. He hated greasy sales folk. His eyes spoke loudly, make an offer already!

"With know one able to use any of them, sell me the one." Shen Yue reached into his sleeve pulling out one of the Scarlet Ghost he modified. "How bout this for the one?"

Li Heng took the core and looked it over. The dancing flames inside gave him a fret as well as the intense look of hatred from the spirit inside. It did die painfully along with several others of its kind after all.

The strength was enhanced by the Flame Vortex Core energy. It was at the Semi-Legendary Realm. Just enough to entice for trades but not to make overly so to the point they would hunt him down for it.

"Yes.. this will do nicely." Stashing it away before anyone came around, the one scroll was handed over. He followed along as Shen Yue walked away to another location. 'I wonder what else he has to trade?'

Shen Yue stopped by the Attributless Daggers. They were made from Divine Crystals. He looked at only two of them. The one of Flame reacted to him. And another reacted to him but didn't reveal what it was. The third was left completely alone.

"How much for the two daggers?" Shen Yue gave him the same look as previously. "I know they are old and most likely know one has been able to activate them. So make me.. an.. offer."

"This.. ummm.. how about a pill that can bring one back from the dead?" Li Heng said in gest. He could still feel the tingling from the Demon Core previously. Seeing a bottle get pulled out he almost had a heart attack. "Gulp.. what.. what is this?"

"A pill that can bring one back from the dead. But it only lasts like.. 7 minutes. Or maybe 6 minutes." Shen Yue passed it over. "The test subjects were all Demon Beasts so I have know idea how it will work on Demon Spiritualists."

It was after all a test he did using his Star Energy in a Life-Preserving pill. Everything tends to work for like 6 minutes or so like he sid. Then... well the Demon Beast then blew up.

They made the trade. Shen Yue circled around the place making small talk with Li Heng. Not giving any real information about himself. After the final purchase, Shen Yue left with the Officers having purchased a few weapons and armors for others.

The Daggers spun inside his Internal Space. One was the Scarlet Flames and the other was the Scarlet Chill. Which meant the one left was the Scarlet Void. The Arcane Scroll was tossed into the Flame Vortex Core.

The group finding a place to stay for the night afterward.
