123 Feathers Sect Passing through Part 15 Farewell Divine Feathers Sect!

Everyone in the Gu Clan gathered around an arena to see what would happen. The wager that Gu Lan agreed to was absurd to most of them to even hear spoken. The fact it was proposed by Gu Bei made the situation even more questionable.

Gu Lan would fight 3 matches to prove she was cured by her teachers and it wasn't for show. If she lost, the young woman would have to return to the Gu Clan and apologize to her ancestors and behave.

If she won, the Elders and the Patriarch would have to apologize to her for failing to protect her and execute the one behind the poisoning all those years ago. Not to mention the funds and resources they would have pay back that were stolen.

"Gu Kuan, go and spar with the young miss." Gu Heng voiced. The Elders just sat back and watch to make sure nothing underhanded took place. Of course full of himself, he sent a secret order to Gu Kuan as well. 'If you can, break her back to cripple her once more!'

"Yes!" Gu Kuan was a tall muscular individual. The bloodline f the Gu Clan was strong in him but the influence of people like Gu Heng already did more damage than he was worth. Flipping into the arena, the first shock came when staring at Gu Lan who was already there. "When.. when did you move!?"

As silent as the night, Gu Lan used a simple movement technique to enter the ring. Her arms folded under her bosom. He was not worth drawing her sword at all.

He received no answer of course.

"Gu Lan, it is not to late to give up. I do not want to draw the ire of our clansmen by hurting you." In response, his opponent closed her eyes taking a simple breath. "I gave you a chance, today I'll represent the Family and teach you a lesson!"

*Tuff!* With a charge, he shot forward to do as instructed.

"Iron Back Eagle, give me your power!" Changing with his Demon Spirit, he landed right in front of Gu Lan then pivoted with a hook strike. The talons from the demon beast shined in the moonlight. "To easy!"

"Gu Kuan didn't hold back at all, it seems Gu Lan may be crippled once more." Gu Ya sighed at the thought. At most he wanted her to be taught a lesson and bring her back to mend the damage that was done. "Hum!?"

"Shred." Gu Lan uttered simply. Her Spirit Energy erupted outward like a Hurricane of Wind. "You were right.. to easy."

She watched as her opponent was carved up in seconds while getting sent out the arena. His clothing, the feathers from the demonic spirit transformation, his entire being was not safe.

*Splurt!* Landing out of the arena, Gu Kuan flesh spurted out everywhere. While it still bloomed out, the blood was cut up into nothing. The Hurricane dissipated after a minutre.

"Send the next one up, make sure not to embarrass the Gu Clan with a weakling like this." Gu Lan's sharp words were directed directly at Gu Heng when she spoke. "Hurry up!"

The quiet, peaceful young woman was still there but right now, she just wanted to vent her anger and frustration over the years.

Among the shock, Long Yuyin stood next to Shen Yue smiling.

"I could not tell how much strength she really exuded or the technique used." The 1st Elder eyes were open wide in shock. "With just the use of Spirit Energy, she took him down.. how fascinating."

"Uh..." Gu Heng had an ugly look on his face. Thinking if the elders are made to reveal everything and apologize he would defintely lose his life. "Gu Yun, you go up."

Gu Yun was quite strong member of the clan. Having crossed into the 2-Heavenly Fate Realm thanks to the auction before, his confidence was a lot higher than before.

Landing in the arena, he kept a good distance at first.

"I never expected the cripple princess that left would return back so strong." Walking back and forth like a hyena looking at its next meal, his confidence pushed him to be a little reckless. "You still have some ability after recovering a little it seems. But you have no chance of beating me!"

Gu Lan remains in place not opening her eyes. She took a deep breath and held it. Agitated, Gu Yun shot forward to teach her a lesson. Arm raised, it ignited in dense red Heavenly Energy.

"My Breath is a Sword." Gu Lan muttered, the air swirled as several swords appeared. "You can not stand against it." Once he was in 5 feet, it was over.

"Ughh!" Gu Yun cried out as his vision went dark. Limbs went flying in every direction from the Sword Breath. Barely saved from having his head removed, it was a fate worse than losing a Fatre Star and dropping in cultivation.

"Gu Yun!" A member of the Gu clan ran out to collect the remains and trying to stabilize him. "How could you.." Looking up to chastise Gu Lan, they were treated to her eyes still closed and her movements not having changed. "..grr!"

It was clear she did not put her opponents in her eyes. Literally only using simple moves to her. The fact she used Spiritual Energy which was lower than Heavenly Energy kept most from voicing complaints.

"The Gu Clan, has fallen so far. No wonder they have to poison young genius to control who remains in power." Shen Yue said stoically. His voice reached everyone in range. Not to mention those who listen above in hiding. "Such a wondrous clan, I can only imagine how many "good" cultivators were taken out here while exploring?"

"The Skyblaze Sect Ambassador should be careful of his words," The Patriarch voiced angered. The Elders did not like the voiced words either. The younger generation were all ears however and a few grumbled about what happened with them. "My Gu Clan is not easily bullied."

Bullied by Gu Heng and others was not uncommon. None of the youngsters said this of course out of fear of retaliation.

"To think Gu Lan has been increasing her Sword Intent this entire time." The 1st Elder said while stroking his beard. "The situation in the past was handled really badly... haa..."

A few of the other elders had the same feeling but did not change their stance just yet. Meanwhile, Gu Heng was fuming in rage.

'Her Sword Intent is so monstrous!' Not having given her treatment any real consideration, he thought she would be at best a Peak Heavenly Fate Realm. 'I overlook her skill with the sword!'

Gu Lan was already a prodigy with the sword beforehand, with her instructing Gu Bei before receiving treatment by Shen Yue she was already ahead of her peers.

"Her Sword Work is stronger than mine!" Long Yuyin pouted a little.

"Hehe, but your better with Fists and Legs, so.. don't be greedy." He couldn't help but chuckle at the battle maniac. "There is time to develop it further later. I have a more dominating Sword style I think you will like."

"Really!" With stars in her eyes, she gripped his arms excitedly. "Let's go for I can start!"

As Shen Yue calmed her down further, Gu Lan waited for her next opponent to take out. Her Spiritual Energy reserves were still high and she had no need to start using Heavenly energy to deal with anyone.

Another member who benefited from the auction. Gu Bing did better than most and had risen to a 5-Fate Heavenly Realm cultivator.

"Gu Bing, be careful." The Patriarch voiced. This suprised most with the warning. 'If not for this Skyblaze Ambassador, I could have intervened already in this fiasco. Why has the Divine Feathers Sect not done anything?'

The Patriarch was held in check by Shen Yue Heart Method and exuded pressure on most of them that tried to act. As for the Divine Feathers Sect members watching from afar, they didn't interfere because of the Gu Clan overstepped in several avenues in how they handled things already.

That with them dealing with the Ashen Flames Family and the Dragonseal Family problems. The elders were shown very much how little control they had over their Sect and the Big Families within it.

"Your strength has surpassed all of our expectations, I will not make the mistake the others have." Tossing his shirt to the side, he integrated with his Demon Spirit. The Scarlet-Titanic Flame Bear with a God-level growth rate.

Looking more like a bear than a man besides the pants and shoes, the flames emitted warped the arena. Eyes focused on the woman in front of him, Gu Bing did not move.

Instincts heightened alerting to the danger in front of him.

"What.. is this!?" Stepping back in fear, his eyes could see the images of several swords floating around. "An Array! You built a Sword Array without moving!"

The crowd went wild with cheers for Gu Lan. To build an Array without anyone noticing was quite a feat. Even more so by doing so with only her energy.

On closer look, the path her Sword Hurricane passed had several marks on the ground that became visible when one focused. Dust and debris were placed in key locations to power the Array.

"Don't give her time to activate the Array fool!" Gu Heng shouted through the crowd. "Finish her now!"

It was a bad order to give.

Gu Bing shot forward ready to pounce. Two flaming paws came down but were stopped in the air. A barrier of swords made of energy pushed back. Unbalancing his stance.

"I still need practice with this one." Gu Lan muttered before opening her eyes fully. The screamed as it was diced apart. The protection of the arena was shredded under her gaze. "But good enough to deal with you. Leave the arena or die."

It was the only offer she would give him.

It was ignored.

"Very well then..." Grabbing her sword was all that was needed. "..Close!" A simple order.

*Woosh!* A giant sword appeared above. A hand reached out with the same movements as Gu Lan's. The Sword pressure started to cut against the buildings and some of the elders.

In the blink of an eye, the 1st Elder jumped in the arena saving Gu Bing from death.

"Ugh!" Retreating, the elder had several cuts along his arms and received damage to his cultivation base. 'She attacked the Soul Realm itself! What kind of training has she done!' Fearful, he finally got a taste and feel of what her cultivation was at but dare not mutter it. 'Dao of the Dragon Realm... what a monstrous talent!'

It was a brief slip but nothing she cared about to much. Gu Lan stopped her attack and stared at the Patriarch. Waiting for them to admit their crimes to the Clan.

Each of the Elders stood up behind the Patriarch, Gu Tianlong to see what he would do. The needed to have a meeting to discuss this more in debt to keep secrets from getting revealed but most of the dirty laundry was out.

"Gu Lan..." The Patriarch's face was pained but he had to think of the clan. ".. your decision to leave the clan is accepted if that is still what you desire. As for the other matter.. I promise to look into it further. For the trouble caused, Gu Bei..."

"Hmm!?" Gu Lan turned to her brother in shock. 'What is going on?!'

"Yes Patriarch!" Gu Bei paid respects.

"Your insights and judgment are correct. The outcome was more than what you stated. I announce you will be the first in line successor with Gu Heng as the second in line successor." The Patriarch hoped this would help keep Gu Lan in the clan. Her value had skyrocketed after this display.

"Gu Bei..." A few of the clansmen were suprised. But a few made assumptions. "..he has been learning from her all this time."

"With his sister this strong, no way is he slacking." A few looked to Gu Bei who changed over the last few months. "Who knew the playboy had it in him!"

It was quiet between the two siblings for a moment. Gu Bei figured she would be happy they had a place in the clan once more and the clan knew more of what happened. Nothing was done yet but the Patriarch said in front of everyone something would be done.

*Smack!* A hit echoed in the area. Gu Lan open smacked her brother in front of everyone. The look of betrayal was quite evident on her face with fresh tears coming down.

"You made your decision to stay, try not to die in the process." Her emotions were out of control as she moved toward Shen Yue and Long Yuyin. "I refuse to stay with these backstabbers and liars!"

A few members of the Gu Clan, those she trusted were less than 10 people moved to join her. She could not have survived the Gu Clan without them and made sure they knew beforehand today was it.

"Well now... time to go." Shen Yue circulated the Heart Method once more before taking all of them and vanishing in a flash of lighting.

Gu Heng stared at Gu Bei with a sinister gaze. Without his sister, it would be much easier to deal with him coming back.
