2 FFT 1 Akademy Causing Trouble

Everyone started to get riled up with the fool now. Chaotic energy strands flowed around freely. Most were just little whispers of fear that turned into anger in the wrong direction and at the wrong foe.

Luther absorbed all the natural magical energy that was produced after he stoked the flames. It was time to set things right and allow the squires to reflect on what happened in the last few minutes. Quite a few words were said during this.

With a signal of his hand, one of his squad members stepped forward to stop this. This was the only female in the group. "Mage" was her name informally. She moved with purpose towards the ringleader.

"Enough you blow hard." Mage said with a little humor in her voice. Any time when she dealt with a Noble, she always found herself laughing. Almost to much to keep it in check. "You are way passed just causing a small riot. Almost close to..."

"What do you know wench?" The older squire said to her. "Get down and on your knees were you belong. Hahaha... bet your just the daughter of some nursemaid!" The arrogance from the squire was definitely inherited from his position.

"Why you dirty little..." Mage grumbled looking at him. "I will beat the tar out of daddy's girl like you." She pulled out her dagger and was getting ready to teach the squire a lesson he would never forget. 'Just a little cut to the nether region will help reduce his bloodline!'

"Who do you think you are talking to?" The older squire barked back. His cheeks were flushed red with anger. "I will.." A blur moved through most of them to interrupt things. "Ahhh!"

"You will do what?" Luther questioned pinning the old squires arm behind him. He lifted him up with ease into the air. "Aren't Nobles like yourself suppose to be better than this? Not suppose to cause us a scene and handle things like this peacefully."

Luther was enjoying this more than he let on. The Chaos energy in the area picked up a ton from his words. A few of the good Nobles staring at the other that was held up in anger. They needed someone to blame and he fit the bill just right.

" Working her in the Akademy is not really helping much anymore. Cannot change the minds of the foolish." Luther was conveying his future intent to leave the Order at this time. Which would cause a lot of the Squires to determine if they would even stay. "I am starting to think that would be a waste of time to help here. Killing scum like you is a better idea. Removing the bad apples from the Akadem. What do you think?"

A few murmurs could be heard. A lot of the squires of different classes wanted to leave as awell. No point in staying in a dying place. Gariland had started turning to shit since the passing of the previous Lord a few years ago.

"I..I will.. ahhh." The older squire groaned in pain. More embarrassed than anything. "My father won't.. he won't stand for this!"

Luther passed a glance over the crowd causing them to focus on him. "I.. will let him go. Just this once." He voice came out calmly but with authority. Laced with magical energy, it moved about the room. He threw the man to the fireplace. Angling just enough for the cape to catch fire and go up in flames. "Tell them all that you have to say and be done with it Mage. If they can't understand, then so be it."

"You got it, Captain." Mage smiled and raised her hands catching everyones attention. "Commoners and/or peasants are not livestock to be slaughtered. If you truly think that, take off that uniform, you are undeserving of it!" She watched as they looked around at each other. "We make up the majority of the world. We are smart, we are strong, we can fight and lead with the best of them."

"Yeah, your right." The crowd started to grumble. "We can do anything that they can do." More people joined in voicing their approval.

*Swirl!* A large amount of Chaos swirled in the room once more.

Mage continued for a little more. A few people understand what was going on but some didn't. The lack of education crushing them in that regard. Luther was thinking about the last time they were here and what they managed to change in the Akademy.

They wouldn't waste there time to much with the Order this time. Enough contractees were formed already. Provisional Contracts and Full contracts at the ready. The squires gathered around cheering and chiming in.

A few of the Blue Bloods backing away. Some moving towards a few Commoners they became friends with, some just making to leave. Going to tell the few people they could about a situation like this. Luther allowed this to go a little more before it was enough.

"OK Mafe, that is enough." She nodded and moved back down and to the side. Luther's magic sense picked something up. 'Oh, it is close to that time.'

"So, the "peasant king" decides to speak finally. Finally making your move to start a revolt! This is all you have to say, pitiful brat." The older blue blood Commander mockingly talked to Luther. He looks around and saw the faces of the cadets in the room. "Well, what say you rabble?! Looking to commit treason."

The group actually took a step forward at the commander. Unafraid and unimpressed at his declaration. Despite most of them being barely older than 13, they remembered the pain of their older siblings and family members at the end of the 50 Year War.

How they were screwed over, but people like this lost nothing. The squires were out for blood. Just needs something to tip the scales a little.

"Alright, this is just a blowhard who doesn't know any better. He is old and not the good kind that is wise. Just another bastard born prat, a coward during the war and a coward now. He doesn't care about anything but lining up his pockets and keeping you all down." Luther said with conviction. He did serve at the end of the 50 year war. It helped cement what he needed to move about for Apophis desires for Death. "Leave the Order if a fool like this is in charge before it gets you killed. Before the useless blue blood gets you killed. You know from studying who you can trust, who is worth a damn!"

Archer had walked over and helped the young messenger up. Luther spit over his shoulder and started to walk away. Stopping at the young messenger he said calmly, "everyone is just rattled from what's going on. No need to be alarmed, but do yourself a favor and get away from this place. for a time" He dropped a few golds in the boy's hands and left.

The messenger looked down and starts to grab his scattered papers and mumbles, "you need not to concern yourself with me, Knight Captain it is fine." He looks up with a strained smile while nodding his head. Only catching the end of the cape of the last squad member in Luther's group. 'They move so fast! I need to pass the rest of the messages along!'

In a dash, the squire ran out of the room. Supringsly enough, most of the tension left with Luther and the majority of his squad. Mage stood back talking with a few squires. They all came from the Free City of Bervenia. Far from home.

"When you get the chance, thank him for pushing them towards the right people. It will work in your favor in the future. Did you get a look at the paperwork during all of that? Any new information to help exploit for the future?" The young squire ask under her breath but quickly.

"I got a good luck. Will leave it in the usual spot." Mage said. Looking over her shoulder, she spotted the old commander causing some trouble again. "That bastard just won't quit."

"Oi, you coward turn and face me. Do not think you can just disrespect me and walk away as if nothing happened." The older commander says as he walks from the front. He just finished talking to the others about what to do.

A few squires would make their move on the road to try to punish those naysayers. Such dirty tricks, but usually effective.

Seeing the old commander getting ready to deliver orders to another squad, Mage couldn't help herself. Breaking away from her countrymen who took that as a cue to leave.

"Huh!?" The orders were snatched from his hands and "burned" away.

Mage intercepted him with a blatant disregard for procedure. "You really don't wanna do this old Commander." Her voice came out disdainfully. "You should just try worrying about yourself and your team before trying to "take care" of others. Or hey, just a thought... use your power to help direct attention to the monsters that are wreaking havoc. Help stop the church from exploiting us!"

The old commander looked away for a bit. Very aware of the talks about the church meeting with nobles in various places late at night. And members of the populace disappearing as well. A few of his people were not privy to that info of course.

Seeing the wavering look in the old commander, the old squire that caused trouble early kicked up to stir some trouble again.

"Dont listen to her sir." The old squire felt bold and believed he could stop this and earn some respect from his previous shame. "Let me deal with this.. girl sir." The old commander just gave a nod of approval, not really wanting to agree but not wanting to deal with the old squires father.

"Heh!" The older squire lunged at Mage.

She was ready and waiting for him. Dealing with the strike with ease with the wristguard.

*Skkrr!* The blade sent sparks flying as it hit against a few metal buttons.

'Now this is a good time to hone my skills and try groing a little bit.' Mage was already a Monk job wise currently. But most of her support and attack was that of a Black Mage, White Mage, and a Time Mage. 'Some experience is better than known anyway.'

For every blow from the old squire, she gave a hard parried with her left. On the last strike, he pulled the sword back to far. "Draw your sword, and fight me seriously woman." He then fixed his stance. He started to calm himself and drew magic around.

A slight prickle passed over Mage. Luther sent a magic transmission to her. He was very aware of the figh taking place. Despite far away from the room and area for that matter. The order was clear, do not get killed. But make sure she let them know she was strong.

Mage cheered mentally and smashed her fist togethor. A flash of lightning appeared around the metal buttons on her gloves.

"Oh, a monk eh. Your just full of surprises!" The old squire charged at her. The magic was that of a time mage. He was speeding himself up. Using the spell Haste.

Dodging to the left, his sword went past her right side. Barely even scratching her clothes. Steeping back over to the side, Mage brought her left fist to the front. With a snap of her wrist, the sword warbled.

*Ting!* The sword gave a hum in the hall before getting stuck in the stone.

*Thunk!* Mage brought her foot down and snapped it. Taking the opportunity of the old squire getting surprised, her other fist came up in a straight jab. She used the move Aurablast.

A blow made of energy traveled the short distance making a perfect contact.

*Boom!* The blow hit the old squire so hard in the chest, that spit left his mouth.

*Crack!* His sternum audibly cracked next.

"Kuff, kuff," the old squire fell to his knees as Mage stepped back.

"How weak." She scoffed and moved away. The old squire's squadmate moved to strike her in the back.

"Treacherous snake!" Ramza said in a shout. He may have shouted but he made no move to get involved. Mage tensed her muscles getting ready. "Woah?!" He was shocked at what happened next.

*Ting!* The contact of Mage's gloves hitting his sword echoed in the hall. She did Cyclone Fist to ward off any incoming attacks. The sword held against the spinning blow.

"Ugh!" The other squire stepped away. He looked slightly shaken from the impact but would not be deterred. Seeing the small blue glow around Mage's wrist, he gave his all into the next strike. "I won't lose to a cur like you.

Mage brought her arms in close and got ready. She then delivered a multitude of punches forward. Using the move Pummel hoping to do enough damage.

*Whack!* One hit the hand of the squire. The next two hit just right as the sword dropped from the last hit.

*Ting, ting!* It fell to the floor in a clatter.

Sidestepping around with the tip of her toes, Mage came around the side and punched the squire right in the gut. He dropped like a sack of potatoes. Before he touched the floor, Mage grabbed his legs and swung him into the fireplace.
