Dimension Collapses are bad, the various Pantheons agree upon that. However, Champions are needed to specifically divvy out punishment on those who seek to start and those who try to accelerate Dimensional Collapses. To raise these Champions that hunt those types specifically, the Pantheons go about making Dark Champions. The process takes a lot longer than normal Champion, and most take their own lives before finishing. From the Egyptian Pantheon, the God (Apep) Apophis has made his move. He plucked a Human from Earth and sent them to do his new work. Only time will tell if the young man will make it or not.
