24 Mystery

Having a meeting with Dean Mark the next day caused Hex and our crew to meet at my residence to communicate through a magic projection. "So, any new information?" Dean inquired.

"Having just been here for a day, you're asking for an update." Bryce snarled. Bryce was in the crosshairs of Dean's stare.

"I have something to share with you, Dean." I was the center of attention.

"It's just been a day since you've been in the human world, and Bryce, Aria has gotten something completely different from you," Dean commented. I let out a sigh as Bryce, who was staring at me together with Eva, glared at me. "My next-door neighbor Aiya informed me the other day that a female who lived in this flat before me had vanished and been discovered dead. So I began researching the human government system. I identified venom in her designs and found images of the corpse with a weird marking. Could you allow me to show a picture of my laptop here? "

The markings on her body appeared in a V. This is how the aliens mark their victims, and I know Vrerciks is the species responsible for this practice. However, I did not mention the name of this species aloud because I wanted other people to figure it out on their own. Colton's eyes met mine, and he understood. My team's gaze met me one by one, and they all knew that the markings were from Vrercik.

The Hex team stared at us in bewilderment, unable to comprehend what I was attempting to convey. Then, finally, my eyes met Dean Mark, who smiled proudly at me as he gazed at me. "Have you comprehended what Aria meant, Bryce?" Colton inquired with a cocky grin, his lips quivering. "Just tell us what's going on already." He was snarling.

"The Vrerciks aliens make these markings. Stop slacking off, Bryce. You and your squad must move quickly to gather data." Bryce's fists clenched in a fist in response to Hudson's question.

"Bryce, Will you please relax?" Arne said that he is a member of the Hex team.

"Are you implying I should keep my lips shut when insults are hurled at our team and me?" Bryce said to Arne.

"Now that we've gotten off to a good start," I said, speaking to Dean and ignoring Bryce's whining. "I'm going to get the additional information and see if other missing person cases are comparable to this one." Dean gives the nod.

And such concludes the conference. "You Bitch." Bryce cursed at me. Within a single blink of an eye, Hudson landed a blow across Bryce's face.

"If you say another thing about Aria, you'll be kicked out of the Noble club because you know who I am, don't" you? Punches rained down on him until Colton and Arne intervened and ended the fight.

"Enough, Hudson; we're going to work as a team. We can't make them our enemy." Bryce's face was swollen and bruised, while Hudson had minor scrapes and bruises. "Leave, Hex team," Xavier stated in a chilly tone, and the group marched out with frowns. Maggie glared at Eva, who mumbled something to herself as she went.

"These people are such a pain in the arse." Maggie sighed.

"A job well done, Aria. How come you didn't tell me last night when we went out to dinner?" Colton inquired, and Hudson and Xavier gazed at us, and Maggie saw the cause with curiosity, and she smiled at me with a teasing grin, as she usually did.

"I didn't want to interrupt what we were saying about your brother." Colton's eyes quivered with emotion, but I could not decipher. "Had the two of you gone out on a date?" Maggie inquired in excitement. We both looked away from each other at Maggie's voice.

"No, Maggie. Don't make assumptions." Colton stated quietly, and Maggie's expression fell. Neither Xavier nor Hudson's eyes were filled with emotion.

"Come on, you people, get out of my place. I need to prepare breakfast for myself before leaving for work." But, of course, they refused to leave my room when I tried to get them out. So I went behind the kitchen and cooked some scrambled eggs, toasted bread, and some stakes for everyone, and it made me feel so good to see everyone enjoying their food and laughing.

"Get to work, you guys!" I yelled. I packed my uniform in my bag.

"Work is uninteresting to me," Maggie complained, and I sighed.

"Come on, don't be a slacker." While Colton, Hudson, and Xavier had already departed, Maggie stayed behind since she didn't want to go to her job. Once her male coworkers had all left the room, Maggie sat bolt-upright on the sofa, her eyes wide with wonder.

"What's going on, Aria? Are you attempting to seduce all of our teammates?" Maggie inquired, and I chastised her while I got ready for work. "I'd want to tell you something." Maggie's eyes were fixed on me, and I couldn't help but stare at her. "I kissed Xavier. Please don't tell anybody about it; I don't want things to be awkward around, and" Maggie's pupils dilate in surprise.

"What, you kissed Xavier," Maggie yelled in excitement.

"Maggie, I am a bit confused by the emotion. Please help me.

Do you know Hudson presented me with this?" I held out the jewelry of the black pearl I was wearing.

"God, woman, that is why I saw Xavier and Hudson jealous when you talked to Colton, who also has a soft place for you," the voice in my head said. Her words caused my eyes to widen.

"It's not possible that they're drawn to me." Then, after I finished speaking, I realized what Hudson meant when he referred to me as  dense. "No... This... I" I sputter in disbelief, and Maggie shakes her head at my realization.

"Maggie…. But... I've never been in a meaningful relationship, which will make things difficult for the team." I stutteringly said it overwhelmed me, the prospect of three of them having emotions for me. "Maggie, this is a lie."

"Come on, Aria, isn't it apparent that Xavier announced you as his girlfriend? He could have chosen anybody, but why you?" Maggie said, and I believed she was correct. "Why would Hudson beat Bryce for bad-mouthing you and give you the jewelry that is only the Royal Treasury of Vampires?" I fidget with the bracelet. "And Colton has an icy heart and takes nobody out for dinner. Please take care of yourself. "Maggie's explanation convinced me they were true.

"Maggie, I don't sure how I feel about it." I am constantly twiddling my fingers. "My heart races for three of them, and it's not a healthy thing... I." Maggie groaned aloud, "Aria, you did not know your species' past."

"No," The book appeared in Maggie's hands after she summoned it with magic. "Read this; it's about your species and how they lived and battled." I grabbed the book and saw the title Rare and its magical elements. "You'll understand after you've read it." I gave her a puzzled look, explaining that this book had helped me overcome the problem of my attraction to three people at the same time. Maggie grinned over her shoulder. "You're running late, Aria, so don't worry too much about the three handsome men." I blushed because of her statements.

I set the book down and looked up in time to see Aiya walking out the door to go to work. As we ride on public transportation, we chat about my baking and recipes for the journey. During the day, however, nothing particularly noteworthy occurred, and Aiya had to see her mother, so it forced me to go by myself. I sensed energy when I sat on the bus. I activated the warning mode, but the faint vanished.

I continued attempting to gain any magic, but it couldn't be the road that the bus passed from as the Aline in that neighborhood, and I urged the driver to halt the bus. As I got down and went backward from the past, I felt my vitality return after just a few minutes.

And as I glanced across the crowd, I saw Dan wandering free and alone. I quickly connect with Colton. "Colton, I discovered Dan on Dawn Street."

"I'm on my way right now." It wasn't long before Colton found me because of his magical powers, which allowed him to teleport and find me. Although Colton's eyes widened in surprise, I had to stop him because I wanted to see where Dan was heading. However, Dan swiftly turned to Alley. Colton yelled, "Dan, wait." We ran behind Dan, and he halted in the Alley.

"Colton, what exactly are you doing here?" Dan turned with icy eyes, and Colton looked astonished, as did I when I saw his human shape transform into the Alien form.
