Chapter 54: Plan

Lina's POV

I was awoken by our cage's door opening and something was thrown harshly into the cell making me and Rachel jump away from it.

"What's that?" Rachel asked as we sat in the dark unable to distinguish what was in the cage with us.

"I don't know." I answered a little scared.

We stayed quiet for some time and observed that it was not moving.

"Do you think it's an animal?" I whispered to Rachel.

"I don't know." She replied so I decided to find out myself.

I stretched out my leg and kicked its side, thanks to Xavier who had untied our ropes, before retracting it real quick and hearing it groan but remained motionless.

"Are you trying to get us killed?" Rachel whisper-yelled.

"I'm sorry." I whispered before we turned back to the motionless creature in front of us.

We started calming down a little after almost ten minutes of the creature lying down but then it started to move and groan.
