Alexander POV

"Hey mom." I greeted normally as I answered my phone.

"Alex, your father, Thomas is in the hospital. He is dying." She said urgently.

"Please you need to come we are at St. Bernadette hospital." She pleaded.

I felt numb as I moved my phone from my ear only to feel my hand tremble.

"Al." I heard a far away voice call but I was too numb to do anything. I was startled when I felt a hand on my arm and I looked up to see Lina and for a moment I thought it was all a nightmare.

"What's wrong?" She asked with her voice dripping with concern.

"H-he..." I stuttered and felt her hands on my cheeks.

"Hey, hey." She said making me look at her.

"Look at me." She ordered and I felt myself calm down as I stared at her.

"What happened?" She asked softly.

"My father." I took a deep breath "He is dying." I told and saw her eyes widen.

"I-I need to go." I told and felt my hand tremble again.
