Chapter 8: The Boss Room

Licht was in front of the gigantic door, and later slowly opened as if it's waiting for Licht's arrival.

'There's no backing off, I need to face whatever awaits me'

Thus Licht entered the Room, passing the door—

After the notification, the door suddenly closed on it's own. The room is too dark, untill the torches inside the room suddenly lighted.

As soon as Licht's vicinity got brightened,

Suddenly, something enormous like a giant log charged at him out of nowhere.

Surprised, Licht kicked off the ground and successfully evaded it.

*Sliiiide*

The thing the charged at him is not a Log, but a gigantic monster with a snake-like apearance.

『 Notify! Double Fanged Dragon-Snake.< Barak> has appeared 』

Licht gulped as he analyze his enemy.

A dark-colored scales on its body glistened; seems hard as steel.

Aside from scales covered it's whole body, Barak also own a tiny horns from the center of its head and spikes that aligned from it's head to tail.

As Licht prepared his claws, Barak seemed recognized Licht as it's prey and charged towards him with an explosive speed.

' It's fast'

Lich narrowed his eyes.

Despite Licht speed, the only thing he can see is the blurry figure of Barak charging at him.

As Barak expanded it's jaws wide and came at him, Licht used the strength of his legs to stomp the ground and used the force to reinforce his speed evading.

*Swooosshh*

Licht successfully evaded Barak's jaw, but Barak's followed its attack using it's spiky tail and attacked while Licht in mid air.

" *Gasp* Crap!!!!"

Licht doesn't have any opportunity to avoid the incoming attack, thus he crossed his arms to stand as his shield.

" *BaaaAM!!* "

Licht blocked it's tail but it's force is too strong resulting it to blew Licht's body and pinned him in the wall.

However, Licht barely felt a pain, thanks to his ultra-speed regeneration.

" Strong. Aside it's enormous strength, it also possessed an incredible speed despite it's gigantic size"

Licht murmured as he recover his sunken body from the wall.

"As espected from a BOSS Class, it's entirely different level"

Licht stated as he stretched his limbs as if warming up. Licht doesn't feel any fear thronging in his body. In contrary, he's brimming in excitement, to face such a monster, not in game...but in real battle.

" Let's try this one then...〈 Raging Tempest 〉"

With his chant, Licht's body got engulfed with elemental wind, enhancing his speed in all aspects.

" *sliiide* "

Seeing Licht undamaged figure, Barak charged at Licht again with the same explosive speed.

However, In Licht's perspective, Barak's previously blurry form appeared clearer in his eyes. This was one of the effects 〈 Raging Tempest 〉

As Barak charged at him with it's jaws opened, Licht used his Razor-sharped claws and strucked into Barak's head.

" *Clang!!!* "

"Tch. Too hard"

Licht clicked tongue. Barak's scale is too hard that even his sharp claws failed to cause a damage.

Meanwhile, Barak coiled around as if it's surprised by Licht's strike. But before Barak can prepare for another attack, this time, Licht charged against the snake leaving it no chance to react.

" *Clang* "

Licht aimed only at Barak's head, which covered by thick scale.

" Let's see how hard your scale is "

This time, Licht used Raging Tempest to solely enhance his both hands embodied with his claws. With this, Licht attacked will increase as he used 〈Body Strengthening 〉simultaneously.

Licht aimed only Barak's head, unlike earlier, Barak seems to felt Licht attacks.

Barak swiveled it's body to protect his head, but Licht twisted his body to dodge it's attack. At the same time, Licht maneuvered himself behind the Barak's head and grab it with his both arms as he stabbed Barak using his claws.

Licht felt the disappearance of Barak's scale on it's head, and Licht didn't waste any second and hardly pricked it's head using his claws.

Barak thrashed and struggled in pain, but Licht tightened his grip and continually sink his claws.

And then—

With sickening sound, Licht crashed Barak's skull reaching it's brain.

Licht noticed that he didn't received magic stones, but the rewards and xp are enough to paid off his effort to dispose one snake.

Licht answered with a firm tone.
