23 Chapter 22: Denatus & Alias's
Once I finished leveling up and getting my new status sheet I headed downstairs to where the others were waiting.
"So, who wants to go next?" I asked them.
"Me." Gaul said.
As he did so I shook my head.
"Gaul, my friend. Haven't you ever heard the saying ladies first?" I asked him. "Wouldn't it be better to let your sister, Ryuu, or Millhiore go instead?"
"They can go after me. It's not like Athena is going anywhere." He said.
When he did so Leonmitchelli smacked him upside the head.
"Don't say idiotic things." She told her brother. "Also, because of that you are going last."
"What? No, fair." Gaul said.
That's when Leonmitchelli leveled a glare at him that made him shut his mouth immediately.
"Fine, I'll go last." Gaul grumbled.
"That's what I thought." Leonmitchelli said. Showing a smile afterwards. "So then Ryuu and Millhiore its between the two of you that goes next."
"Ryuu, go ahead and go first." Millhiore said.
"Ok." Ryuu responded.
She then went upstairs and came back after a few minutes.
"I leveled up." Ryuu told us.
After her it was then Millhiore, followed by Ryner then Leonmitchelli and finally Gaul. All of whom leveled up as well.
So with this our entire familia is now level two.
Today really has been a good day.
Coming down with Gaul after she finished leveling him up Athena smiled brightly at all of us. "My children, I am so proud of you all."
"Thank you goddess Athena." We all said.
"Oh, I can't wait to see how the other gods will react when they found out how amazing all my children are." Athena said.
Since Denatus, the meeting of all the gods in Orario, is set to take place in the next two weeks. That information is public knowledge.
And since we all just leveled up it means we're now eligible to receive aliases from the gods.
However...
"Athena." I spoke up. "I don't think we should reveal our statuses." I said.
When I did so everyone looked at me like I was crazy.
"Allow me to explain." I said. "What I'm saying is I don't think we should reveal that everyone in our familia is now level two. At least not yet. I think only two or three of us at max should publicly showcase we have leveled up."
"Why?" Ryner asked."Evilus." I said. Which made everyone get serious. "We are planning on fighting them, and I hate to say it but they probably have allies in the guild itself. So if we reveal all the information about our familia and then start challenging them it wouldn't be hard for them to obtain it. Which would put us all in a dangerous situation. That's why I don't think we should reveal our true strength yet." I explained.
Besides, it's not uncommon for adventurers to take years to level up.
"I also suggest Athena start locking our statuses." I proposed. "But these are only suggestions. Since we are a familia we will make the final decision together. So, what do you guys think?"
"I agree with your ideas Morax." Ryner spoke up.
"As do I." Ryuu said. "Showing our true strength might hurt us right now. So it's better we keep quiet about it for the moment."
"Am, I'm fine with doing that as well." Millhiore said.
While both Gaul and Leonmitchelli simply nodded. Meaning that they agree with me as well.
Leaving on Athena.
"Athena, what say you?" I asked her.
"Keeping our true strength hidden, and providing the enemy with false information. Ah, such good children I have." Athena mused. Putting a happy smile on her face as she did so. "I am all for the plan."
"Ok then. We're all in agreement. Now then, to decide who will be publicly revealed as level two." I spoke. "I volunteer. Anyone else or any objections?"
"I also volunteer." Leonmitchelli said.
"Same with me." Gaul said.
The others didn't speak up. So the matter is settled.
Leonmitchelli, Gaul, and I are the ones who are going to be publicly revealed as the current level two's in the familia right now.
Which means we will all receive an alias from the gods after Denatus is over.
I can't say I'm not excited.
Though I just hope I don't receive a chunni ass nickname from the gods.
Here's hoping.

(3rd Person: POV)
And so two-weeks passed in the blink of an eye.
Then the time for Denatus arrived.
Assembling in their sacred chamber the gods who called Orario home mingled amongst themselves until the meeting officially began.
Sitting in a corner of the room Athena is chatting with two people she knew very well from heaven.
The goddess's Demeter and Hephaestus.
"Oh, three children already at level two, and ones so young." Demeter said.
Since Athena was going along with Morax's plan. She put forth his, Leonmitchelli, and Gaul's names as the only ones in her familia to have reached level two right before Denatus was scheduled to begin.
"Must be nice." Hephaestus commented.
"Yes, quite nice indeed." Athena responded. A smile on her face as she did so.
But then that smile dropped as soon as she heard a familiar voice call out to her.
"Oh, is that Athena I see over there."
Hermes.
Turning around Athena saw Hermes walking towards her. When he arrived he gave her a friendly smile. "Well now, fancy seeing you here." Hermes said. "Especially since ever since you arrived in the mortal world you've never attended Denatus."
It's true. Ever since Athena descended to the mortal world almost two years ago she has never once attended Denatus before today.
She saw no reason too.
But now with her children growing in strength, and their determination to fight Evilus and the gods behind them Athena has decided she is going to start attending Denatus from now on. To support them.
Even if she has to deal with people that grate on her nerves.
Like the one standing in front of her.
"I have to ask, why the sudden change?" Hermes questioned Athena.
"Oh, don't pretend like you don't already know." Athena responded to Hermes. Giving him a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.
Seeing this Hermes felt a shiver run across his entire body. Backing up from Athena a bit he started to laugh awkwardly. "Athena, why so hostile? We're old friends aren't we?"
"Old friends my ass you pervert." Athena responded. "When we were in heaven I caught you trying to sneak a peek on me and the other female gods how many times? And do you remember the beatings I gave you, hm Hermes?" Athena said in a sickeningly sweet voice.
"Hehehe, well you know." Hermes mused. "That's all in the past. Can't we let bygones be bygones and move towards a new and bright future together?" He asked.
"Sure." Athena said. "If you can say right now that you are no longer a pervert who beeps on girls then we can move forward with no issues. So, is that the case?" She asked. Giving Hermes another smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.
The moment he saw this he got another full-body shiver.
"Oh my, look at the time. Gotta go." Hermes said.
He then ran off.
As soon as he did so Athena's face returned to normal.
She then went back to chatting with Demeter and Hephaestus like nothing just happened at all.
The three female goddess's continued to do so until Denatus started.
Then once it did things got rolling.
The preceding's took place, discussing many topics.
First and foremost Evilus.
No gods in the room didn't know about that evil organization causing chaos and destruction.
They put forth several plans to eliminate the group and their gods.
Then once that was done they moved onto discussing the alias's for the most recently leveled up adventurers.
Morax, Leonmitchelli, and Gaul among them.
When everything was all said and done, the three had their very first monikers.

(Morax: POV)
Sitting in the living room with the others I waited until Athena returned from Denatus.
Anxious.
I mean this is going to be my very first alias after all. This title might stick with me during my entire career as an adventurer.
So I think I have a right to be worried and curious about what it is going to be.
Thinking about what the gods made have named me I was knocked out of my own head when Athena walked in through the front door.
Closing it behind her she walked up to all of us.
"The names have been decided." Athena said. "Gaul your alias will be Geri, and Leonmitchelli your alias will be Freki." She told the siblings.
Geri and Freki, two wolves who accompanied the Norse God Odin in mythology back in my old life. I think it perfectly suits the two siblings, since they are ferocious warriors in battle.
Those are some nice alias. Now I just hope I got the same deal.
"Morax. The alias that was decided for you was Glaukopis." Athena told me.
As she did so my eyes went wide with shock for a moment.
If I am remembering my mythology right, then Glaukopis is one of Athena's epithet's back in my old life. It literally translate into bright-eyed or gleaming eyes. Well I have golden eyes, and I am a child of the god Athena so I can see how it works.
"Glaukopis." I said.
Nodding after I did so.
Yeah, I can definitely work with it.
