143 Chapter 130: The Predators Become The Prey

(3rd Person: POV)

In an abandoned district of Orario, the Athena familia along with members of the Ganesha familia headed for a warehouse.

Reaching it, they wasted no time in breaking down the doors and charging inside.

Only to find nothing and no one waiting for them.

The warehouse was completely empty.

"No one is here." Leonmitchelli said.

Since she is leading the team from the Athena familia.

Which consists of Gaul, William, Echidna, and Ryuu.

Morax was released from the hospital some time ago and allowed to return home. But he was still ordered to maintain bed rest for a while. So he is back at the Owl House.

Along with the other members of the Athena familia who are guarding him and Athena herself.

Since they are targeting the Styx familia. They don't want to leave their home and goddess unguarded.

"Well, it's not that surprising really." William said. "We have been hitting the bases and establishments associated with the Styx familia for the past two weeks. So of course they would change things up." He said.

Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

"The question now is, what will they do next?" Ryuu asked.

"Guess we will just have to wait and see." Leonmitchelli said.

After the group from the Athena familia and the Ganesha familia searched the warehouse a bit more but still found nothing, they left it.

Then both groups split up and started heading their separate ways.

As Leonmitchelli and the others headed home they suddenly stopped in their tracks and put themselves on guard. Drawing their weapons.

"Looks like we are surrounded." William said, notching several arrows in his bow.

"Yep, looks like it." Leonmitchelli said.

Her eyes darting around the area they were in.

Out from the shadows came several figures all dressed head to toe in black. The only thing visible their eyes, which all had an emptiness to them.

"Kill them." One of the figures spoke.

The moment they did so the eyes of all the Athena familia members landed on them.

"Oh, looks like Styx didn't just send mindless assassins this time." Leonmitchelli said. "Just as Athena predicted."

Hearing the words spoken by Leonmitchelli the figure clad in black who ordered the others to move suddenly got a bad feeling in the pit of their stomach.

But before they could dwell on the feeling...

Ryuu moved.

Using her speed she got behind the figure who spoke and then hit them with Alf's Lumina, smacking them right into the ground from the atop the roof they were standing on.

The figure creating a small crater in the ground as they did so.

"Gah!"

Letting out a cry of pain as well.

"Ryuu, didn't I say we need them alive." Leonmitchelli said. "You can beat the shit out of them after we get the information we need." She said.

"Sorry." Ryuu said.

"Fucking cu-Agh!"

Before the figure could finish speaking Gaul moved up to them and planted a foot directly into their back, making the crater under them larger.

Meanwhile the other assassins were already in motion.

Having drawn their weapons they launched themselves at Leonmitchelli and the others.

But just as they did so William fired off volley after volley of his arrows at them, striking several of them in the limbs. Rendering them unable to fight instantly.

Though he didn't kill them.

Since he knew they were only attacking him and his comrades because they had no other choice.

As several assassin's fell instantly, the others continued moving to engage in combat.

But none of them could do anything either.

Since out of the shadows, Rogue appeared.

He shouted. Activating his magic.

Right after he did so multiple shadows transformed into blades and struck the remaining assassins, bringing the battle to a close before it ever began.

Just as this happened more figures exited from the shadows.

They were the Astraea familia, as well as members of the Ganesha familia.

"Looks like the plan went off without any trouble." Alise spoke.

Lifting their head up off the ground, the figure who was in the crater widened their eyes in shock. "No, don't tell me you planned all this?" They asked in utter disbelief.

"Well not us personally, it was our goddess Athena." Leonmitchelli told the figure as she walked up to them. "She knew that you guys and your goddess would plan a big attack sooner or later due to the fact we began fucking with your businesses and such. And since our Athena familia was leading the charge, she also guessed you would target us to make your statement. Once she did, we made a plan and then it was just a matter of playing the waiting game." She explained.

"No, no, no!" The figure shouted in utter shock.

"Yes." Ryuu said. Walking up to the figure and looking at them with cold dead eyes. "You were not the ones who trapped up us, but the other way around." She explained. "Everything has gone according to lady Athena's plans."

What Ryuu is speaking is the truth.

All is going according to Athena's plans.

"Exactly." Gaul said.

"Now then, we need you to answer some questions for us." Leonmitchelli said to the figure.

Putting an evil smile on her face as she did so.

The other Athena familia members surrounded the figure on the ground and did the same exact thing.

While this happened the Astraea familia and the Ganesha familia members secured the other injured and knocked out black clad figures.

"No, stay back. Get way. Help me. Hey, someone help!" The figure on the ground screamed.

But everyone ignored their cries for assistance.

They let the members of the Athena familia do their thing.

Because they all knew they wouldn't kill the figure.

"Noo!!!"

But that didn't mean they would get off scot free.

Not by a longshot.
