5 Chapter 5: Magic

Three years passes by again, Bell is 10 years old. He is 1.65 meter in height, he maintained his hair long like 20 centimeters below the shoulders and braided, his eyes still red but now they reflect the deeps desires of becoming a hero. He has dedicated all his life to train and although he is a level one, he knows how to survive in the dungeon, and his skills, sensorial and survival abilities support him.

The magic training was worth it through these years. Every single day was painful, when he got used to the pain, the power of lightning increased along with it, the good side was that Zeus couldn't use his stronger magic, a bolt of lightning that big could freak out people and even being heard in Orario.

Besides, he improved his mastery of argonaut skill, he could use his full power on one arm or leg or distributed it through the extremities he wants, more extremities less the power. The problem was that it was a one-shoot skill and an optimal power requires a minimum of 10-second, and the maximum charge time he reaches was 4 minutes.

On the other hand, thanks to the business on top of expansion the number of indirect contacts through their investors increase. They managed to hire a glass craftsman and a blacksmith from Orario. They were in the top tier list of best workers on his jobs.

And so, both of them worked together. The process to take advance of solar energy as a replacement of magic stones was improving. The manufacture of the light bulb was the most complex part and was divided into two, the external bulb and the electrical components.

The first one was simply the form of the bulb made with glass, and the last one is the process which involves the little glass tubes, and metallic wires that works as an electrical connection and one that heats and eventually produces light.

The difficult part was found inert gases, and eliminate the air from the bulb after join the two parts. After creating the solar panel that works as an energy supplier, the manufacturing was a process of creating, proving, and creating again, but with other materials. Minerals of Bell's old-world weren't present in this one, so they have to found alternatives.

By the second year that has passed, the first useful light bulb was created. The two workers were surprised, until that moment they think that his bosses were really strange and they didn't found any logic behind the bulbs.

The second and most important part of the product was a battery that allows the user to save energy and use it during the night, Bell worked on that. Again, to create it they have to prove a lot of chemical fluids and find the ones that serve as electrical converters from chemical reactions.

After a few months, they store enough quantity to start selling it. The product consisted of a light bulb installed in a wood box for one side and a solar panel for the other. Inside of it was the battery and the whole system could be connected to walls, wooden poles, roofs, among others, if they have solar light incoming, they will work. The size of the product wasn't that big, approximately an 0.5-meter square device and it wasn't heavy, less than a few kilogram.

The store got updated and the night before that Zeus and Bell used the product on his house and in some wood poles that they installed around his orchard and store. People were surprised by the light source, at first they thought that it worked with magic stone and everyone was depressed because as villagers they don't have so much money and it is too expensive to have and maintain one. But after noticing that they were offering a new light source that is independent of magic stone and in exchange use solar light, a free and cheap power source, they were impressed.

The light bulb business was the best, people started buying and installing it around the village. Every night the village shines more at night, it was safer and the guards that watched for any monster invasion were glad of the invention. A light source that they can charge through the day and then install in the vicinity of the wood help them to decrease the risk on their life and increase the village security.

Soon the branch offices also started to sell the product, the profits were half and half. Zeus and Bell were almost swimming in valis, they start to earn approximately 300.000 valis a month and increasing. Each month that passed his products is sold in further towns and cities around the world. Soon they will be like a big monopoly.

The final key in Bell's business plan is that every product that they sold is not indestructible, they could be broken and the only solution was to buy another. The better part is that it was impossible for their products to replace the ones that already existed, like the magic stone light bulb and the carts. So big enterprises didn't bother with their presence and allow them to maintain a low profile.

Zeus was happy, Bell grow has a good rate and now he is ready to level up, although it's not recommended, he needs to max out his stats and face an adventure to reach level 2.

Zeus: "Well, you improved a lot again. It's time for you to start fighting monsters, I will be at your side watching you while you use everything I taught you over these years. This will be the fire test, keep in mind that you could die if you make a mistake at the least opportune moment."

Bell was surprised, he waits all his life to this moment.

Zeus: "You will start with goblins and kobolds, then went deeper to fight wild apes, then Silverbacks and Finally Battle boars. If you kill the last one I will give you a present. And obviously, you have to kill them in the order that I said."

Bell: "It's a deal, let's start right now, I want to prove my strength and that all the hellish training was more than just suffering"

And so, Bell and Zeus left his home and went ahead to the forest. Bell was burning with passion and the desire to break the pain wheel that he was confronting since 2 years old. He needed to demonstrate to himself that he got stronger.
