2 The Land of Orario

Thump! Thump!

The sound of galloping could be heard as two figures sat on the back of a shining white horse that headed for a large castle wall. "That wall in front of us surrounds Orario, there the Dungeon exists along with many adventurers and various races inside the walls" a feminine voice explained to the figure behind her.

"I see, Orario huh. What exactly are the Dungeon and Adventurers?" a childish male voice asked. "The Dungeon that tall white tower you can see standing out from the wall which consists of many floors. Adventurers are those who receive blessings from the Gods that grant them power enabling them to head into the Dungeon and explore the floors" the female replied.

"I see, so the Goddess who gave you her blessings is Loki?" the male asked. "Yes, I am a child of the Goddess Loki. Children who receive blessings from the Gods become a part of their Familia. Unfortunately, she is not recruiting any new blood so I cannot bring you to the Loki Familia" she replied.

"I see, well that does sound interesting, I hope I can join a great Familia and become an adventurer. Maybe I will be able to restore my memories" the male spoke.

"I wish you luck" the young girl replied as the two of them continued conversing as they headed for Orario.

After traveling for 20 or so minutes on horseback, the two of them approached Orario. The young man could see many travelers heading in and out of the large gate as their horse slowed down before stopping completely.

Jumping off the horse, the two of them as well as the horse walked inside the gates of Orario as they are greeted by the guards.

"Welcome back Lady Shea" one of the guards said. She nodded as the two of them continued walking past the gates while the guards looked at Glass' attire.

When Glass had woken up, he noticed his own attire which included a shirt and some cloth making him appear like a samurai. On his neck was a long white scarf that was extremely thin and more like a ribbon rather than a scarf.

He also had pieces of armor in various places like his chest and the joints around his body such as his elbows and kneecaps. No weapon could be seen on him even though he had armor which caught the guard's attention. "Weird, he seems to be an adventurer but he doesn't carry a weapon on him" the guard thought.

Entering the gate, Glass was greeted by a sight that he had never seen before. Many large houses stood on each side of the stone path while various races such as humans and elves walked around the busy streets. Many of them even wore armor and weapons on their bodies which he could obviously conclude that they were Adventurers.

Shea brought Glass along with her as she said, "I'll show you the way to the Guild. There you can register as an Adventurer and take on quests. They can also provide you with information on any Familia's that are recruiting some new members"

"I also need to tell you this, Adventurers are classified by levels starting from 1, 2 ,3 and etc. The current strongest Adventurer in all of Orario is level 7 who belongs to the Freya Familia while the other one is unknown" Shea explained.

"So how do we level up exactly? I get that we can get stronger by fighting monsters, but that doesn't exactly explain much" Glass asked.

"Well, starting from level 1, every Adventurer has various stats that start from I rank. One Basic Stat needs to be D rank and accomplish something that even the Gods would be impressed with, such as defeating a stronger monster before an Adventurer can level up where their stats will reset back to rank I but will still be much stronger than their stats from the previous level"

"Adventurers can also have skills. Skills can appear regardless of level. They can correct and strengthen specific basic abilities, magic, and actions. The chance of discovering a skill is said to be rare, and skills with effects that no one else has are considered to be rare skills while some even have variations"

"The Gods grant children Falna in order to fight monsters while skills can be inherent or received from doing various actions such as Smithing" Shea explained.

"I see, that makes sense" Glass replied.

Shortly afterward, the two of them arrived at the Adventurers Guild also known as the Guild and entered. Entering the Guild, Glass looked around at the large building as the two of them walked up to the receptionist's desk.

The Guild wasn't busy since no one came by which meant the two of them were immediately greeted. "Welcome back Shea" a young woman with pointy ears and glasses said.

"I'm back, Eine" Shea replied. The elf named Eine looked at Glass while another Guild employee with short pinkish hair teased, "Heh, you brought back a handsome boyfriend?"

"Misha, don't tease her" Eine scolded. "Hehehe, just kidding" Misha replied as she minded her own business. "So who is this? We've never seen him before even though he appears to be an Adventurer" Eine asked.

Shea then began to explain Glass's circumstances to Eine. "I see now, that is truly a sad thing. I would like to explain to you about the Guild and provide you with information on any Familia's" Eine said.

"Thank you very much" Glass replied.

"The main goal of the Guild is to manage the monster threat created in the dungeon. Aside from this, the Guild buys magic stones, drop loot, and adventurer created maps of the dungeon. The Guild also provides weapons and armor to new adventurers who are just starting out"

"The Guild staff also take the position of advisors for adventurers, often suggesting at what depth an adventurer should go in a dungeon in accordance to their level and skills, as well as warning them of any special dangers of certain floors and how to prepare against them. A staff member may also be in charge of one or more adventurers" Eine explained.

"I see, that's great" Glass replied. "How about it, would you like me to be your advisor?" Eine suggested to him.

"That would be great, I am in your care" Glass said as he bowed. "Likewise" Eine replied. Suddenly, Shea interjected, "Glass, Eine, I need to head back to the Loki Familia now. I'll see you again another time" as she began to leave the Guild.

"Thank you" Glass replied as Eine and himself said goodbye to Shea who left the Guild.
