26 Improving steadily

Once he defeated his opponent, Glass turned around to pick up the Magic Stone that it had dropped on the ground.

When he did so, he checked his level, to see that he had leveled up. When he rejoined the twins, they told him, "Looks like you don't need our help at all. In fact, you'll surpass us shortly. It's a bit upsetting to know that someone will surpass us in a short amount of time, even though we spend some years to get to where we are." Yheia told him.

"It's a joke, we're proud of the fact that the person we just happened to save, is in fact a genius who will become famous shortly." Omaos said afterward.

Hearing what they had to say, Glass didn't know what he could tell them. He could only smile bitterly.

Sitting down, he joined them for lunch and rested as he reflected on his experience of when he had fought the Skeleton Knight. From what the twins have told him, much stronger Monsters, that is similar to it, will be appearing on the next few floors.

When he finished resting, Yheia applied various buffs, including Strength up, Agility up, Endurance up, Dexterity up and Magic up. Once the buffs were applied, Glass went off on his own to defeat Monsters by himself.

Along the way, he had gotten used to moving around with the buffs that were applied to him. Using his new experience and the buffs, he defeated several Skeleton Knights quickly, which he had struggled with just a little while ago.

Just like that, two weeks had gone by. Glass spent the entire two weeks on the Fourteenth Floor, to defeat every type of Monster that could spawn on the floor. His two weeks were useful for him, as he gained the knowledge to defeat all of them easily without taking a single hit.

His level had also gone up by over 20 levels, he was slowly approaching Omaos and Yheia's strength even though they were higher level than him.

...

After memorizing the ways to defeat each and every Monster from the floors above and the current floor, Glass finally moved on to the Fifteenth Floor by himself. The twins knew that he wouldn't have any trouble by himself, even without Yheia's buffs.

This time, Glass spent three days to learn about the new Monster that spawned on the Fifteenth Floor. The new Monster was a Skeleton Horse which had much higher strength and agility than the Skeleton Knight he had fought previously.

Once he did so, Glass moved up to the Sixteenth Floor and was close to reaching the Monster Rex which only spawned on the next floor up. Surprisingly, even though he went to the Dungeon every day, he didn't meet any other Adventurers of Aciras.

On the Sixteenth Floor, another new Monster appeared. Rather than a Skeleton Knight, it was a true knight. The Knight wore a full suit of metal armor, that covered itself from head to toe. In its hand, is a sword, which it holds by its side at all times.

Standing across from it, Glass drew his sword, in which the Knight did so as well. Drawing its sword, the Knight held it with both hands on the handle, as it moved it towards the center of its body. The sword was held by the handle and revealed the blade as it moved the sword upward to point at the ceiling, before taking it down to its side and got ready to face Glass.

"A Monster with a sense of chivalry huh, that's interesting." Glass thought.

Whoosh!

His body which had improved greatly, and could already move as fast as lightning in the past, is now even faster than before. He stepped on the ground and dashed at the Knight which held a steady stance, and prepared to counter-attack.

Ching!

Glass waved his sword at its and swung at his opponents' shoulder, the Knight moved its sword to parry his attack, as Glass who had, had his attack parried, swung his sword back while it was in mid-air.

Ding!

This time, he used more strength in this second attack, which pushed back the Knight. His leg swung out like a whip as it lashed against the armor of the Knight, which made it fly backward in the air.

The knight stabbed its sword into the ground, in order to stop it from flying back. Glass moved again as he slashed the air five times, which made sword waves fly towards the knight from five different locations at once!

The Knight held the sword with both hands and slashed once to the right, before spinning its body to slash left, which eliminated three of the sword waves, before dodging the remaining two.

Glass stayed in his spot and held the sword with one hand, his arms moved like lightning as he sent out a flurry of sword waves that seemed limitless.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The unlimited sword waves that didn't seem to draw his strength at all, were unleashed upon the Knight which couldn't destroy them all. After just a few moments, the Knight's sword dropped to the ground as its body and sword turned into black smog, dropping a Magic Stone on the ground.

Glass sheathed his sword as he grabbed the Magic Stone and continued ahead.
