25 Chapter 25: The Blood King is Coming

Noctis's aura broke past what should have been possible. Now more than half of the adventurers were on a knee while the level threes from before were now passed out. His aura had reached down to the lower floors mostly everyone on floor 18 was knocked out. His aura had now reached up to the first floor as well as threatening to break to the surface.

Noctis looked around as Marin and five others were the only ones left standing. However, he was only getting angrier. Rage was fueling his body he seemed to be suffocating everyone around.

Marin spoke, "Noctis you need to control yourself."

But Noctis did not hear it, his rage coming even further thinking about past events and betrayals. His aura broke again becoming even larger. He was craving his old power to be able to only rely on himself. This time level fours were being knocked out.

This time it did break to the surface and most of Orario collapsed excluding level fives and higher as well as all the Gods and Goddesses. Many were confused about what was happening. Noctis looked around to see everyone taking a knee.

Noctis grabbed Marin by the throat and slammed her against the wall. Marin was struggling under his grasp. Marin was shocked 'wasn't he two levels lower than me'

Noctis in a growl said, "Did you plan this?"

Marin was gasping for air trying to speak but Noctis would not loosen his grip. She was finally able to squeak out "No."

Noctis narrowed his eyes "How do I know you're not lying?"

Marin choked out "Look… at... my... soul."

Noctis looked at her soul and saw her life before this one. He saw everything. Marin looked at him and could see blood-red tears going down his face. Noctis had thought of his own life. He wiped his eyes and he simply smirked and dropped her. Marin got on her knees on the ground and greedily took breathes of air. She looked back up at Noctis with her eyes widened. A crown of blood had formed on his head. In the next moment, she saw him kill eighteen out of the twenty adventurers who had surrounded them. During this Marin had also taken the time to look at his soul and life.

Noctis was strangely happy now. That someone was viewing the pain he had endured. As well as to see someone from his world. Not just anyone at that but someone who also knows pain and was at the top of their nation.

It had calmed him down to such a degree. Just knowing he was not betrayed helped him get his sense back.

Noctis sat in front of her as he grabbed two-level fives. They were still awake and breathing. Noctis looked at one in the eyes and used hypnosis "Who did this?"

The man hesitated for a second "Ishtar said she would remove our debts if we fought you and reported back. Killing you if necessary."

Noctis visibly calmed down and his aura retracted just to this floor. "I see."

Noctis started to laugh "I really wanted to kill her anyway."

Noctis threw one of them over to Marin. "Drink half his blood?"

Marin was shocked "What?"

Noctis shook his head "In the East, this is a way to make a pact between two people. Did they not have this in the south?"

Marin frowned "No I never cared much about culture after a certain point."

Noctis looked at her understanding her pain. Marin got a slight blush from seeing Noctis stare at her. They were on a much more connected level now. Knowing everything about each other's past now. Noctis sighed "This pact is also needed to prevent us from going to war."

Marin frowned "Why would we go to war?"

Noctis sighed "Your neck looks like you just got assaulted. You were technically spying on me and Freya probably doesn't like how much I know. Loki is going to be pissed about this incident and tensions will be high."

Noctis then continued "If you drink their blood with me we form a bond. Both a pact and a friendship. Coming out of here as friends will hopefully deescalate the situation."

Marin's eyes went wide "Fine you make some good points. But before we start how much did you see of my past."

Noctis frowned "When I looked at your soul I saw a lot. I know you saw a lot when you were looking at mine. Are pasts appear to be quite similar. Even before "death". Plus it's better than this back and forth where we try to see how the other feels about knowing all this information about each other."

Marin frowned but did not say a word as she bore her fangs and bit the guy's neck. Noctis did the same until they were both a pale pink. They then passed the bodies to each other as they finished getting their blood.

Marin sighed "I should have known you from that same accursed world when you brought up the idea of the pact. So you decided to change your name?"

Noctis narrowed his eyes "I abandoned that name. But I want my nickname back as the Blood King."

Marin smiled "Well well the famous Blood King of the East. As you know I was the Blood Queen of the South before I came here."

Noctis looked her in the eyes "Steve?"

Marin smiled "Steve."

They both started to die laughing. Noctis sighed "So how long has the Bloody Mistress of the South been here?"

It got deathly quiet Marin frowned "Don't bring that nickname here."

Noctis shrugged "Fine Marin how long have you been here?"

Marin was twirling her hair as she laid down on the ground floor "A year and a half. You?"

Noctis smiled "A month."

Marin frowned and mumbled, "Maybe he really has always been stronger than me."

Marin then said clearly "So what kind of vampire are you?"

Noctis frowned "Genetically made."

Marin was shocked "But I thought those practices were destroyed."

Noctis nodded "I'm the last one I destroyed everything."

Noctis got up and knocked the dust off "We should leave this area. What are you going to do?"

Marin sighed "I have to report back to Freya."

Noctis made an oh face "Why did you join her Familia anyways?"

Marin shrugged "They are the strongest plus she is nice to look at. Why did you join the Loki Familia?"

Noctis smirked "I'll make the Loki Familia the strongest plus they are fun. But before we head up I wanted to ask. You want to go on a date tomorrow?"

Marin stopped walking for a moment and paused. It was a long pause, Noctis actually held his breath for a moment. Marin then said, "I suppose."

Noctis tilted his head "You don't have to if….."

Marin waved her hands in front of Noctis "I want to don't worry. It's just I have to tell Freya. This is not the outcome she expected."

Noctis smiled and kept walking "What did she expect."

Marin put her fingers together and palms separated flexing her fingers "To flip you to our Familia or kill you. I even suggested the idea of killing you."

Noctis gave her a side glance. Marin pouted "What I did not know what kind of vampire you were. It's even better that you hate the Ishtar Familia. She might as well call her whole Familia cattle."

Noctis started to laugh "Well let's just see what Freya and Loki say about us before anything else."

They both started to head up the stairs. Noctis immediately noticed people rapidly heading towards them it was his own Familia. Noctis turned to Marin "What are the chances that they find the bodies?"

Marin frowned "We should definitely avoid them finding out. Our bite marks are on two of them."

Noctis shrugged "Well Finn knows I'm a vampire."

Marin narrowed her eyes "Does anyone know about me?"

Noctis shook his head "No I wouldn't tell anyone unlike you who told Freya."

Marin rolled her eyes "Freya can see souls too. She probably already knew about you."

Noctis sighed "Alright just let me talk to them. Just go with what I do."

Marin nodded and followed Noctis to the Loki group. Noctis waved at them "Hey guys what are you doing here?"

Finn rushed over "Are you alright?"

Noctis nodded "Yeah what's wrong?"

Finn was confused "Did you not feel that energy many people on the surface as well as the floors above were knocked out. Luckily no deaths have been reported yet. We are about to go down further to check for anyone else. Loki also wanted us to find you since she knew you were here."

Noctis looked around "Is that why Lefiya and Ais are not here?"

Riveria nodded "Ais is fine but she was having trouble moving. Lefiya was knocked out, however."

Noctis smiled "Well that was actually me. I was fighting hordes of monsters that were a higher level than me. There were many variants. I kept breaking through my limits I think. Then my girlfriend Marin came at the last second to help."

Bete was shocked "Girlfriend? last I checked she slammed your head into the bar."

Marin rolled her eyes and sarcastically said "What can I say he won me over."

Noctis then quickly said "We looked around but there was no one else down there. We should pick people up on the way back up. After all, there should be some high-level 5s and 6s on floor 18 to look after the rest.

Finn nodded "I agree. Then you need to report to Loki about what happened."

Finn paused "Also about your new relationship."

Noctis was confused "Is it that big a deal?"

Finn nodded "Marin will probably agree as well since we are the top Familias. Freya and Loki tend to butt heads like sisters."

They started to head back up. What Noctis did not know is that his awakening had caused some unnatural changes to happen to both the monsters and the dungeon itself on the deeper floors.

(A/N When it comes to Marin I do not plan on killing her. Not sure what exactly I will do with her and how her story will progress. But this is not like other multiple reincarnates against each other or anything like that so don't worry. The OC is the only one with a lot of story knowledge and what not.
