Chapter 120 - Ares Familia..

Lucius went to the front of the Tower of Babel where a meeting was taking place at that moment. Shakita was gathered with the family and aligned gods, there were many families, but the main ones were those of Ganesha and Freya, who stood with all their members in a corner.

Lucius approached through the air, and his presence was soon noticed. As he flew and landed near them, he walked past the adventurers and went to the guild's employees.

Royman Mardeel was standing on a platform. He looked at Lucius, as always, not with kind eyes towards the mage.

"I was summoned to come here, how can I assist?" Lucius asked the man beside his employees as everyone watched.

"Lucius Drakenar... Yes, we requested your presence to assist in the defense of the city. We would like you to go outside the city with the Freya family to help delay Ares' troops," he commented.

"Fufufu. It seems we will work together... Lucius-kun, or should I say, mage king," Freya said in her usual tone.

Lucius looked at her and saw several members of her family for the first time, meeting them. "I suppose so..." Lucius commented casually, maintaining the same cool demeanor he always has with Freya.

However, the members of the goddess's family looked at him with blood in their eyes as if they were going to fight against Lucius and not against Ares and his army. Clearly, they did not like Freya interacting with Lucius, much less that Lucius seemed to snub her in front of everyone.

Heith, with her red hair alongside the family members, also looked at Lucius angrily, even though she already knew how Lucius acted with her Goddess, as had happened at Apollo's banquet. Ottar was the only one who kept his composure, and Lucius shrugged if he had just irritated the most powerful family in Orario, maybe this would earn him another nickname.

They continued to discuss with the present and summoned families, most would stay within the walls to deal with the panic or any unforeseen event that occurred.

"With this, I count on all of you to protect this city," Royman commented, and Lucius turned specifically to Ottar.

"I will just do my job and defeat the army, I hope not to follow any orders. So, goodbye." Lucius commented, before disappearing and appearing in the sky heading to the area where Ares was marching.

"That guy, he's so arrogant! I should break all his bones!" Allen Fromel looked at Luffy while growling.

"What should I do, Freya-Sama?" Ottar asked his goddess.

"Let him do what he wants. Fufufufu, I find this mortal so intriguing..." She commented.

Lucius was in the sky over Orario, looking at the large army approaching from a distance, 30,000 soldiers.

"Should I just attack them?" Lucius questioned. "No, let's wait for them to get closer, it might be more fun this way than launching a surprise attack." Lucius murmured, he wasn't afraid, regardless of how he acted, Ares would face a crushing defeat by Freya's own family.

It didn't take long for the army to form up near the city walls an hour later while Lucius was reading a book by Riveria in the sky.

"Hahahahahaha! Orario, the city we will conquer!" Ares announced with a pose.

The members of Freya's family were silent on the other side. "Hm? It seems we have some people to welcome us! What do we have here, if not the Freya family! Hahahahaha!" He started laughing, seeing the adventurers in front of the Wall.

The Freya family remained silent. "Well, anyway... Formation! Let's conquer this city by the end of the day!" He exclaimed, and the army prepared to attack.

"Attack!" At the first moment they initiated their attack, the Freya family acted. They began to repel the soldiers running towards the city.

*BOOM!*

All members of the Freya family quickly began to defeat the soldiers, who, despite being level 1 with falnas on their backs, the Freya family was composed of many levels 5, 6, and Ottar as 7, even 30,000 soldiers stood no chance.

"Should I act...?" Lucius commented, since he was here, although it seemed futile with the battle being dominated, he would do his part.

He looked at the army, and fireballs began to appear by his side. He began to launch his fireball magic like a machine gun at the ants near Ares while Ottar and the others were fighting the vanguard.

"What is this?" Ares looked up as fireballs flew towards him, wondering where the attack had come from, but it was already too late.

*BOOM!*

The explosions started one after the other, delivering a heavy blow to the enemy army. "Who is attacking?!" Ares was confused, seeing the attacker flying at a certain distance in the sky. His archers were useless, and he was quite alarmed that Lucius did not stop casting magic on them, while the army around him began to suffer both in the vanguard not fighting against the Freya family and behind the army with Lucius attacking from the sky.

"Ares-Sama! We must retreat!" A commander of the army shouted, pleading as he fled from the fireballs.

"Why? We are so close, we can win!" Ares still insisted.

"We can't, Ares-Sama, our army is being destroyed!" The man pointed to the explosions happening near them with fire coming from the sky and the fire spreading while the army lost morale and fled not to be hit.

"That bastard, he doesn't stop attacking, what is he made of?" Ares was furious with Lucius, seeing that the mage seemed to have no limit while blasting the army from there.

"What should I do..." Ares was lost and looked to a corner. "This!" He looked at something quite interesting and it did not take long for him to return with someone tied up.

"Hahaha look who I caught! I have a hostage!" Ares shouted, and who was in his arms was a desperate Hestia.

"Ares, let me go now, or you will see!" Hestia was screaming.

Lucius stopped attacking from the sky, looking dazed at this. "How could this happen? Hadn't Cassandra warned about this, how could they fail to take care of Hestia?" Lucius wanted to hit his family at that moment.

He sighed and saw how it happened in the anime, Hestia falls to another region and Bell with Aiz, go after her. Lucius shrugged. "Well, they can handle this, let's finish with this army." Lucius went back to destroying all the soldiers with his magics.

Seeing the army retreating defeated with an Ares saying he would have his revenge, Lucius relaxed and returned to the ground, where Ottar and the others were at that moment.

"I guess we're done here. I'll be going." Lucius said to the level 7 man.

"Aren't you going after your goddess?" He asked in a neutral tone.

"She'll be fine, she's with Bell and they'll be back in the city soon." Lucius commented and started flying towards the city.

He landed at the gate when he saw his girlfriend with her goddess. "Chibi took my Aiz!" Loki was screaming,

"Calm down, Loki-Sama." Riveria commented in her neutral tone.

"Calm down?! All my daughters are being seduced by the chibi's sons! And if that Bell Cranel corrupts Aiz too!" Loki was screaming.

"Don't talk like that. Goddess Loki, Riveria, and I have something cool here." Lucius approached.

"You! You thieving mommy's king!" Loki pointed her trembling finger at Lucius.

"Lucius! I heard you fought. It seems it's already over." Riveria commented in a sweeter tone to Lucius.

"Hey, are you listening to me!?" Loki did not like being ignored.

"Yes, it was quite easy, I helped, but I'm sure the Freya family could have handled them." Lucius said, approaching Riveria.

"I see... But it seems it's over now." Riveria commented, crossing her arms.

"Why am I being ignored?!" Loki shouted again.

"Yes, it's still morning, I'm thinking of going to the dungeon, do you want to join me?" Lucius smiled seductively.

"See, he's trying to corrupt mommy again!" Loki was screaming, but was once again ignored as Riveria smiled timidly at Lucius.

"Yes, we can do that, I'm free too." Riveria commented.

"That's great, let's go!" Lucius said, grabbing Riveria by the waist, as he disappeared from the place and appeared in the air flying towards the dungeon entrance.

"I just got ignored... He stole mommy... He took her to be corrupted again... I HATE YOU LUCIUS!!!" Loki screamed at the top of her lungs in anger as she returned to the gate, kicking any stone in her path angrily.

As soon as Loki left the place, a Lefiya appeared standing behind her with empty eyes. She was worried about Aiz spending time with Bell outside of Orario just like Loki, but seeing how Lucius and Riveria interacted

and ignored their goddess left her even more shocked. "What's happening..." She murmured.
