39 Chapter 39: Kidnapped

Celeste’s POV

“Devlin!”

I back away from him and turn to run for the door. How did he get in? How did he find me? What the h*ll is going on?

“I won’t let you go this time, Celeste.” He was in front of the door, he had a smirk on his face.

I don’t know any spells that would work on him, turning to my wolf isn’t an option as it still takes me a moment to bring her out.

I dash away from the door and head for the balcony. If I must run for it, I might as well jump for it.

I push open the doors and get ready to leap out the window. Devlin grabs my arm and yanks me back. His hand wraps around my throat and he lifts me off the ground.

“You should behave little wolf. I don’t want to hurt you, but you sure know how to annoy me. I don’t have much time before Zayden notices something is wrong. I hate that I must do this, but you left me no choice.”
