34 Chapter 34: Breaking out

Celeste’s POV

It’s been two days since Zayden locked me up in my room. I attempted to get out yesterday but Zayden made it clear that I will put up a fight and made more than one guard stay by my door.

The last two days I spent on my phone. I’ve been researching spells that I could master and break out of here. I don’t know where I will go, but what I do know is that I don’t want to be here. My heart hurts that not only did Oliver abandon me, but Zayden broke his promise.

They haven’t contacted me to let me know that they are okay. I don’t know what is happening outside that door. If they want to be like that, I will do my own thing. I plan on breaking out of here and doing things MY way.

I gaze out the window, a rush of loneliness hits me. Is this how a princess feels about being locked up in a tower? I don’t want a knight in shining armor to rescue me from a dragon, I want to help fight the dragon with the knight. I grip my phone, there is a fire burning through me.
