Chapter 33: It's starting

Celeste POV

I snap open my eyes and fling myself out of bed. I can feel Zayden’s anger, and I could have sworn I heard him roar loudly. I hurry out of the room, ignoring how tired I feel. I need to check what’s going on. I dash to his study; I knew he would be there. I hear shouting and loud noises. I don’t have a good feeling about this.

I reach his study and open the door. Matthew was holding Zayden back. The look on Zayden’s face made me step back. His eyes are pitch black, he doesn’t look like Zayden, I know. His aura was to kill, Matthew is having a hard time holding him back.

I am hesitant to step forward, but I do anyway. I slowly approach them, it’s as if they don’t see me. I walk in front of Zayden, I stretch out my arms and cup his face.

Matthew turns to me.

“Celeste, you should get out of here. He isn’t acting like himself.” I ignore him.
