1 Begin

"Let's break up, Aiden."

Aiden sighs as he walks through the coldness of the night. It is the gloomy night that became a witness of what is supposed to be a loving night.

He scoffs at the sudden thought that the man he had been together for five years is the person who will love him for a longer time.

He shakes his head as he passes through a familiar dark alleyway where they had their first kiss, away from the judging eyes of people.

He stops and looks at the alleyway intently as tears start to fall from his eyes. He wipes those tears away and continues walking to the park where the man confessed to him.

"Pathetic."

He sighs once again as he walks and walks until he reaches the park with a heavy heart. He should've expected this to happen since most of the relationships that he had always ended up like this.

But he really thought that the man is the one for him. The man showed that he is but after what he saw at the cinema, his heart begins to doubt everything about his boyfriend.

He releases a heavy sigh as he hums the theme song that they danced at the senior prom night. He sits down on of the swings at the park and looks far away from the flickering lights of the city.

His heart aches and his mind floods with curses and regrets for falling for someone like him. He pours his heart out as he tries to sing the lines of the song that remained as the only memory of the man he loved.

He cries out in pain as the song of the crickets and the quietness of the night can be heard around the park. He pours all of the regrets and every heartbreak he felt throughout his lifetime.

He cries, and cries, and cries until his heart is tired and his tears won't fall anymore. And then, he stops.

Aiden wipes the tears away and exhales a shaky breath as he quietly brings himself up from the swing when he notices another man standing not far from him.

The man is tall and had broad shoulders. He has long dark hair, muscular body, and his eyes were sparkling throughout the night sky.

The man is standing under the lamppost and staring into the vast space of the hilltop as the winds blow towards him, making his hair flows alongside it.

He looks magnificent and enchanting.

Aiden suddenly feels his heart beats louder than usual. He places his hands on his chest and grasps it in an attempt to make it stop from beating after his long-awaited breakup.

"Stop, please. I don't want to fall anymore."

Aiden looks at the man once again. His eyes widen when he sees a pair of ocean blue eyes.

They were breathtaking.

Aiden blinks away when he sees the man looking at him with a soft smile. He feels as if his heart suddenly stops and his mind went blank.

He steps backward when he notices that the man is stepping towards him. Aiden does not know what to do but freezes where he is standing.

When the man is just a meter away from him, Aiden closes his eyes tightly. Thinking the man will notice his nervousness and just walks away.

If only.

Aiden did not hear any footsteps for a moment, his mind is still blank from what happened earlier but he decides to look if the man is still there.

His biggest mistake.

As Aiden opens his eyes to see if the man is still there, his muddy brown eyes suddenly made contact with the prettiest ocean blue eyes that he had ever seen in his entire life.

He gasps quietly as he is mesmerized by the man's eyes. He feels as if his breath is taken by an invisible wave that hits the rocks by the shore.

Aiden stares at him as the man's eyes never leave his muddy brown ones. It is a magical moment for Aiden. Is this what it feels like when someone falls in love?

It's a question that Aiden does not have an answer for.

They were staring for a moment, making Aiden awkward by the stranger in front of him.

He doesn't know the man but he feels safe with him. It is something he never felt for such a long time. He had been craving for it.

The man's hand suddenly moves towards his face, cupping his chin, and making Aiden shivers at the sudden contact of the man's cold gloved hand to his cold and wet cheeks.

He tried not to flinch by the sudden contact but his body just moved on its own, making the man chuckles at his reaction.

Upon hearing the man's laughter, Aiden blushes, revealing a hint of red tints that surrounds his whole cheeks.

Aiden is thinking for an escape route when he feels the man's thumb wipes the last bit of tears on my cheek, making his steps back and away from the man.

Aiden places his palm on his chest and feels that his heart is beating faster than before. He thinks that if this prolongs, he would die of tachycardia.

He looks at the man who is still smiling at him softly until he hears the man's voice with something familiar.

"Aiden! You dumbass! Wake up! We are going to be late!"

Aiden blinks at the man's voice. He looks macho and handsome but his voice is too high pitched and he sounds like an angry mom.

He blinks once again when he suddenly feels something hits his back. He turns around and screams, making him flinch with glory.

He rubs his eyes and stares at the white ceiling in front of him. He groans and rubs his back when he notices an angry roommate beside him.

He grimaces when he sees his roommate with a red face and shrieks when he notices what time it is.

"Cassidy, you bitch! Why did you not wake me up?!"
