3 The Truth

As soon as Shuichi heard this word his head tilted sideways in confusion, "Wait, Shuichi! let them finish I know it will be a bit confusing but just stick with it for few minutes" Said Kaede with a worrying voice trying to get to Shuichi.

"I know that this might be confusing for you Shuichi, and it will be also for the other two, especially with Harukawa, her killer instincts might come out as soon as she woke up, but never mind that, I am going off-topic," Rantaro said.

"Wait, is this Hope Peaks Academy?" Shuichi asked.

"Yes, but not quite, you can consider it like another campus apart from the main one, this is campus is focused on evaluating the new coming students and help them improve on what they seem to be lacking, so you can consider this as your orientation to Hope Peaks Academy" Rantaro explained trying to leave no room for questions.

"But if this is true then what was this whole killing game about?" Desperation could be heard in Shuichi's words. "And what is this Danganronpa stuff?" Shuichi asked directly to Rantaro.

"Danganronpa is the code name of this simulation you just got out of, Danganronpa was made so classmates could grow together and trust each other, we had used the Danganronpa simulation for about 3 to 4 years now, but never did a simulation have had a conclusion like yours" Rantaro explained.

"Usually the Danganronpa simulation ends on the first trial being the only one where the victim and the culprit will be both undercover teachers. You as classmates should have gotten to the conclusion that I was the killer" Tsumugi added. "But what we never saw coming is that one of the students actually tried to kill the teacher, this brought some remorse to the tutors and one of them proposed to let the game continue".

"Tutors? Who are you talking about?" Shuichi asked.

"Don't worry you'll get to meet them" Kaede answered while trying to calm down Shuichi.

"One of the tutors proposed to let the game continue, so we could find out more about each and every single one of the students, the other tutors hesitated, but ultimately they agreed, so we kept the simulation continue until it got you three here" Rantaro finished explaining.

"But then what was the whole point of the killings and punishments, my classmates suffered the pain and agony of being killed" Shuichi thinking on his friends and all the pain they must have been through said this.

"If it is about pain don't worry about it I assure you they didn't feel anything at all before each execution we turned off their sensitive receptors so they could not feel any pain at all. Of course, cruel with be the words you are looking for, but all of this had a purpose and you will eventually find out why" A voice of authority filled Rantaro's words.

"So, now that you know the truth, we will just wait for the other two girls to wake up, then we will take you to your tutors," Tsumugi said.

"Wait" Shuichi interrupted. "So, then you two are-?".

"Your evaluators for the Danganronpa simulation. We were students from Hope Peaks Academy. Maybe I should reintroduce myself with my talent. My name is Rantaro Amami, I am 21 years old and I am the former Ultimate Adventurer". "And I am Tsumugi Shirogane, I am 21 years old as well and I am the former Ultimate Cosplayer".

"So those things about you guys were true, the only lie was Rantaro's talent and your age" Shuichi added.

"I am sorry for lying to all of you, but this was indeed needed for us to evaluate all of you. Now we will check on how Yumeno and Harukawa are doing if you'll excuse us, we will be back with them in a few minutes" Just as soon as Rantaro finished he and Tsumugi left the room.

"Is everything better now Shuichi?" Asked Kaede will kneeling to be close to Shuichi.

"I think that for now, my thoughts are a lot clearer, but I still can't trust them completely I have my doubts about them" Responded Shuichi, doubt overwhelmed his voice.

"Well, now I think you just need to know the tutors, just try to not get scared okay?" Kaede said.
